I love this quilt. It really is beautiful. I was trying to find a post where you talk about washing your quilts. I know you don't prewash your quilts, so I was wondering do you do anything special when you wash them? Do you add anything to the water, or do you just wash in cold water and dry on low heat? I'm just curious. Love your blog!
You easily have another one in you - maybe just make 9 patches here & there instead of for "x" number of days straight. Soon enough you will have enough! Or maybe just you wait until you scrap bin runneth over!
Aw, come on, you can do it! I just think there would be something so "right" about you and each of your sisters having one of these. I agree with The Calico Cat above. Wait a while, don't put pressure on yourself, step away from the 9-patch for a bit . . . and then do one more.
Don'tcha think the simplest old traditional blocks, like the 9-patch, make the most fantastic quilts? Love this one. Good job!
it's beautiful! i can completely understand not wanting to do another. i get burned out on a design after only one quilt (and mine are never are large as yours).
Hey if you want to make a swap and get your others ones done I'm sure you will have a lot of us would be interested. That is in the new year. I know I would love to. Great job to have one for each sister would be wonderful but lots and lots of work. Good luck
Very very nice!!! And even nicer that they're all (well, almost) made from scraps :) If you do go for the third, take your time with it and maybe it won't seem so painful hehe
OK, what happened to the block that you thought was very ugly (yellow and green)? I cannot find it in your quilt . . . The quilt is really striking and thanks for the IKEA tip - that's on my list for my next visit there!
I love all your work, I was inspired by your white sashing and just finished a top with white sashing, but these were stars. I am addicted to your blog and enjoy seeing all you do. I don't know how you make the quilts so fast.
It soooooo doesn't look like a quilt made of scraps. It's gorgeous! I doubt I would have any energy for another after that many nine patches.... Luckily, my sister likes to quilt and can make her own. :-)
Stunning! I love how the white sashing and border ties it all together. It seems so cheery! Still have my little stack of 9 patches to work on here and there.
My very first thought was; Awe come on you can make it again. But I can completely understand wanting to move on to something new. Save the scraps maybe in a few months you'll feel differently. It's very nice. I'm still working on my string quilt. My 90 square foot quilt. It's going to be amazing. I should finish it this week and just decided today how I will back it. Take care. Look forward to see what you do next. Hey I don't know if you read all your comments but if you know anyone interested in participating in a block party I have a few spots left. Thanks
gah I've got only one sister and I don't think I have it in me to commit to such a large project even once. Lovely quilt, can't wait to see it all quilted.
All I can say is this: I am in awe and that quilt is gorgeous. I have a thing for scrappy quilts....don't like them to look to fussy and a nine-patch is a classic scrappy look...hope to do one myself someday and hope it turns out half as well as yours! XOXO Joni
Beautiful! You can do amazing things with scraps....and wow, I can't believe you still have scraps. you've made quite a few quilts with scraps already.
Ha! Looks like you booted Mr. Yellow and Green! I LOVE this quilt! I can't wait to finish mine. That was my plan for this week, but then 6 monkeys jumped on my back and now I'm in the fight of my life to get them OFF. Then, that quilt is MINE! Thanks, as always for your fantastic inspiration!
I love it. And I agree with your other blog readers you are an amazing inspiration. If you do a round 3 or a swap consider me in. I was hoping to join for round 2 but had to many other projects going on. I am so glad that you share what you are doing. As a new quilter I love your blog and the inspiration I get from it.

It's awesome!
Love it! I keep planning to make one for myself - if you do round three I'm in!

