What a fabulous quilt & the circle lined quilting looks great. Sewing circles terrifies me, won't even attempt it. It's really a dumb phobia to have when you've never attempted it. Well actually I sort of tried it once and it was a disaster!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! Ahhhh, I'm truly thankful that you returned to blogging. I wish you would come out to Texas.

Very beautiful! I bought the exact same Farmdale floral Alexander Henry fabric at Joanns last week. I think the color is divine. How did you quilt the concentric circles so accurately? Did you draw the lines first or what? I have never done any type of precision quilting without the aid of painter's tape. That's why I'm wondering...thanks:)

Jo said...

Fabulous. Just love the fabric and colour combinations. A post on the process you use for making your choices would be fascinating, if ever you are minded to do that?

Sarah Craig said...

It's just gorgeous!! I keep seeing circle quilts, and I think I'm just going to have to break down and make one myself.....

Susan K said...

What a beautiful quilt! Great job! I would love it if you could post a tutorial on how to do this. I am a beginner quilter and have NO idea how to sew together curved pieces. But now that I have seen this quilt I MUST learn how!! :)

Tracy said...

Oh GOODNESS! This is incredibly delightful! I have two questions. 1. how do you quilt in a circle like that, as in what is YOUR method, I can think of a few ways to do it...and two what color thread did you use?

DianeY said...

So cute-you have inspired me! I have had the template for probably 2 years! I tried it once with the no pinning method & it didn't come out that great. I'm going to try it again your way!

PunkiePie (Jen) said...

Wow! Awesome!

pratima said...

Such a fun quilt! Your quilting adds movement and makes it so gorgeous! Thank you for an awesome tutorial!

Memaw and Papa said...

I just love this quilt. You not only did a great job sewing but your tutorial was the best written ever. I appreciate when someone takes the time to teach the details, like pressing directions. So many times these things are left out an we don't get as good of product as we could. Yahoo and thanks a bunch!!!!

I made a king-sized quilt from batiks for my son last year, all curved piecing. This year, I'm working on my daughters'. I love doing the curved=piecing, it's my favorite piecework...I love your fabrics, and the quilting. I sent mine out, and was very pleased with the outcome...

Quilt n Queen said...

I'm definitely going to try the curved piecing.....your quilt is beautiful.... luv the colors....(o:

MissesStitches said...

I love this quilt! For your circular quilting, did you just start at the outside of the circle and spiral in and end in the center? Or did you have a different way of doing it?

Pink for me said...

Gorgeous! And I really like a quilt without a border..

Glynis said...

How do you do it? Lovely!
Adding this one to my list! You are a pro at color combining for a refreshing dreamy effect. Just lovely!

I love it! This is the same quilt that I am working on using the same templates. I am using a French General FQ bundle and it is a king size quilt. This one has taken a lot longer than yours tho!!! I love your colors and I am thinking I will have to make one just like it too! LOL

What an amazing and beautiful quilt! I love everything about it. The colours are just gorgeous and the circles on squares effect is simple and cute. I think one of my sons might like a quilt like that...with fewer floral fabric choices of course. :)
