Thanks to a little bit of focus and a lot of perseverance, I finished piecing the third version of my candy coated quilt.
I love this pattern because it EATS fabric scraps! (That's a good thing!)
Lots and lots of strings.
Lots and LOTS of thread.
Lots and lots of color. Just the way I like it!
(Shoot even the back is pretty!)
Pattern is Candy Coated, found in Sunday Morning Quilts.
(It also happens to be the one featured on the cover.)
It measures 65" x 88"....so a lovely twin size quilt.
In case you are wondering, I haven't run out of scraps yet!

Wow!! Looks like this is going on my bucket list. I need something to tame my scraps!
The change of colours makes a great difference, from the pink on the book to this colourful version. I must say I love both!
Amazing how different it looks in a bright palette. I love it!

a person as creative as you will never run out of scraps. This is so lovely
Scraps never go away...it seems like the more you use them, the more they multiply!

I'm definitely going to try and make this. Yours is completely beautiful. So happy, too. :)
I bought your book for the Candy Coated quilt on the cover, and this version is just as beautiful! So bright and cheery, I'm totally lovin' it. Congrats on finishing the top!
That is such a fun quilt top. If I made it, my scraps would be gone. Your scraps must multiply when you aren't looking. ;)
Beautiful. Bright and fun. Another wonderful example of scrap management.
Yes, the back is beautiful, so glad you took a shot of that! :) You are creative even in your photography! Nice quilt. So glad your book is in my sewing room library. Got to get to those quilts some day!

So pretty and springy! Scraps rule, especially when you work your magic with them!
Amanda Jean, do you worry about the grain of the fabric when piecing with your scraps? Thanks!
Love that pattern! I plan to make another soon.
Pretty and fresh! Great finish. This is great for scraps, and would make a good starter and ender project, too.

I'm thinking you will never run out of scraps, girl. You'll just keep making more (if they ever stop multiplying on their own)! This turned out great!

So your last comment - you aren't out of scraps yet.... do you ever think there will be an end to them? Personally I think my scraps procreate in the night... ;-)
I love the strings quilt. My pile has turned into 3 large boxes. I really need to get them turned into something soon.
Oh, I must do this! Thanks for sharing...so inspiring!
Awesome quilt! Love that it uses your scraps, and is so pretty also! :)
Slow down!
And that reminds me, I need to pick up mine from where it has been on loan in a store...
This quilt looks like your logo border on your web page! Just so fresh, and colorful, and happy!
I must say I adore your book. It's the only crafty book I own that is getting tattered from so much use. And the Candy-Coated pattern is one of my favorites! I'm itching to make one (or 10!) as soon as I finish up my current projects.
