I'm happy to report another finished quilt. :)
This was from my second round of the 9 patch quilt along.
I do love scrappy quilts most of all.
The printed fabric on the back is by Jennifer Paganelli. I love this fabric so much. I'm not sure if I love the white strips on either side of it, but what's done is done.
I talked about the quilting in this post. Since so many of you asked, I should state that I started and stopped the quilting for each flower. That's when the auto cut button on my Juki came in very handy.
I had a hard time deciding what to bind it with, but I fell back on my trusty flea market fancy fabric. I don't know how many quilts I've bound with this fabric. (many!) And it looks good every time. :) I'll be so sad when my stash runs out.
Here's (almost) a full view of the quilt.
It measures about 66" x 90", so a nice twin size.
I'm also happy to report that my motivation for finishing up my WIP's has kicked in to high gear (finally) and I'm having so much fun! I worked on 3 different quilts today. One of them is soooooooooo good! I can't wait to show you.

Whoohoo for getting your WIPs done or worked on!!! I love this quilt! I like the 9 patch but I thought I would get bored with it very fast so I just sat back and watched everyone else! Keep blogging cause you are such an inspiration to me. I started quilting last year and honestly from reading your blog-I thought myself to quilt! So thanks and Happy Holidays! Stay safe!!!
and I can't wait to see what you have to show us!!
Great quilt. I really like the white strips. I'm crazy about Jennifer Paganelli fabrics, so I really love the back, too.
I am glad you have your motivation and so close to Christmas!! I am still trying to finish up on Christmas gifts!!
I really love that quilt. It makes me wish I had time to finish up mine before Christmas. Nevermind, that can happen in 2010. Your version is just stunning though. Thanks for sharing.
The quilting looks SOOOO nice! Kudos to you for breaking away (temporarily) from stippling!
I think you must be the only one still quilting in blogland. Yeah for you!!! Everyone else is too busy with Christmas...(or having their machines cleaned..LOL). Duh! I can't wait to see the quilt you think is good, because if you think it's good, I can just imagine what all of us will think. :)
So fresh and beautiful - somehow white does that - I love your quilt!
Hugs - Lurline♥
Beautiful! I definitely should be sewing instead of reading about sewing. Merry Christmas!
Yea, Amandajean! So glad you got your mojo back! Another lovely 9 patch. The fabric on the back is gorgeous. Can't to see what you reveal next!
Wow! It is beautiful. I love nine patch. Yours is so colourful. I actually like the white strips on the back with the blue, but then I love blue and white together! I'm new to your blog, but I just can't get enough.
Looking forward to more!
Another gorgeous finish.
You are amazing!!!
Scrappy is my favorite too! This one is quite a success.
Go Amanda! Go!! Can't wait to see more of your WIP pile! Love the 9 patch... gorgeous! Your sisters are very lucky!
I have got two more WIPs and I am done :) So exciting! Except I keep adding to the pile!
Merry Merry Christmas! x
It's beautiful CrazyMom! My youngest is home now for the holidays and I'm going to put mine on his bed -- I can't wait to tuck him in tonight LOL. Also can't wait to see your next quilt!
My guess is all of them are sooooooo good.
this 9 patch looks amazing....you always do such a great job
amazing that you could work on 3 quilts. Wasn't this the first day of the holiday break for the kids?
I love seeing all the quilts you're working on!
This quilt is lovely. Well done. It's inspired me to take mine away on holidays to our shack to quilt. I really should get cracking on some of my basted babies! Happy Christmas.
I sewed like a maniac all day while my kids happily played. I thought of you along the way as my scrappy quilt bred more scraps. I didn't know they would multiply like rabbits, but they did. :-)
I'm a beginner quilter! And, am so amazed at how fast you finish them! I'm inspired!
I really like how the quilt looks with the little blocks outlining the edge; it adds such an elegant touch.
You're excited to work on them, and we're so excited to see them. Seeing how productive you're being, gets me super motivated to start hitting the wip's hard after Christmas.
Can you tell us about the Juki and how it helps you with your quilting? I just finished my first quilt using your ragged square quilt tutorial. So needless to say I am a beginner.
Thank you for blogging, you inspire me!!!

