bright birch tree kit giveaway

I put together a little bright birch tree starter kit that I'd like to send to a new home. I've collected a huge variety of small pieces (and they are small) but they are perfect for my bright birch trees pattern! The great thing is, most of the pieces are ready to sew up...very little trimming will be required. The kit includes a copy of the print pattern and a tall pile of small scraps...just add the background fabric of your choice! If you don't like small scraps, please do not enter. (Seriously!) :) If you do like small scraps and you'd like a chance to win, please leave me a comment on this post. In your comment, I'd love to hear what quilt project you are closest to completing. (I'm anxious for a finish, can you tell?) I'll pick a winner in a few days. US mailing addresses only this time, please! Thank you!

Love Love Love scraps. In fact there may be taking over, but I forge ahead. What a great giveaway. I would love to take them off your hands. I am closest to finishing a quilt for a friend that features blocks made by her quilter mom who passed away. Thank you so much.

My close to finished items are two baby quilts, both my own pattern and a large queen size quilt based on a Bonnie Hunter pattern called patches and pinwheels. I just have to put the bindings on each of them.

I am currently closest to finishing a scrap quilt with 2" squares. It's been a long project that I work on periodically, but I'm determined to make it my focus now. I have always loved your birch trees pattern, and would love to make one. Thanks for the opportunity!

I bought this pattern a while ago, and I am really looking forward to making it some day. The project I'm closest to finishing is a throw quilt I'm making as a housewarming gift for a friend. I'm finally up to FMQ-ing it, my favorite part!

What a fun and happy pattern! the project that I am closest to finishing... well, I do have the latest Bonnie Hunter Allietare quilt ready to quilt up, but I haven't figured out what I want to do yet. I am currently working on Robert Kaufman's pattern, Field Day using their 2016 color of the year ( yellow!). I love that one, so I think it may actually be finished before my currently basted quilt :)

I love this pattern and have been trying to find wiggle room in the ol' budget to get it. I am almost finished quilting my middle daughters new bed quilt. When each of my kids turn 8 I update their bedding from their toddler quilts that grandma made each of them.

I hardly have any scraps, or very few, because I just started quilting in November and am close to finishing only my third quilt--it is called Stars Over Iowa and was my first time sewing the traditional flying geese. Somewhere I came across your blog and Instagram and have been following your love of scraps! I hope I win!!

Kate said...

I'd love to be the lucky recipient of a bright birch starter kit! especially one you curated -- how lovely! I've followed your blog for years, and bought your lovely book. Seeing your posts always brightens my day (how fitting then, for me to make a bright birches quilt with your scraps?). Who knows? Maybe I'll be the lucky one!
I'm closest to completing a scrap vortex rainbow quilt. Rainbows are much on my mind and in my heart this summer.

So inspired by your blog! Would love to win this! I'm a fairly new quilter, but I just finished a scrappy checkerboard quilt using fabrics from my little girl dress project, my Mom's scraps, some fabrics I inherited from her BFF, along with some apron scraps that were my Granny's. Quilted and blinded it myself. Feeling so accomplished! I'm glad for all the online tutorials. Currently working on a scrappy wonky star mini quilt.

I'm hand-quilting a baby quilt. The shower is in 15 days. What, me worry? Whenever I see birch trees, I think of your work. I'm allergic to them so I think a quilt would fit the bill - thanks!

I love scraps! And I've been admiring your birch trees pattern for quite some time.
I finished a quilt earlier this week, does that count? It was a Halloween-inspired simple quilt for Project Linus. Today's project is to make a label for a baby quilt that is otherwise finished; baby's dad is a coworker and returns to work on Tuesday, so I hope to gift it then. Beyond that, my closest finish is a top for the Orlando/Quilts for Pulse collection that just needs borders to be a completed top.

The Scrappy Moose said...

Such pretty scraps! Why don't mine look as pretty? Hmm, maybe the scraps are always cuter in someone else's collection? I am working on a granny square quilt. Blocks are made, sashing and bordering are my next step.

What could be better than a scrap infusion? I had a good finishing week because I found 2 baby quilts that just needed binding. Hooray, a double finish.

I am working on a paper piecing quilt project, "Arcadia Avenue". It is our 2016 project for a paper piecing group I belong to. We won't be finishing it until the end of the year, but I am taking each block as a finish. Learning so much about paper piecing! I am also working on two wall hanging, all in scraps, some of which are left over from my first quilt five years ago. It feels so nice to be using up these bits and pieces. Looking forward to quilting them up and hanging them on my walls. Thanks for the contest. I have been eying this quilt pattern since you first showed it on your blog. Love, love, love it! Deanna H.

The quilt that I'm closest to finishing is orange DP9. It's sandwiched and basted but I've been stalled on quilting it because I know exactly how I want to quilt it but I'm worried I'll mess it up. I want to fmq dragonflies. I want it done by fall so I can use it, so I'm going to have to get brave!

Thanks so much for the giveaway and the chance to win. I have a US mailing address.

This is so fun that you are giving these away as I just took out my pattern for this project the day before and was pulling out scraps. I have a crazy fondness for scraps. My nearest project to completion is a modern quilt of color strips that I am getting ready to machine quilt. This will be the largest project that I have machine quilted myself and have hopes of entering it in the fair this year.
