free fabric

Happy Monday! I feel like giving away some free fabric today-just because. :) If you would like to win these 4 fat quarters, all you need to do is leave me a comment letting me know where you are from and what you are doing today. I'll give you an example. (This idea is totally stolen/inspired by the adorable Camille. I so want her chair, by the way. Swoon!!!)

My name is AmandaJean and I live in Wisconsin. Today I am doing laundry and I am working on my Swell quilt. I am making chicken wild rice for dinner in my crock pot so I have more time to sew!

In your comment, please make sure there is a way for me to contact you in the event that I draw your name. Thanks!

edit: the contest is now closed.

Hi! I'm Kristine. I am in northeastern GA enjoying some (finally) warmer weather. I celebrated my birthday this weekend by going to JoAnn's and getting fabric for my next gift quilt. I'm dying to get to my sewing room and press and cut! However, I have to work. I am trying to get all my work in so I can quilt! LOVE your blog and I am planning on getting a big roll of batting and a bunch of muslin or Quilter's Only parchment to have on hand thanks to your ideas in your FAQ! You are an inspiration! Thanks!

We (Australia) are being ravaged by severe flooding in North Queensland and extreme disasterous fires in New South Wales and Victoria. So lots of praying for those that have lost their lives... (both in floods and fires) and for those left to pick up the pieces and those who are out there fighting the fires. It's horrible.

lol well considering I am number 378 on the list, it is highly unlikely that my late posting will win me any material awards but that is alright. I got to view your great blog and hope you don't mind but will be putting it on my own blog list. I have yet to attempt to do quilting or patchwork. My mother gave me some fat quarters (do I even have the right terminology here) to get me started on a blanket for when our baby arrives. I have them cut down now into the size I want and some are pinned together but each day sees me picking up my knitting needles and biting my lip as I stare at the patches waiting patiently for me to sew. I am nervous about it - truly. Always my first attempt at anything is such a huge learning curve and the mistakes are often hilarious to say the least. I get so envious when I see the amazing quilts that yourself and other bloggers are capable of doing. I'm from Ireland and quilting isn't a big deal here unfortunately, would love to take a class in it but reading books is as close as I can get for now. Will take a deep breath at some point this week and plunge right in with those patches. :)
