This was a great week of finishing for me. The biggie was getting my rainbow log cabin quilt finished. (Hurray for meeting a deadline!) I was able to finish this low volume mini, too.
I'm (slowly) sewing up mini samples based on the projects in Sunday Morning Quilts to hang at my LQS. This one is an instant favorite! There is something so special about low volume quilts. Probably because they look instantly vintage....aged, faded, sweet.
I did more of this swirly quilting....what I like to call cinnamon roll quilting. :)
The backing is a sweet dot from Connecting Threads.
(I'm sorry to say that it's now out of print.)
I bound it in a lovely Henna garden print. Just like a cherry on top. :)(I'm sorry to say that it's now out of print.)
It's based on Cheryl's quilt titled Sunday Morning. I had lots of scraps leftover from making my own large version last summer. I love LOVE love low volume! I can not wait to play some more!
Now it's your turn! Please link up your finishes. Thanks for joining me for finish it up Friday!

Love your mini quilt! I keep seeing so many low volume quilts popping up right now, it really makes me want to add some more fabrics to my stash so I can make one too!
Amanda
I just love that quilting!
This is a gorgeous mini. Love those low volume prints :)
This is the quilt that I will be making from the Sunday Morning Quilts. I started collecting low volume fabric since I bought the book and found a few floral prints in local fabric store. I hope a baby quilt to be done and give it to a friend who is expecting a baby.

I really like the look of this mini. I still need to collect a bit more low volume and then I am going to try it!
I've noticed those chickens running all over the web, they look great in this quilt too.
Love the cinnamon roll swirls!
I love your low volume mini, vintagie beautiful! I need to get the courage up to try a low volume. Thanks for giving us a bit of time on Friday mornings before you post, and once again, thank you for sharing your talents.
Yay! You're inspiring me, I have enough leftovers from the first quilt for a baby quilt. I must get on that.
So cute! Low volume quilts always look so pretty!
Beautiful! Fun quilting too!
AmandaJean, Just looking at your quilts is therapy for me. They are the best! I've really been thinking about a low volume quilt, I have enough fabrics, I think, but yours are awesome, they are happy. Mine are just ho hum... :)
Love this mini! And the quilting is so enhancing.
Beautiful!!!! Every time I see one of your projects, I want to drop everything and make it, too :)
I love your sweet mini. I am finishing the binding on a quilt I saw on your blog called Steps to the Altar. Thanks for the inspiration.

So pretty... and I agree with you about the appeal of low volume. I can't wait to try one!
such a calm and soothing quilt. really precious. thanks for the linky party - I spend my weekend browsing around and get so inspired.
I love your swirl stitches =0)
My great aunt made me a log cabin quilt when I was a little girl and she backed it with a brown butterfly print.
It was always my favorite and went with me everywhere. The colors on the front were light cheery and diverse and in my 30's it was damaged due to a fire in an apartment upstairs from us.
Yours reminds me so much of the one she made. So lovely!
Great quilting! I love the binding you used.
Very lovely and I am sooooooo going to try that cinnamon swirl quilting :)
I haven't tried a low volume yet. You've convinced me I need to. Just have to decide on a pattern.
LOVE your low volume mini!! Mine is on the list to be quilted. But it's about 4th down on the list.
I did finish charity quilt #2 but there's no time left in the day for a Friday photo. In spite of being exhausted I'm so glad to have been able to finish it today. I guess I was in a finishing mood for once. :)
Happy Weekend!
Love your little mini, AmandaJean! Thanks for sharing, and for the linky party!!

This is such a pretty quilt. Love your mini version. Enjoy Worldwide Quilting Day!
the mini is lovely. Makes me want to make one, too. The quilting is wonderful. Have to try that someday, too.
I agree - low volumes look vintage and soft. Something you just want to curl up with. I love your little mini! Really enjoy reading your blog - thanks for encouraging us to finish up! Blessings on your day!
Soooo cute!
I just love your mini quilt. I agree with you there is something about low volume quilts that makes them so beautiful.
I order from CT and like their fabrics, too. But don't you wish they had more basic prints like those dots? They had a print called Curlique that I had in beige and brown. I would have ordered it in all colors if they had continued to carry it. Why do they phase things out so fast? N
