finally!!!

After working on it for nearly 3 days straight, I got the top together. (Well, 3 days of my free time, anyway.) I am a little burnt out on the precision piecing now. I need to get back to some random piecing to calm my nerves a little bit. That being said, I LOVE IT! It's better than I had imagined.

There is a border pieced square border on the top, you just can't see it because that is what my little assistants are gripping while I shot the photo. :)

This quilt is so nice! Working with 430 small squares really added a nice touch to the quilt.

I am so amazed at how much quilting you get done in your “Free Time”; you are truly a gifted quilter.

This looks fabulous. I'm working on finishing mine tonight too. I made a baby quilt version by picking my 6 favourite blocks. And, there's no way I'm cutting 430 squares for the border!!! Hopefully it'll be a bit quicker!

Oh how beautiful! And the pieced border... I love it. I wasn't sure that I was going to attempt that part, but now after seeing yours all sewed together, I just may have to.

Awesome. Totally awesome. I'm so impressed with the whole process, and I love the final product (I didn't have the vision throughout the stages to imagine how great the final quilt would be). The little assistant hands are super sweet.

I, only have one row of small blocks on. I thought I'd divide up the cutting and sewing. You've given me the inspiration to keep chugging along.

It looks so pretty! I loved watching it grow from a few blocks to a lovely quilt top.

it's SO fantabulous!

(and I'm SO behind!) Ack - I'm still working my sashing...

I now understand the "WIP" phenomanon. I've just also started a baby quilt for a friend. OY!

very pretty I too am working on sashing- actuallly it's put away till I finish up some other blocks I need done by the end of the month and then it's ago. But I'm not sure I'll use the same borders as I have lots more blocks in my top (30)

I thought the 430 squares was insane, but now I see the light. The quilt is absolutely beautiful. I wish I had quilted along with you. I think I will start now. Never too late!

I really love this blog and am so super inspired from all of your posts. Thanks, you Crazy Momma!!

lovely layout, I am a little scared of the 430 squares, so I choose a border fabric for a broad second border and will make another small one pieced with the scraps, photos coming soon.
Amandajean, your quilt-along was such a joy ! Big Hugs!

I didn't join in because i didn't have the fabric, then I got behind, then I was jealous because the blocks looked so nice, then I stopped being jealous of everyone cutting out 430 little squares and sewing them back together, no I am back to being jealous. I hope everyone who made one of these with you will post pictures because I can't wait to see the different interpretations.
