The bar chart quilt caught my eye immediately. I've thought about making something similar to this for a long time, but I never had enough vision to follow through. For that reason, I was more than happy to give this pattern a try. It's much better than I could have done on my own!
When it came time to quilt it, I decided to do a small stipple in the background. I quilted loopy L's in the printed strips. I also changed thread colors for the strips: some were quilted in red thread, some were quilted in white thread. It required me to bury quite a few knots, but it was time well spent. I love how the stippling unifies the background strips. This quilt will be texture-iffic once it is washed!
(The red background fabric is Moda Bella Solid (9900-JR 16).)

I thought for sure my answer would be orange because I love using orange and seem to always be using it. NOPE, I peekin my walk in closet and start looking around and its Purple! What the heck? How did I end up with this much purple? Ugh. Obviously its built up because I do nkt use it as much. Looks like Grandma will be making some purple stuff for her grandbabies for a bit, lol. I love your red quilt, but mine would be orange! Orange is the most prominent color in my stash. I LOVE it and have to MAKE myself NOT use it in every quilt I make. The book looks like a great one.

I always think those strip quilts just won't be pretty but then I see one and think, I need to make one of those, they are so pretty. LOL. I have a lot of greens because I can't walk by a patch of green squares, strips, or charms without picking one up. I just love green. Your strip quilt in red is divine. I love it. I think I need to make one in green! Surprise surprise.

Red is very prominent in my stash. I do use it, but not enough apparently! Maybe I need to make a quilt like yours but reverse the prints and the solid.
Ha! I think I had that same red jelly roll on my shelf for at least three years. I bought it and it was a bit too dark for what I wanted so it just sat there...until about a month ago. I thought I'd be picking up red fuzz for years. Love this quilt!

The most prominent color in my stash is blue. I have been gifted many, many yards of fabric and guess the givers liked blue. :) The book looks awesome!
Great quilt! I seem to have a awful lot of blue fabric, probably because I go to make something and think oh, that's to aqua, that's too navy, etc and keep buying more.
I have a lot of blues and mainly floral prints mainly as they are my favourite !

I have a ton of brown in my stash because it is my favourite colour... but since I mostly make things for other people it doesn't get used much :)

Your quilt is beautiful! Teal in all shades seems to be the most prominent color in my stash. I do use it often in my aprons and drawstring bags, but I guess I always replenish what I use because there sure is a lot of it on the shelves :)

The other day I organized all my fabric and realized all the blue that is in my fabric. I have no purple and I am guessing this is because I always use it. I'm not sure why I have a lot of blue, but it goes with everything!
I love the graphic-ness of the quilt you made. So effective! And in a simple, beautiful color palette. Of course, I have lots of aquas in my stash, but that's intentional because I keep using it in my projects - over and over. It's my favorite go-to fabric color to stash. This is so interesting. Last fall I made a quilt top that is somewhat similar with print background and solid strips. I have been stairs at it wondering how to quilt it, I love how yours turned out and agree that when it is washed it will be wonderful. I think I am ready to finish mine up now. It was so helpful to see the results of your project. Thank you for sharing this and for providing so much inspiration.
Years ago I had lots of earth tone colors in my stash. Now, I'm much more interested in bright modern colors and prints. I don't know if there is a predominant color but there is very little purple. Not a fan of purple quilts! Thanks for the give away!
Oh Wow on the red quilt. How very pretty. I like those clean lines, a copy of Debbie's book is going on my wishlist! I have tons of blue. I use them often, but they just sort of keep multiplying. I supposed I can't resist when I visit my LQS!

Great quilt! I think I do have a lot of aqua and teal blues in my stash, shortly followed by pinks. I love the colors. I have little purple - and avoid using my green unless is a sunny, limey spring green :)

I really like the vibrancy of the quilt in red. My stash has lots of pinks, but I've started to gather assorted purples. I guess I never could make up my mind between pink and purple. Even as a child. My bedroom was painted hyacinth because I couldn't make up my mind between pink and purple.

I "thought" I had a lot of reds in my stash, but recently I was cleaning up my sewing area and putting scraps into bins. I had to move the GREEN bin twice because I had so much! Who knew? My foyer is green, my living room is green, and my dining room is green. I also have a mint green guest bedroom! Now I know too!
Hmmm-not really sure which color is most prevalent. I'm gonna guess blues, but I'm not sure. Actually - probably whites since I use them a lot for borders, etc. Love your quilt!!

The most prominent in my stash is blue. That is because it is my favourite colour. I LOVE your red quilt, and I recognized your fabrics right away! :-) Great finish, and this looks like a terrific book...man there are too many squirrels in QBL (Quilting Blog Land) these days...

This is lovely and has me thinking about making a red/white quilt (as if I need another quilting project going on!) My stash has pretty equal amounts of blues and greens (and the colors in between blue and green.) I think I'm mostly drawn to those colors. I use them a lot but I also hoard some of my favorites. One of the things I'm trying to do this year is add in more oranges and purples intentionally. Those are the colors I have the least amount of!
