Today we are replacing a bathroom floor.
(Good grief! Why couldn't we do this for us?)
We are also taking out the crumbling brick on our front step and replacing it.
With all the work ahead of us, I decided to go all out and make prime rib.
This is what memories are made of! :)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

We joke at our house that when the kitchen cabinets get finished, we move (we've moved several times!)...Happy Thanksgiving...the prime rib looks amazing!!!
We have that same linoleum as your old one! I hate it. I wish we could get rid of it, but we rent. Good luck with your projects, and happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to the Nybergs! Hope you have a fantastic day!
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. No projects there....BUT the men in my life (husband and sons) are helping clean and prep the house for company this evening. Haha, it feels like a project!
And prime rib...yum!
Ha, ha, we moved to our new home two years ago, and ended up renting our old home this spring. Boy did it need a lot of work. My hubby said the same thing, why didn't we do it while we were still living there ;-) Nevertheless, have a Happy Thanksgiving, and enjoy your PRIME!!
Happy Thanksgiving! I think most people wind up leaving all the 'fixing up' to do until they are ready to sell the house - I know we've done it twice now.
Good luck with your flooring and the rest of your renos!
I'll agree on the prime rib, incentive to get the work done! Happy thanksgiving.
Yes, that is always the way. We never make things as nice for ourselves as we do for others.
Thanksgiving is a great day to do whatever you want. Home repairs included.
I loved seeing the prime rib. Now I know we aren't the only family not having turkey today. We are Barbecuing steaks.
I enjoy reading your blog.
Well, we had lasagna. :-) Hope you had a great day, even if it wasn't restful!
Isn't that frustrating? I made a deal with myself and said I don't want to fix things up for the next people who will live here, I want to do it for me!
Thank you for purchasing an American made flooring!! I worked at ARmstrong forr 23 years.

Happy thanksgiving! I'm thankful that you are my friend.
What a beautiful roast-mmmmm good eating there. Renos are a hoot no matter when they get done but a holiday job adds a special charmI think. I was never so happy as when we did the kitchen and bathroom floors. All I wanted to know was what had taken us so long !~! Happy Weekend, enjoy the leftovers.
goodness, you had a busy day. hope the work all went to plan. Dinner looks delicious.
Wow - nothing like saving it all for a holiday weekend! You're amazing! Prime rib....oh my!
We are getting ready to move too...a little easier for me with no kids at home but I do try to keep my eye on the prize of the new home. I try not to make DH miserable with my anxiety about getting everything done by having a few quiet moments at my machine ( just like you did) when I can squeeze them in. ( this too shall pass :0) right? )
Happy Sewing
If you had come to the farm, you might have gotten a little rest. :)
I moved in with my (now) husband 20 years ago, it was his home 10 years before that. We haven't moved but we've built on,and built upwards. Plus he always thinks we have to do major reno's when his M-I-L is coming from the UK for a visit. (smiling)
i've done this type of work several times in our moves and every time I think - why do we wait till we need to sell our house? why don't we do it while we live in the house so we can enjoy it more?
