yet another 9 patch quilt. I'm using Kona jelly rolls in dusky and dark. It's been so fun mixing and matching the colors. So far, I'm loving it! I have 7 9 patches left to make, then I get to assemble the top. I am enjoying watching this one take shape!
If you haven't entered yet, the giveaway for the GO! Baby is still open. :)
Nice fall colors! You can't go wrong with 9-patches, plus they're easy and fun to do. Who wouldn't love this?
I think that this is really nice and that they will enjoy! I totally get the think fall idea--Fall happens to be my favorite season to live in and to decorate for because I just love the oranges and reds, etc. :o)
Ooooh. Lovely. I challenge you to do it without white sashing...
That does seem like a lot of fun...mixing and matching those solids. It could be fun to have a couple of fun leaf prints in just a wee few centers on several of the squares....just a few for a surprise!:)
Your quilt top is looking great. I am sure the recipient will love it.
Not my normal colors either, but it is looking beautiful. I'm with Cheryl -- I wouldn't sash it in white either. Maybe go with a dark brown or a khaki or something that keeps with the somber color palette.
I'm making a fall quilt using 4 patch squares. I'm making it for a quilt along over at p.s. i quilt.
Your's is lovely. They will love it!!
Great idea for a present
Should be pretty with those awesome blocks. How are you going to set them?
I love the yellows and oranges!
Looking very good.
That will be a beautiful and timeless quilt - great for a wedding gift!
Love your 9-patches. Your friend will too.
Thanks for the great giveaway! I'm thankful for good health, great quilting friends & so many quilt patterns that I'll never be bored!
Having trouble posting-hoping you can remove 2 of the 3 if they all appear.
Fun! Love those colors too.
Beautiful! Your quilts tell me that you have a great eye for color, and this one is no exception. I think it fits the 'fall" bill nicely. They will l.o.v.e it.
you can't go wrong with a 9 patch....
you couldn't go wrong with a quilt!!
I think your friends will enjoy this quilt. Looks very warm and inviting!
9 patches are always so friendly, no matter what fabric you make them from! These colors definitely say Fall.
Love the colors!
No doubt it will be another fabulous quilt. What a wonderful gift, they are very lucky.
You just can't go wrong with a 9-patch. It will be fun to see one in fall colors!
it's not the colors that I would think to do either but it'sbeauitiful I love it! and so will they!
I love the simplicity of it! Beautiful!
I love the colors. They ARE my colors. what size quilt are you making. I think I might make one like it for my son.
Nice colors. Imagine sashing in an ivory, add a nice wide ivory border, and add some appliqued falling leaves in these colors in 2 opposing corners... Very easy, but would be so effective.
Did you see their invitation - the colors match!! They are going to love it!!
It's looking good.
Simple and fantastic. Clever to use Kona jelly rolls. Love the colours! Your friends are going to love their quilt.
You can never go wrong with the faithful 9-patch. It always works. And your fall colors are perfect.
I love those colors! And solids are a favorite of mine so I think I am really going to like this quilt. Are you sashing it in white?
Beautiful as always! Fall colors may not be your usual...but you are doing a wonderful job!
I finally trimmed up my nine patch tonight and cut some binding strips for it. Yippee it's almost done!
very nice-I love fall colors
It's beautiful. Good job on the colors.
Love your 9 patch quilt - nice colours.
i think the pinky-plums with the yellow-golds really make your version of fall colors fresh again. love it.
wonderful! what size is each of the squares in each nine patch (finished)?
Do you have it sitting on a design wall? It looks so neat and precisly placed - just wondering what you use. And your photo is square on - not angled like what you get when you photograph stuff on the floor... BTW - repeating the above - lovely colours and like your placements.
1) Thankful for celebrating 5 years with my husband
2) thankful for learning how to use coupons! LOL
3) thankful for teaching myself to sew and to have been lucky enough to "stumble" upon blogs such as yours that give clear concise instructions that make the quilting/sewing process so easy and addicting!
Love these nine patches!
love these colors, thanks for always listing what fabric line they're from!
There's something comforting about doing the tried and true though Cheryl did throw a good challenge your way...