That's a great quilt! I love it!
I love all of your quilts! Can I ask you a silly question...what is sashing? Is it all of the white parts around each block?
Thanks!
Great use of scraps. That's what its all about.
It's really pretty!!
Very cool! I did not keep up, yeah YOU for your ability to stick to it!
I still plan on working on mine...
This quilt looks great in all versions. I never get tired of looking at them.
Beautiful as always :)
love it! and its really cool that it is all from your stash/scraps. I'm hoping to get going on a red & white one soon...
it looks great!
doing 3 would be quite ambitious. i'm contemplating a second, but am not sure if i have that in me. :)
Ohhhh, pretty! I totally love scrap quilts.

that's too bad because they've both turned out so fabulously!
You are one amazine woman! Lovely quilt!!!
Beautiful quilt - great use of scraps and I love your outer border.
beautiful quilt! hope I finish my 9 patch someday! Wonder what you have up your sleeve next?
That's so beautiful!
By the way; I got a couple of Dvala sheets from IKEA the other day when we were shopping for daughter's new apartement; now they just need washing.
It's beautiful! I think scrappy quilts with white are just about my favorite:)
This is fabulous. What a great job.

I really like it!
Just wait a bit and think about another one.
That quilt is so beautiful! I wish I was one of your sisters!! teehee!! :-) Good job!

Both of the quilts are fabulous. I am always amazed how much you get done. You are a better user of your time that I am.

I adore the row of squares between the sashing and the big squares. SO adorable and the perfect finishing touch! Keep up the beautiful work! :-)
Way to make the girls who haven't finished ONE feel bad ; )
It looks fab!
I still need to finish my first one, LOL!
Amanda Jean, it's beautiful!
Is this one for you or your other sister?
I'm still plugging along on my first one...
How about you ask all the people who love your blog to make you a 9-patch for your 3rd installment. I'll be the first to send one your way!! :)
It's beautiful! I love that scrappy border!

Bet you are glad to be done with that top. :)
Wow! So pretty!

I can't believe you. I have never know a quilter real well, but you are one amazing woman.

I just love it! Isn't it funny when you make a quilt that you really enjoy, you have to make more. Kind of like potato chips, you can't have just one.
I'm amazed you got through two! Well done you crazy mom quilter you!
I love it...it is going to be beautiful. Love the borders...
Let's do pinwheels next -- two-color pinwheels and sashed in white again the same way!
congrats on the finish! :)
What do you need if you want to make it bigger? (Like full bed size?)
gah I've got only one sister and I don't think I have it in me to commit to such a large project even once. Lovely quilt, can't wait to see it all quilted.
gorgeous!!
I LOVE your quilt!

I love it. What an awesome way to use scraps.
it turned out absolutely great! i'm sure you have another one in you, just not today.
Looks nice! Did you piece the back also? Would like to see a photo! I'm into the stash/scrap reduction mode- this one's perfect!
Love this again! The simplicity and complexity are great!!
No pressure - make what you love :)
It looks great!!! Take a break from it and maybe you will want to start later. Whatever you do next, I am sure it will be amazing!!!! A-
go on, you can do it - it looks terrific. Still haven't got mine together.
so fortunate to be your sister ;)
Gorgeous! And, I know you can do one more. Like an earlier commenter said, just do a few 9 patches here and there and pretty soon you'll have enough.
It's great! Perhaps afer you have a bit of a breather you will be able to go back to it and do another. I love the polka dot blocks.
Beautiful! You can do amazing things with scraps....and wow, I can't believe you still have scraps. you've made quite a few quilts with scraps already.
Beautiful!! I agree, where is that 'questionable' green nine-patch? ...
I probably would have left it out too ;)
Will you PLEASE do a tutorial for those adorable tars with the Ikea sheet?
I love scrap quilts & yours are just beautiful!! Thank you!!
amazing!! it looks beautiful as all your quilts do.
It looks wonderful, as all of your quilts do!

Another great job!
LOVE IT!

wow! another beauty!!
This looks wonderful, still have to finish mine. Craft fairs and bake sales are getting in the way.
Keep up the good work.
It's fantastic! I think I have, um, 12 or 13 of my nine-patches done, so I can't say I exactly followed this quilt-a-long...
Gorgeous!!
The last thing I need right now is another project, but you are seriously tempting me. VERY cute.
It's fabulous! Love the scrappy-goodness with white!!
stunning! of course! do another quilt along and then all of a sudden you might just have another one!
It's wonderful ... but I can't imagine you'd want to do another one for several years! It looks like so much work. Beautifully done, though!
I love it! I am so inspired to get into all my scraps and do something like this!
