This quilt ate a LOT of scraps. And a lot of thread! The pineapple blocks (tutorial here) are time intensive, but are so worth it! That one mistake block that is on point (right hand side, second from the bottom) is my favorite. Of course, right?
I quilted it with Aurifil thread in an all over loop-de-loop pattern, which disappears into the patchwork. I love that!
I pieced the back from my stash. It's one of my favorite pieced backs to date! A few of those fabrics were going to be quilted grocery bags, but they work well as part of a quilt back quite nicely instead.
The quilt measures 62" x 76". And this is scrap project #101/101!!!
Thanks so much to all of you who cheered me on in my 101 scrap project challenge, which I started back in July 2013. A year and a half for 101 scrap projects isn't too bad! It was wonderful to have you along for the ride. Thanks for reading and supporting me in my quilting efforts this year. It means an awful lot to me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I hope you have a safe and happy New Year's Eve!

Always nice to get a project done to finish the year.
I love your pineapples!! the last one I made drove me crazy and I finished at a wall hanging - 6 inch blocks - next time I will go for a big 12 or 14 inch block - maybe bigger - I do love the way they look
Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous AmandaJean. I can't believe you managed to make 101 scrappy projects in such a short time, you certainly are a scrap machine :)
I wish you and your family a happy and successful new year.

I love this quilt with your wonderful scraps! It's a great collection of fun fabric. Also love that single stand out block and what it does for the quilt--and the imagination of everyone who will ever see it!
Awesome quilt!
I love the pieced back too! And I remember a bunch of those toys that made lasting impressions on our family too. Lovely quilt.

I love a scrappy quilt. This one is out of this world. AND, the back is to die for! I love to see fabrics used up and "out of the house" (even if the quilt ends up on the couch)!!! Thanks so much for sharing. I've saved the pineapple tut and hope to make my own version sometime soon.
Congratulations! What dedication to your goal!
I love seeing all the scrap projects. Makes me happy to save little pieces and fit them in to just the right places later. Hope to still see scrap projects. Glade you reached your goal.
Happy New Year,Teresa

I absolutely LOVE scrappy pineapple quilts! I think this one is the best one I've ever seen! Scrappy pineapple may just be my all time favorite quilt!!! I've made many miniature pineapple quilts over the years and have decided to make a large one (or two) this year!

I appreciate you taking the time to connect with me and others. Have a Healthy and Happy New Year!
Oh what a fabulous project to end with! I love it; I love the back as well as the front (those fabrics on the back are beautiful!). I must say, I have not yet been tempted to try pineapple blocks because they are time intensive, but I am sure that I will one day because of you!! That reminds me, I have a blog post I must do. It will be entitled 'Ode to Amanda Jean'!
Amazing, lovely and wonderful!
what an amazing quilt, I so admire those who can make pineapple blocks, I did one on a sampler quilt and said never again!

This is a great way to end your scrap challenge, but I really hope you keep posting your scrap projects. Your work is so inspirational!!
You inspire me to be scrappier - a look I just love, but have trouble going for. Maybe this year will be my year to get out of my box.
That quilt is spectacular! So beautiful. I love looking at your site just to see what new and pretty projects you have going on. Thanks for sharing all that you do and happy new year to you and your family!!
It's a great quilt and I wish you a happy 2015!
Fab quilt - and I really love the back too! Happy new Year from England!
How gorgeous! Can't wait to see how you challenge yourself next. What an inspiration!
Ooh, your Plenty of Pineapples is GORGEOUS! That just makes me feel all the more motivated to keep making my own pineapple log cabin blocks. I'm aiming for California King size and I'll need 36 giant blocks, of which only 12 are finished. But all of my blocks are like your "mistake" block. I think it's cool that you have one block different like that. Congratulations on a beautiful finish and Happy New Year!
Thank you for showing all your beautiful work. Your blog is one of my favorites! Beautiful quilts, pictures and words. Happy New Year!
Congratulations on completing your scrap challenge! I enjoyed following you on your journey.
Congratulations on reaching your 101 goal, and what a way to go out! That pineapple quilt is Absolutely AMAZING!! I've so enjoyed following your scrappy projects, can't wait to see what ideas you come up with next. Happy New Year! :)

Fabulous ending to your scrap challenge. I have really enjoyed all the scrap projects and hope you continue to show more. Happy New Year.
Such a fun little story about the name. I love tying in that type of family history. Congrats on the 101 scrap completion.
Wow! What an accomplishment. Your deserve the highest quilting award. Your energy, love and devotion for quilting is very inspiring. Thanks for the great blog and ideas.
Happy New Year.
Absolutely phenomenal quilt! That little ditty must have rolled through your brain too many times (like It's a Small World!) but makes a great name for a quilt! You must be able to do all kinds of gymnastics in that great big empty space where all those scraps used to be :)
Congratulations on finishing all your scrap projects!!! They have been an amazing inspiration..
I don't comment often, but I love, love, love your blog! 101 scrap projects...amazing. :) Happy, Happy New Year! *hugs*
I love this quilt--a perfect finish for your scrap project. Thank you for all of your inspiration this year! I have noticed though that I use up my scraps, I keep making more so it really is a neverending process.
I love this quilt!!! It is a great way to finish off your challenge.
What a great scrap buster, love it!!
This is so gorgeous and inspiring! I love the one odd block, and I can hardly believe that you started the scrap project 1.5 years ago. It does not feel like it's been that long at all! Great work! :)
This is great! Love how bright and colorful it is with the scraps. And congrats on your 101st project!
Happy New Year!
I love the one on point! This is such a pretty quilt.
YAY YippeKiYay!!!! Congratulations CrazyMom -- what fun it's been to watch your scrap project! You're Amazing!!!
Happy new year and congratulations on the final finish. I love your choices for low volumes, I have a really hard time with it but you have such a wonderful eye for combining these scraps!
Well done Amanda Jean. And a fantastic effort for 101 scrap projects. I've loved every minute, seeing your scrappy ideas come to life in fabric. I too share your love of scraps and just can't bear throwing them away. I hope you turn 101 scrap project challenge into a book! It would be a best seller! Theresa
I love that quilt! And gratz on completing the challenge!!
Yay for scrap project 101!!! This one is spectacular!!! Congratulations on meeting your goal and so quickly too.
Congrats!I knew you would finish with a bang!! This is one of my favorites of all your quilts! I really want to try your non-paper pieced method.
I agree with the comment I read above that suggested you should make your 101 scrappy projects into a book. How fun would that be!!
I love how you included your "mistake" block. It adds a special interest and looks "on purpose" to me. I love it as I love all of your quilts! What a way to finish 2014 :)
This is probably my all-time favorite quilt that you have ever made. I just love it!!
This a beautiful quote! I love the name to, it makes me think of Hawaii which is fitting for the colors you used! I wish I was better at quilting. I have done small, square piece quilts, but nothing like this! I hope to get here some day! http://www.sewspecialmaui.net/gallery
Wow, this is totally amazing. And making me rethink my stance on pineapple quilts. ;)
The song I've got playing in my head right now is "Scrapping Queen" to the tune of "Dancing Queen"! I remember when you started that challenge....you really knocked that out! Congratulations and I love your final quilt;;;Perfect!
