Cuter than cute!
Love it! So bright and cheerful!
kelly,i used a few yards of background fabric-maybe 3-3.5 and then the other colored pieces would take about the same amount of fabric.i hope that helps!aj
crafty lady, heather is going to quilt it-she is going to stipple it.aj
Now this would be a great way for me to use up my scraps...oh why do you tempt me?!?
Fantastic! Love the bright colors and boldness of the large whirlygigs.
I love this quilt. It's really bright and cheary. I can't wait to see it all done.
This would be a good scrap quilt, I think one that I could actually finish...not like my star quilt along quilt that I am stalled on because of my triangle issues. :) This one looks more forgiving.
Very nice, I love all the colors.
Great colors and great pattern. Happy and cheerful! Swirls would be great for the quilting.
Love it! Can't wait to see the finished product!
It turned out very cute! Nice work ladies!!
I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT!!I love the name (it makes me giggle). It's so pretty, I don't think it even needs to be quilted! It's perfect as it is! :-)
so amazing! i love it.
This is the cutest!!! Makes me want to run to my stash and whip one up... Yeah, right- it'll take me at least two weeks. ;)
Wow! I guess I need to get my finished. Your looks so great sewn together. I was thinking of adding some sashing to my quilt, but now I see I will loose the secondary pattern, but that might be better than a sea of all cream. Your thoughts on this? Funny side note my word verification is PORN :-)
Wow, lady, you are amazing. You do quilts faster than I can log on my computer. I send your blog to almost all my friends because your work is simple but yet georgous!
Sooo cute! Thanks for showing us how you made the pattern!
qubie,i really really like the sea of cream, as you call it. i LOVE the secondary pattern that is created by the cream, and with the sashing you would lose that. but now i'm wondering what it would look like with sashing...hmmm.aj
I love your quilt. It's a great block, as is your blog.Christine
I made the same quilt pattern, amazing how too they can look so different. See it here: http://patchesquiltworks.blogspot.com/2008/11/dandelion-seeds-and-winner.html

I just love this quilt pattern! You are an amazing quilter - you do so many! I know you have already answered this question somewhere in your blog, but I can't find it, so am going to ask anyway: What fabric do you use for your standard white, and where do you get it?Thanks for taking the time to blog all of your creations - I love you site! Very inspirational!
dawn, for my background fabric i use either bleached muslin or quilter's only cotton in the color parchment. (i used parchment for this quilt.) i buy both fabrics at joanns. by the bolt. with a coupon or on sale.aj
Very lovely my friend! Can't wait to see the finished quilt! :)
You are such a prolific quilter!!! You totally blow my mind and I have been so inspired by you! I made 2 quilt tops today. Mind you there were all squares, super easy peesy. Now for the harder part...the actual quilting! But when I finished piecing just now, I thought of you and had to come check to see what you have been up to lately. Of course quilting. Gosh, did I say how you blow my mind with all these quilts! Can't wait to see this new one quilted...what a fun block design.Happy 2009 to you! I am looking forward to tracking your progress this year.Sheree
Love your new quilt and the colors. Great inspiration to get me moving.Debbie
I was very nice!
Oh I just love it! Perfect for a guest room or a kids room. Will you be adding a border? How will you be binding it? Cant wait to see:)
I think that I might make a whirlygiggle. Something different and cool.
You've inspired me to make my own....can't wait to see how you finish it.
this is so adorable! I love the colors in this quilt and it looks so fresh with all the white.
Amandajean,I don't know if this question has been asked already but I am wondering how long it took you to make the top? it is very pretty but seems like it might be a little time consuming? Did you follow the tutorial by tracing and cutting out the whirlys or did you do it a different way?My dh really likes it and wants me to make one for our bed... I'm a little worried. Thanks :) Kelly
That looks really nice!Kind regards,Sonnja & Bear Zonn
