ragged squares quilt top

is done!

It was a challenge because I was working outside my normal color palette. I ended up editing out the peach because it just wasn't working for me. I like how it turned out.

I will be gone from the blog for a few days. My father in law's wake is tonight, the funeral is tomorrow. My mother in law turns 70 on Sunday and my husband's birthday is on Monday. I think I will be posting week 9 of the quilt a long on Tuesday. I'm tired just thinking of it all.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

The quilt is lovely! I love the colors in it! You know me, with the florals...
We will be thinking about you over the next few days. Tell Kevin we hope he has a good birthday in spite of the last week.
Don't stress yourself over the quilt-a-long. We will all be here when you get back. Heck, I am only through week 4 anyway. LOL.
Take care my friend.

Have a safe and peaceful week-end.

Is this quilt made out of flannel?

If not, when it ravels down how does it keep from coming off the quilt?

Don't worry a bit about the quilt a long. We will all be here whenever you feel up to posting the next block, whether it be next week or next month.

Wow! That was fast on the quilt -- I love it! Good call on the deletion of the peach -- that would have been too reminiscent of 80's colors. I hope you have a peaceful weekend with family.

Hugs to you and your family, Amandajean. You and yours are in my thoughts.

Your newest quilt makes me think of summer. Blue skies and daisies. Fresh and pretty. Please let us see how it looks when the edges get to fraying...

Have a week-end filled with joy and laughter as your family reminisces about happy times together. May all the good memories
help to drive away the tears and sorrow. And may God comfort you all.

Your quilt is beautiful. Don't worry about the quilt a long. There are some who could use some catch up time I'm sure. Take care of that hubby and his mom. My thoughts are with you all. Some hard weeks ahead. Rest when you can.

My thoughts are with you and your family. This quilt is simply beautiful. Love the colors. By the way...I know the quilt along has been going for some time...but I think I will start with block one and see what I can accomplish. I think it would help me get my skills back. Thanks for doing all the work to share these blocks.
