I saw
this on
flickr the other day. Oh,
mylanta, how I love it! When I woke up early this morning, I busted out the scraps and I did a little sewing. What a great way to start off the day! I also got the sweetest card from my oldest boy. A happy mother's day, indeed!
I have no idea where I'm going with this quilt, so right now it's all about enjoying the process. I love it!!!!!!!!! Each square is 1.5" cut and finishes at 1".
Happy Mother's Day to all you other mamas out there!

This little quilt is darling. I LOVE the colors and the teeny squares!! I saw this type of quilt done once using fusible webbing to hold the squares together while you sew them. Great idea!
Fun fun fun! Love it
This looks like a fun project to work on with all those pretty little bits of fabric jumbled together
(and happy mother's day!)
Darling block! Happy Mother's Day!
when you do please share the thought; i have found your ideas very inspiring with hundreds of 2 inch squares given to me still sitting in a box!
Wooftie! Those squares are itty bitty (and so cute). :) I absolutely love the blue butterfly (top row, 4 from the right).
Happy Mother's Day, mama!
I love that feeling. A burst of inspiration, a racing heart, and a grin as you dive into choosing fabrics, imagining the possibilities. What a rush! :)
I'm not that crazy! (yet) LOL it looks great
I have always wanted to do a postage stamp quilt! Can't wait to see more about your process. Might just be the inspiration I need to make one too!

Such tiny squares destined for another Crazy Mom stunner!!!
Great to have you back.

Hi there! I just wrapped up my Mother's Day over here! I get to celebrate it around the same date as my daughter's bday!
I made her a baby quilt like this for her 3rd birthday! I used to buy the samples from Keepsake Quilting and used those 1.5" squares to make a little baby quilt.
Have fun!

Hope you had a great Mother's Day!
Oh, it is so cute!
Thanks! I had a great day and glad you also enjoyed your special day!
Beautiful! I had also seen that tutorial on sewmamasew... (like the commenter up there). I'm not nearly as amazing as you are and my squares don't always match up (getting better...) using the cheeter way with interfaceing was great and I felt so accomplished with those matching corners! I love the tiny tiny though. Thanks for more inspiration - so glad you're back! :)
TOO cute!
Happy Mother's Day!

Of course I love it too, and after my walk, I'm going to have a go myself. You surely have a talent to inspire is gals out here in blogland. Great to have you back.
I love the 'winging it', fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants approach. It's working a dream so far.
Can I borrow 'Oh, mylanta'? It made me guffaw.
How perfect! Was just looking for inspiration for what I could do with my most favourite Honey Bun! I may just have found the answer!
I just started a postage stamp quilt, I plan to work on it for many years, because I can't seem to stay out of my scrap bins for other things. But it is fun to work with all those fun little pieces of scraps isn't it!
Have fun with this one.
Glad to have you back sharing your fun quilts and tips.

Oh, I'm so glad you're back! I kept you on the top of my favorites list just in case you came back and now you have. I'm glad I accidentally clicked on it today and found you instead of 6 months from now. That would have made me mad.
I'm excited to see what you have in store for us.
so cute! I love the mini patchwork.
I hope you had a wonderful mother's day!
That's an insane amount of work, but it is going to look great. A lady in quilt club made a postage stamp quilt with blocks that big.
I just did something like this, but I did it with the Thangles triangles, oh boy, 2-1/2 inch stripes and finished 2 inch squares, I have no idea what I am doing with them yet, but hey, I just might get a idea from one of you ladies:)

Beautiful quilt. Simple and sweet. I just came back to your block to check your FAQ (such a great resource) and found you are back. So excited that you are posting again. Welcome back! I am a new quilter and have really enjoyed your blog and learned so much.
I plan to do one of these with the scraps I inherited from my grandmother. But just thinking about it and looking at it overwhelms me.
My friend Deb did a 10,000 piece stamp quilt a few years ago. It's amazing - it shows up in the slide show on her blog. http://debrasvedberg.blogspot.com/
have fun with yours!
i made a baby quilt with 100 9-patch blocks. 1.5" scraps. I love it!
