Welcome to finish it up Friday!
I've been working on this little quilt top all week long. It's got a ton of tiny little pieces in it and it was pieced improvisationally. I usually break up the piecing between several different projects, but this one has a self-imposed deadline, so I had to power though. I was so happy
to put the last several seams in it early this morning.
It's not very big...only 46" x 53", but every one of those seams were totally worth it! (I love low volume.) I'm looking forward to quilting it this weekend.
How about you? Do you have a finish to share? Please link up your finishes and thanks for joining me! Happy Friday to you!
Love the low volume! Thanks for hosting another great linky! Have a great weekend!
I love the wonkiness of it! It looks great!
It's adorable, I am not normally a fan of low-volume but I think this just might convert me :)
Your quilt is lovely! I love the improv blocks!!!

That top is sew-weet! Can hardly wait to see it all quilted up. Have fun with that, Amanda Jean!
In the closeup it looks a little 'busy' for me ... but in the big picture there's plenty of color and contrast. I'm looking forward to seeing the finish.
Love the low volume - congrats on the finish!!
Just beautiful. Full stop.
I love it!!!!!
It is really sweet. Not sure what "low volume" means, but I suspect it may be akin to scrap buster. I did finish my first quilt project ever. It was pretty easy and I learned a lot doing it. I only have to bind it hopefully later today. Binding fabric is still drying. First project was a charm quilt from Seamingly Scrappy. No pics however.
This is so beautiful! Love all of your scraps!
I love low volume quilts too. And the improv piecing is just perfect!
Love the Quilt! You have totally inspired me to make a low volume quilt.
gorgeous! Love low volume and love how you've improved all of it!
Love this low volume improv quilt. I have an overflowing bin of low volume scraps but didn't want to do anything that required tons more cutting on them. This is perfect.
wow, what a stunning quilt!!! And all those tiny pieces, just amazing!!!
Love this one, my favourite one from you is the oatmeal one, but let me tell you that this one comes pretty close
Lovely. I made a low volume slab for the Calgary people quilts that Cheryl is sponsoring. I loved working with those fabrics!
Wow, what a nice selection of low-volume prints! How do you collect them?
I've yet to try a low volume. Every time I see a low volume I love it but I'm in bright and wild mode with my scraps now.
I really like your improv piecing... it looks like such fun!
I love your low volume quilts and this one is no exception. Beautiful.
I wish you had a tutorial on this one! So beautiful!
Very nice...I have been pulling fabrics for LV kwilt!
Very cute prints in this quilt...
I love low volume but have to say that some of that piecing is TINY. You must have a serious amount of patience!!
Love it with all the small pieces!
Thank you Amanda for hosting the linky party.
Just love low volume quilt. Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing. Marie
I've never tried a low volume quilt...love yours! Have a great weekend, Amanda Jean.
Lovely quilt! Please share it with us again when it is quilted! :)
Beautiful prints in this quilt top!
I still remember having to convince you that the low volume quilt in the book was a good idea! It looks great, always so pretty.
I love this quilt! I am coming from Minnesota to attend Camp StitchALot this coming weekend and am SO excited for your class! I think this is what I would like to spend the extra sewing time on. Guess I best gather up what low volume stash I have- which probably isn't that much! Just how large of a variety would you suggest?
I too love the low volume. It is fun to look at all of the different fabrics in it. Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you enjoy quilting it.
This is awesome, love it!
Really like the variety of low volume hues in this quilt!
I see what you meant such tiny pieces in this and so much harder to do, this is a great quilt, very inspiring.
Your low volume quilt is so sweet and pretty!
I'm not really sure what low volume means.... is it low color? lack of contrast? only light color fabrics with white back grounds?
Maybe you can do a blog post about what it all means.
Love your spiral quilting, I always wondered how you pulled it off :0) what do you do when you get to the edges?
How do I SELECT low light fabrics -say using reds, gray, blacks or aren't these low LIGHT to start??
Help!! I like the look but don't know how to select!!!!!
Gah!!! LOVE me some low volume!!!
I love this low volume look! Thanks for sharing your finish!!!
Oh, what a delicat and beautiful top. Looking forward to see the finished quilt.
Have a nice weekend.
