I finished the triangle pillow! And I LOVE IT! The tutorial for the triangle blocks is here. The inspiration for the pillow is here.
I turned my dresden into a pillow, too. I had to add some patchwork to two of the sides to make it bigger. And then I added a few strips to the two remaining sides to make it (almost) square...and then I had to stop myself. :) I love how they BOTH turned out. I think I need to make a few more!

Hello.... is very ..very beatiful...kiss
How do you have room for all those pillows? Lovely, both of 'em!
Both of your pillows are really cute. I am going to make a few pillows in May for the first time :) .
drooling and wanting those pillows;)
You hit a home run with these Amanda Jean:)
Beautiful pillows! I'm going to try to make one. Thanks for the tutorial.
Love the triangle pillow! I wonder how it would look in coordinating fabrics to match decor? But I guess that would defeat the purpose of it being made from scraps! lol
wow, that triangle pillow if fabulous. I love it. I also love that you stopped at just a pillow. Sometimes I feel like I need to turn everything into a quilt. A pillow is so fun to have around!
after you mentioned that penny had made a similar design, I totally remembered it, she is so talented.
So colorful - perfect for Spring!

Love them. The triangle one is very inspiring! There may yet be hope for my scraps.
both are lovely!!!!!
They are both great!
I love it.
Thanks for the tutorial.

Okay, you're starting. Little by little you're getting to smaller projects and loving it. So, when are you going to join the doll swap?
I love your dresden. Could you do a tutorial on how to make them. I have a quilt that I want to add some of these to, but it is intimidating to me. You are so amazing that I think I could follow your instructions. I am so happy you didn't quit blogging for long. Love your blog! ;)
Those triangles have been haunting me in my sleep. I need to make them. Thanks for sharing! I really really do love them!
Those sure turned out lovely!
Oh, well, are these pillow tops just sooo feminine !
So loverly.
hugs,
Gerry
That triangle pillow is wonderful! Just perfect for those little scraps!
These pillows are awesome! I think my favorite is the triangle one, I am going to have to make one soon.
Exquisite!
Beautiful pillows, especially the triangles. Great way to use up some scraps.
Oh, I love both of those! The little tiny piecing gets me every time, it looks great on the pillow!
I like the fabrics best in the dresden plates one, but I love those triangles! When you did the tutorial I thought it was too time-consuming. But I will have to try now! =) (Would you recommend paper-piecing with fabric so you don't have to tear it out?
I love both pillows, but I especially love the triangles! I just might have to dive into that myself. :)
really cute!
Those are really adorable...
I wish I had some of whatever it is that gets you so motivated and keeps you that way til the finish. Your pillows are fantastic.
Are they just covers or are they sewn closed?
Beautiful. I think I like the triangle one best only because it is a genius use of scraps. Kudos to you!
I love your pillows! They are just gorgeous. I really want to try something with the triangles... and I will someday; it's just a matter of time.
Oh yea, love em! Such a cool way to use scraps. I'm still looking forward to trying some of those triangles with my snippets bin. Love the way you bordered your dresden with the natural color and strips. I bet these bring wonderful splashes of color to your rooms!
Nice......thanks for the continued great inspirations :0)
Happy Sewing and Happy Easter
The triangle pillow is gorgeous!
So very pretty. I have the perfect chair for a dresden pillow. But the triangles look like so much fun to make. Hmmm....
Amanda Jean!!!! I love this post! I adore your pillows. I often stop by your blog to get inspired. Thank you for taking the time to blog about your creations!

Adorable!
FAB-U-LOUS!! Luv your pillows and thank you so much for your triangle tutorial. If I stare at that pillow long enough do you think it'll materialise in my house? No! Guess I'd better make my own then. Thanks again....
Ooooohh!! Those are too cute..love the colors!
Love both these pillows and thanks for the tutorial. I'm currently making several pillows for my living room...will add this to the mix.
I love your triangle pillow! It's so pretty.
I once made quilt square pillows to sell in a craft shop. No one bought them. I think you have to charge so much for them, which includes your materials as well as your time, that the price is prohibitive to most people. BUT we quilters can make and enjoy them! Yours are pretty.
Your scrappy triangular pillow is wonderful! Love it!
The pillows look great. I read the tutorial on the triangles and I am going to have to try them. So many projects, so little time.
Love it!
Both of your pillows are beautiful! You did a great job!
I love "scrap" anything...those little triangles put together have such an impact. Fun stuff!
Your pillow is absolutely beautiful. You did such a wonderful job. Thanks for the tutorial. Hugs
I love your triangle pillow!
Wowee!! That is a stunning pillow, thanks for sharing the link to the tutorial. This will be added to my ever growing list of "to-dos" :)
Cheers!

What a beautiful job....like everything else you've posted on here! :)
i should have peeled myself away from the machine to take a closer look at your lovely pillows. the photos are pretty, but they can't quite do justice to your beautiful quilting
Great use of your little triangles! The Dresden pillow top is adorable too.
Love the strippy triangles!!
gorgeous work mama!
Love them both!!!
Your triangles are totally fabulous!! LOVE both your beautiful pillows!!
beautiful!!!
Little triangles are in my future. love anything that uses scraps.
I love that dresden pillow! I just wanted you to know I left you an award on my blog, if you want to play along! :)Happy Easter! And thanks for all the great ideas!
You are one crazy mom! All those triangles! I do like your version better than your inspiration. Better colors? Or is it that your tris are all going in one direction and it's easier on the eye? Whatever the reason, Good Job! I want to try that.
It just makes me happy to look at the triangle one!
Oh this is just so wonderful! Awesome!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the triangles. I've been making some this weekend and they ARE addictive! Thanks for the tutorial....these are FUN!
Lovely!
The triangle pillow is FANTASTIC!! Now I'm inspired to make a quilt (with bigger triangles!). Your tutorial is great too.
