I have a few finishes and they all involve scraps, if you can believe it...
here.) I think this is my 7th one? If you are like me and can't bear to throw away the tiniest scraps and you would really like to use them some day, this just might be the project for you!
I love these. An awful lot.
Quilt As You Go Patchwork Bags class on Craftsy. The first lesson was a quilt as you go pot holder. It was a nice way to get warmed up to the technique and now I want to make 99 more! (I should. I certainly have the scraps for it!) Even attaching the bias binding wasn't too bad. It was nice to start and finish a project in a day. I should do more of that!
On the up side...I've learned how to remove the background of my photos in Photoshop without pulling my hair out. That's pretty exciting!
These are scrappy projects #11, #12 and #13! Only 88 more to go to reach my goal of 101!
Do you have any finishes to share? If so, please link up! Thanks for joining me for finish it up Friday!
I love scrappy projects and really enjoying your 100 scrappy projects goal! I need to figure out taking the background out of my pictures as well...any helpful tips or a tutorial you've found helpful? Happy Friday and thanks for a great link party.
I love "Robert". So very cute! I really need to make something with fussy cut blocks some day.
I love your needlebooks--so cute! Congrats on mastering Photoshop--it drives me bananas!
Oh, please share your photo shop skills. I need to learn ways to do this background removing. I feel like I have tried everything, and your pictures look soooooo good!
Love that pot holder! Please share your background removing trick - pretty please.
Love love love the ticker tape canvas as well as the quilts...not really sure what to do with the card stock, though...do I "glue" the fabric to the cardstock then cut out the cardstock before mod podging to canvas?
gorgeous scrappiness! The canvas is great :)
LOVE the ticker tape canvas and yes, I too have such a problem throwing away those teeny, tiny scraps. I love seeing ways to actually use them. Thanks for the inspiration!
Dear Amanda, this is my first 'Finish it up friday' today and i am really happy to be here. My finished projekt is an 'Candy Coated' inspired Quilt made from 100 % Scraps. Thank you for your great inspiration.
Greetings from Germany, Kirstin (just fallen in love with Robert :-))
Your small projects are so cute. I'm going to make one of them today, and put on my blog tomorrow. In the meantime I link my pincushions, a lot of them. I love them, and think the world should have a chance to see ;-)
I love that you are committed to making 100 scrap projects. Ya for goals and accomplishments! I MUST make one of those canvas ticker tape art projects for my sewing room decor.
The ticker tape on canvas is such a great idea! Thanks for sharing it again, I see some in my near future.
I am wanting to try a ticker tape canvas... how cute is that! My definition of scrap has definitely shrunk over the last year.
The flowers on the needlebook aren't upside down! It's just a needlebook for lefties.
I love all of your projects!!! I was tasked by my husband to make pot holders. I can't believe he actually didn't tell me to buy some!! So I think I might try out the quilt as you go!!!
I love all these projects! And that needlebook makes me want to add another project to my list... You have inspired me, I am off to dig out my sewing machine myself. :) Hope your weekend is a good one!
Love the canvas and could you enlighten me as to how you remove the background to a photo in PS w/o losing hair? It kills me too and I'd love to know how you do it!
Love your scrappy projects. Off to see your tutorial for the ticker tape canvas. Thanks for sharing!
Amanda - You COULD just pretend that the needle book is for a lefty, like me... and that you meant to do it that way... LOL! By the way, Robert is the CUTEST!
What a great idea...love the ticker tape canvas idea!. Your pot holder and needle case are so cute. Thank you for hosting the linky party. Marie
I need to make some of your little projects so I have a few gifts tucked away for birthdays so it isn't always last minute.
Your scrappy projects just keep getting cuter and cuter!
I hope you have time soon to do the tutorial on quilting in the round, I have several quilts all pin basted just waiting for the magic day I see
your helpful directions and hints.
Thanks for all you give Amanda Jean,
and hey look how this Finish it up Friday has grown!!!
I wish you continued success and I do hope you have another book in the works!
I love that Ticker Tape on Canvas, Amanda Jean! Hope you don't mind if I share it, with a link back, on my facebook page at http://facebook.com/sewfreshquilts. Your little projects are sweet, too! Thanks for hosting the weekly Finish it up Fridays. It is always a treat to see what everyone is up to! Have a super weekend!
Thanks for having the link party. I've loved your Finish it up Fridays for forever and finally get to join in the fun (now that I've started a blog).
Love your posts always. :)
Love all of your scrappy projects. I have Tara's class in my Craftsy library....guess it's about time I watch it. Glad to know there is a warm up project before tackling the tote. I'm impressed with your Photoshop skills. Happy Friday!
I so love your potholder, this would be a great "extra" gift during Christmas time. Teacher gift, stocking stuffer, door prize at a Christmas party, hostess gift..... pretty much anyone who received one of them would remember you throughout the year as it was being used or being admired while hanging in the kitchen! Love, love, love that potholder :O)
You constantly rock my world with your creative output. Seven (?!?!) ticker tape canvases? What do you do with them all? Are they gifts? House or studio adornments? Inquiring minds want to know.
I'm smitten with your FOs today. Thanks for sharing and giving me happy images to dance in my sleep tonight.
love love love the ticker tape scrappy! so fun! I am going to check out the tute now!! :) thanks for all the inspiration!
Those flowers aren't upside down. You just made the needle case for a lefty!

The flowers on the needle book are NOT upside down! It is merely a left-handed needle book!
Ohmygoodness, Robert just kills me! I love adding fun little details like that to my quilts. I can't bear to throw away tiny scraps, either, a ticker tape quilt is definitely on my list..maybe a canvas, too.
I've been enjoying seeing your scrappy projects. Quick question. On your potholder, do you know the name of the fabric that is to the right of the apple, the aqua with white flowers? Thanks!
I love those little canvases -- soo cute! What fun to look back and see all the fabrics that you've used. And, like a bajillion of your other readers, would love info on the background removing!