i so love your quilts, i REALLY do! :)
So cute. i love the scrappiness of your quilts, your blog has motivated me to be more scrappy :) Thanks so much!
I'm always so impressed with what you do. You are just one amazing person. I think as I scrolled down to make a comment after 28 others, the word "amazing" popped out at me several times. Well that is just what you are.
I have a giveaway going on at my blog, MY VERY FIRST GIVEAWAY. Please come and join the fun

You're on a roll, I can't wait to see either. This one is so great, love it.
Oh I love this. L.o.v.e. love.
So cheerful and cute! I like the scrappy border :)
Can't wait to see the ones you are working on now...
Yet another wonderful quilt from you! How do you manage these large quilts? I find "the sandwich thing" and the quilting to be the most time consuming and the larges job (but then again, I'm a hand quilter). I find it difficult to handle making the sandwich so it's perfect and ready for quilting. How do you do it?
By the way ... have you ever thought about publishing your stuff? I would stand first in line for the book - and I'm guessing I could also sell a lot in my shop (I own a quiltshop in Denmark). Merry Christmas from Helene
Congrats on another finish. It looks wonderful. Can't wait to see what's next!
You make beautiful quilts! I would REALLY like to learn how to quilt. Any suggestions on how to begin?
glad your motovation is back. The binding is cute. nice and bright
Thank you so much for having the nine-patch quilt along! I just finished my top over the weekend. I know you gave the dimensions, but I didn't realize just how big this quilt was until I was putting on the borders! I'm so happy with it! I'll post pictures on my blog after it is quilted (not by me)!
Can't wait to see ... since these are all super I cna't imagine one being better! I can not beleive that in the time I was in the car driving, you posted 3 new quilts!
Another great quilt. It's a simple little pattern, but from what I've seen, it is almost impossible to make a bad quilt from the little 9 patch scrappy blocks. Thanks for sharing the quiltalong with us.
Oh dear. I still haven't quilted mine from the FIRST quilt along.
When I get back from Singapore I'll have to get onto it.
Merry Christmas!
Can we see another close-up of that quilting now that you are done?
Beautiful Quilt! I love the scrappy ones best too. I have a similar quilting flower that's easy and you don't have to stop every time, shows on the pink minkie in my latest post. Good luck on finishing the rest, this time of year sure is busy!
It is so beautiful.
What a gorgeous quilt. I love all your quilts you are very talented and a great inspiration. All the best for Christmas I'm looking forward to seeing more of your quilts. Take care Carol
Amandajean - I finally have my whole list of UFOs on my blog, but I keep adding. You are inspiring me to keep going on my existing list. Mary in MA
I would like time to work on ONE quilt!
I love scrappy quilts too, you have inspired me to do a simple scrappy nine patch like you have! Love your blog too!

Beautiful - as always. Merry Christmas Amanda Jean!
I'm amazed you get as much done with three kids!! Love the 9 patch... It's a fav of mine!! Merry Christmas!!!
I love your quilts and so happy that I found your blog.
it turned out wonderful. I like how the white makes the blue really blue on the back. Makes me want to go work on some of mine! Congratulations!
Looks very nice to me and because of the background...the colorful squares look so nice and colorful
congrats on a great finish!!
Such awesome eye candy! Just a tip, if readers click on the first photo, it enlarges and you can see the detail of the white center squares.
Love this quilt, its absolutely gorgeous!
I can't believe how fast you get your quilts made. Love the colors! You've almost got me inspired to try and make a quilt next year. I have the fabric set aside...I just need to find the time.
This is such a fun pattern for a quilt...and here I am telling you that I'm still hoping to finish up my round one quilt...next week :)
things never change, do they?
very beautiful, congratulation
