free fabric

Happy Monday! I feel like giving away some free fabric today-just because. :) If you would like to win these 4 fat quarters, all you need to do is leave me a comment letting me know where you are from and what you are doing today. I'll give you an example. (This idea is totally stolen/inspired by the adorable Camille. I so want her chair, by the way. Swoon!!!)

My name is AmandaJean and I live in Wisconsin. Today I am doing laundry and I am working on my Swell quilt. I am making chicken wild rice for dinner in my crock pot so I have more time to sew!

In your comment, please make sure there is a way for me to contact you in the event that I draw your name. Thanks!

edit: the contest is now closed.

My name is Kim and I live in California. Today I am trying to clean out my garage to make room for a dresser that I can use to organize my fabric stash. I really wish Peter Walsh was here to help me! Of course he probably wouldn't approve of a dresser full of fabric so scratch that! The sun is shining here so I hoping to convince my husband to BBQ for dinner!

Hi! Free fabric, count me in! I'm Ashley and I live in Vermont. I'm working today, but thinking about quilting (and consequently my work may be suffering!). Tonight we're going suit shopping so that my husband-to-be has something to wear for our upcoming wedding!

Hi my name is Kristine and I live in snowy Vermont. I work as a Speech teacher at our local high school. I have spent the day helping our Life Skills kids put together their science fair presentations and working in the preschool. I will then take my son to a basketball game to work the concession stand for a fundraiser. And then I put on my taxi hat and pick and drop off my other children, when all I really want to do is QUILT!!!!!! Your fabric is so happy and cheery. It was so nice to see it all just sitting there bright and sunny.

Thanks for this kind treat!

My name is Nicole and at present, I am soaking up a bit of warmth in San Antonio, Texas while my babies sleep. The to tackle list screams laundry, a bit of housework, reading stories and chasing my 2 year old outside in the sunshine! Unfortunately, that leaves little time for my piles of sewing projects, but there's always tomorrow, right?

My name is Mandy, and I live in upstate NY on the edge of the Adirondacks and both I and my toddler have been battling some sort of intestinal horror for the last. four. days. Our doc says it should run its course in seven to ten, so I guess that's only another 3-6 days to go, hurrah for us. I want to bang my head against a wall!

OK, enough moping. Thanks for posting these fabrics--love the combo! Definitely a cheerful thing to look at, thanks!

Hi! I'm Carmutxa, I'm from Barcelona, Spain.
When I've arrived home with the kids I've made dinner: rice for kids, a salad for us.
And now I'm looking the blogs I like more and updating mine. In a while I'll go on crocheting a bear for my little one.
I want to learn how to make a quilt, but it's a big challange for me at the moment, I think I shall begin with a very little on.

My name is emmalei & I am looking at my unfinished quilt feeling self pity because I just started quilting and I just broke my hand (cast comes off in 5 more weeks). I am determined to get the cast under the machine once the swelling relaxes a little. In a few hours I will be waiting by the mailbox to see if some fabric I ordered has arrived :)

Love your site...found it through thimble blossoms :)

I'm Frogdancer and today I'll be switching off the computer, running around the hose like a crazy woman getting myself and my boys off to school/work.

I'll teach English all day (with one period off) and then I'll pop home, grab my oldest son and go suit shopping for his Formal (like your Prom.) Come home, go through my cupboards and put together some things for my friend and her family who have lost everything but the clothes on their backs in the fires we've been having here, cook dinner, watch tv, do some essay marking and go to bed.
*sigh* Not much sewing gets done through the week here!

oooh, how fun! My name is Anne Weaver and I'm in Little Rock, Arkansas. Today while my daughter is at school, I'm actively avoiding grading papers for the online classes I teach. After I pick her up, I'll see if she's up for helping sew the borders on to the dolly quilt she's making. For dinner tonight, I have no idea. I went to the grocery today, so I'm more just revelling in the fact that there's actually food in the house.

Holy Cow ~ 510 comments already??? Hi, my name is Jessica, from Poulsbo, WA and today I planned to sew some, but this head cold has given me too much of a headache. So, I'm playing on the computer and later I'll go watch my two little boys at their hockey lessons (where I'll be knitting). I'm making Chicken Ella Mae for dinner. I'm also *this close* to having my husband talked into buying me a sewing machine just like yours!!! :)

Hello AmandaJean

My name is Mandy, and I live in the Blue Mountains, 2hrs west of Sydney, NSW, Australia.
Today we are in glorious drizzly cloud. I've 5 mins left of blog time before I clear the decks to start sewing some promised bags.
Aqua and Red, my absolute fav combo. In fact, I've just finished a baby quilt, for my Sister's new baby girl, using those colours and Heather Bailey's Pop Garden.
Thank you for continuing your oh so inspiring blog.

Then we headed to eat (where I had to feed him in a restaurant) and then finished up at Half Price Books and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Oh, Babies R Us was actually our last stop. We were mostly using gift cards! Now we'll make dinner and watch the Bachelor while I finish doing most of the top of his quilt (my first).
