More triangles today. (sorry) But I really love this block and I think they are worth it.

draw a line with pencil on wrong side of the background fabric from one corner to the opposite corner.

cut apart on the line, press and you have 2 squares.
not so bad, right?
continue doing this technique with remaining squares, pairing a colored and a background fabric each time.
you should now have 16 squares.

Am I the only one who can't see the pictures?
i can see them fine. Can't wait to get home and get started!!!
This is a very pretty block! I purchased 4 yds white on white fabric today soI can begin with blocks 1-4. I can do it!
beautiful - and you totally make it easy! LOVE that part.
Alack, my sewing machine went into the shop today - so at least I can start by cutting and pressing, right?
sigh.
I am making a baby quilt, and so far all four blocks are perfect, my colors are pink and yellow. eddye
I just finished block 3, will go on with 4. Thanks again, it looks great!
I love how you use the word 'should'.. should have 16 squares and should measure 12.5".. LOL I haven't done block 3, but will get busy this week and do the two at once..
thanks for the blocks.. gives me something to work on each week..

Pretty block.
I love the block. I will admit that when I first scrolled down to look at the picture, my groan was so loud that M came to see what I was looking at. Now, after reading the instructions, it doesn't look so bad.
Wish me luck! :-)
Ooh! Pretty!
That is the way I do my triangles. Love it.
i always wondered how that worked! thanks!
Wow, I'm really excited to do this one! I think this method of doing triangles will be fun! Now I just need to find some coordinating fabrics... hmm... Em
This was a fun block to sew. This quiltalong has become a Monday night ritual. I check out the new block online at work, rush home and start sewing! Great way to start the week.
ACK! I just completed the block, and I think my seams were too big, because my final block is a good 1.5 inches less in height/width than the other blocks. I might try this one again.
OK, now I can see the pictures! This is a cute one!
Really love this block. I just finished block one LOL. I will catch up, trust me LMBO. :) Thanks for doing this for us. HUGS!!!
This is really fun! Can't wait to see next one :)
Yeah, I am excited to see week 4. I'll get it done tomorrow. This lady is too tired tonight. Off to bed with a good book!
I finished my blocks and posted them to my blog :) I'm so loving the making 2 at a time...thanks again.
Oooh, lovely! Can't wait for January so I can get started!
Okay, I am officially in the quilt along! My name is Amy and I just recently discovered your blog. I have the perfect bunch of fabric in my stash for this quilt and was hesitating joining for fear I wouldn't actually do it. I am happy to report that I cut the pieces for weeks 1 and 2 today and expect to piece them tonight! What fun, I'm already looking forward to the next blocks!
I joined late, then had to shop for the background fabric and get things washed and pressed. Last PM I cut out blocks 1-4. Today I sewed all of block 1 and love it. Also worked on block 2 with only 2 more seams to go. Tomorrow, I hope to do blocks 3-4. Wish I'd learned to quilt this way....1 block at a time!
Hello again! This block is a very beautiful one. Is it a LaMoyne Star? It would be nice if you tell the names of the various blocks. Do you want a weekly report with picture, or what? Hope you'll join me to your list! I'm looking forward to next week's block! Have a nice week.
Best wishes from a cold Sunday in Norway.
I finished block 3 - now on to this block - thanks for sharing these blocks - you make it so easy to work with these blocks - thank you - I am working in lavenders and green with my background fabric being a tone 0n tone white.
