The kids and I went on a walk today...
...I took lots of photos...
(the skies are brilliant blue here, too, Susan.)
...I love everything about fall....
...we enjoyed the beautiful weather...
...and collected a stroller basket full of leaves and pine cones.
Now, I need to figure out how to knit (in the round) and felt a bowl to hold the pine cones. I'm wondering what to do with all my pressed leaves. (this is the second batch)
The kids and I also got to have lunch with my husband.
I got some sewing time in.
I played with the kids.
It's been a good day.

Glad you had a good day, though I have to say that the rainy days end up with things for me to laugh at. It was a beautiful day here...so we had a fire drill and then I helped with AWANA trash pick up.
How could you have a bad day with a sky that blue? Our leaves aren't quite falling yet, but I am looking forward to collecting some soon!
Autumn days with clear blue skies are the best! Unfortunately they are most of the times grey and cloudy.

Wow, you guys have lost a leaves already. We are still in the thick of summer here.
Since you are a quilter, you could make a patchwork bowl. I made a fabric bowl in the spring, I am pretty sure I just googled fabric bowl and found easy directions. (Although you might be able to work it out on your own without the pattern, I don't remember it being crazy hard.)
What beautiful pictures. We are just now starting to get a hint of color in our leaves and are just seeing the first ones fall. I love this time of year!

I could probably help you if you'd be willing to crochet in the round. That works for felting too.

sounds like a perfect day. i love those clear and bright autumn skies. with your parcel tray full of leaves, you (or the kids) could make a collage or mobile, maybe?
