I flubbed up the NaBloPoMo thing, so I decided to take a few days off...I am feeling quite burnt out when it comes to just about everything right now. Any one else right there with me?
But you know what cheers a girl up?
Fabric in the mail!
Lovely Lera sent me a box FULL of fabric scraps and other goodies. I was grinning from ear to ear when I left the post office. Thank you Lera! I love it all. Again, I feel quite spoiled. :)
That left my husband pondering why on earth I would still need to buy more fabric this weekend. I guess I didn't NEED to. But I got some lovely additions for the stash.
I found the cutest little quilt shop ever. I gasped several times as I was discovering gorgeous bolts of fabric. The store is crammed full of fabric and vintage linens, gifts and antiques, so the shopping experience becomes like a treasure hunt. It was FUN! The owner's taste in fabric is simply wonderful. I was there an hour past closing...it was that good. There was a fabulous quilt sample in the shop, so I will be starting another quilt this week, most likely. It's a good thing that I am almost done with this one. And this one, too.

Oh I need to know where this store is at just in case I venture out to your neck of the woods!
I would be grinning too if I received all that lovely fabric.
Gee. You have the fabric displayed very nicely. It didn't look so nice as I was shoving it into the box! :-)
Yes dear, I'm curious too. Just where were you keeping the store clerk up until all hours of the night? :O)
eck
Do tell! Where was this fabulous shop? I have been drooling over some of the new Moda lines that are either out or coming out soon. I am really loving the Urban Indigo line. It is always fun to fatten the stash a bit!
What a lovely fabrics!

Is there a such thing as too much fabric? I heart the pink one that you are working on. And, I tagged you...only if you have time.
The words ENOUGH and FABRIC don’t fit together in once sentence! I started blogging last May and my little stash has grown with (at least) 600%. It’s great to have a choice when you want to make something, isn’t it? As for the posting thing, it absorbs your time! Love to read your posts and to see what you make though!
Wow!!! Lera is soooo generous!! I bet she got a huge thank-you for that box of treasures!!!!!!
Great fabrics! I love a shop like you described. I'm not into the stashbusting right now. I'm quite content to have it and let it rest on shelves where I can see it until time to be used. Doesn't bother me a bit.
Beautiful fabric!! You're a lucky girl!! Happy fabric shopping at your new 2nd home! :-)
Posting everyday would be too much for me. I thought about joining in, but knew I would end of obsessing and it would take over my life. Not cool. Anyway, nothing like some awesome fabric to chear a girl up!! It always brings a smile to my face! ;)
Ooo, your newly discovered quilt shop sounds lovely! I wish there was some place like that around here!
Those fabrics look delicious!
And I wished I could have a look around your newly discovered shop!
Ugh, I did that NaBloPoMo thing last year and then I swore I would never do it again!
I miss my favorite local quilt shop. Such a pity she retired, that place was certainly a treasure hunt.
I think you're going to have to tell us where that lovely quilt shop is, if you don't, we'll have to hold you down and tickle you til you do!
Love the look of your blog. Geri
Lucky you to receive such a fab gift in the mail! Now, you'll have to tell us where that great little shop is -- you never know when we might be in the neighborhood! ;-)
Well, you know I'm in the burnt out boat with you. Maybe together we can stop it from sinking altogether.
I spent almost 4 hours cutting out little squares and rectangles for a new quilt yesterday. I never time these things so I was shocked at how long it took.
Can't wait to see your new project.
Thank you for doing this block of the week! I'm loving it!! I'm doing mine in Christmas leftovers!!! I should say "planned overs" shouldn't I?! How nice to find a wonderful quilt shop!
Great box of fabrics treats to receive! Definitely the kind of goodness to brighten the day.
Ooooh...sounds like a wonderful fabric store!
I'm realizing you can never have enough fabrics :) Your new fabrics all look lovely.
Maybe we can swap some fabric if I end up doing the quilt-a-long.
I think that I like paper as much as you like fabric.
Is there ever such a thing as too much fabric? :)
I gave up on the blogging every day pretty quick into the month... It was a bit of burn out, plus I can hardly keep up with reading everyone else's blogs when they are blogging every day let alone posting to my own! :)
I'm glad to hear that you get burnt out, too... not that I want you to have too much on your plate, but it makes me feel better that I'm so frazzled now myself!
I'm so happy that you found a quilt shop you love - another important part of getting settled in your new place.
