Lynn Harris wrote a wonderful scrap quilt book called Every Last Piece. I was anxiously awaiting the release of her book, knowing that she loves scraps at least, if not more, than I do. She did a great job on her book...so many quilts (with tiny pieces) that I would like to make!
I'm still working my way through reading the book (I'm taking my time) but I've enjoyed it so far. Lynn shares how she sorts her scraps (always an interesting topic to me!) and the quilt gallery where she shares quilts she has made over the years is very inspiring!
I love Lynn's quilts because they are scrappy, of course, but they are also authentic and timeless. She does beautiful work!
Here are a few of my favorites:
This one has to be at the top of my list. I literally laughed out loud when I read the caption next to the quilt. Lynn admits that if she had read the directions for the quilt beforehand, she probably would have never started the quilt. I love that!
Every Last Piece is published by Interweave and is available on Amazon, of course! If you would like to win a copy of the book, please leave a comment on this post. In your comment, I would like to hear what is the smallest size of scrap you save! (You can see my answer here. Please don't judge! :) )
The giveaway is open to both international and US readers alike. Please, only one comment per person. I plan to pick a winner on Saturday!

Save1 "strips.... And have a hard time throwing everything else away. Scrappy is the best. Thanks for the giveaway. Janita
I have a hard time trying to sort scraps - but loving the photos fromt his book you shared. I tend to do miniature piecing so small is good. If I can still sew two seams in it - I keep it. If it's too small for me - I'll toss in another scrap bag that gets donated to our school art teacher for projects she has.
I'm probably a bit naughty because I don't keep very small scraps, unless it's a real favourite fabric. On average it has to be at least 3" x 3" to be kept in my house.
I try not to save anything smaller than 1.5" square but if it's a fabric I love I might save an even smaller piece. Would love to win the book!
I save everything..even little tiny tiny triangles that i probably could never sew together!
I can almost hear your talking when I read your blog. What a wonderful book...reminds me of the great scrap quilts you showed us at the retreat!!!
I do minis so I do use as small as 1 1/2 " squares and strips.
1" square if it's white/cream, 1"x4" if it's a color. I'm crazy and proud of it!
I have a hard time letting go. I probably keep any larger than 1 inch.
I'd say a 1.5" square would be my smallest piece...
I would say that the smallest scrap I save is about 1.5 inch square. I do a lot of improv and paper piecing and these small scraps come in really handy! Thanks for the chance to win the book. It looks awesome!
I save every scrap except for the most miniscule.
I keep them down to almost 1/2 inch. Almost too small to use.
me? about a one inch square is as small as i go!!!
(just a heads up-my daughter is reading over my shoulder singing 'liar liar pants on fire'....!!!)
Two inches is my smallest... I do enjoy reading your blog! joannb1978@gmail.com
Probably less than an inch. I don't really have enough scraps to make anything substantial yet as I am a quilter of just one year. I did make my mom a log cabin quilt in purples (her fave color) and used some of the scraps to make a quilted zip pouch (my 3rd zipper!)
2 inch square-ish, unless I really love the fabric. Then I save smaller.
I save 2.5 inch squares and 1.5 inch strips.
Christine from Ontario
I don't save anything under 2" unless it's a string scrap.
renae1225@gmail.com
Thanks for a chance to win what looks like a fantastic book. I see several quilts I need to make just from the few photos you shared. I'll save 1" wide strips especially for string quilts, but the smallest squares I save is currently 2", although I've been thinking about starting a collection of 1 1/2" squares.
Thanks again, anitastevens33atyahoodotcom
1/2" squares- Thanks for the chance to win! It looks like a great book!
1 1/4 inch strings. The book looks interesting. I like another scrappy person!
Ooh this looks like a great book!
I have a hard time throwing much away...so I tend to keep 1"X1" and bigger :)
Hola!!!!que hermoso libro.mis retazos son 2" aproximadamente. Un abrazo.
The smallest scrap that I ever used was a 1.5 inch square. I am learning to be more scrappy! Thanks for the chance to win!
I save anything more than 1-1/2" square. Just made some color coded fabric baskets to finally sort them!
Well... I save the extra triangles from the easy corner blocks that get cut off. I know I have things that are less than an inch wide. I do try to restrain but the little bitty triangles just call to me and say, "Save us! Please!" :-) Thanks- K- lkw2x6-apq@yahoo.com
I pretty much keep everything and then occasionally go through my scrap bin and throw away anything that I think is too small to be useable. Its a hard thing to do!
The book looks great! I save 1.5 inch squares, but I doubt I will ever use them.
I typically don't save anything less than a quarter yard. But. I do collect precuts, and have plenty of mini charms! And. I love Fig Tree & Co!
Up until a couple of weeks ago I threw away "pieces too small to use" I use narrow strips as pretty ties for plants in the garden but I had no use for odd shapes narrower than an inch. I've now discovered a use for these bits and am keeping them in a zip top bag which I've mentally labelled " pieces too small to use". One day I intend to bite the bullet and make something with them!
The smallest scraps I save are 1" HST.
Thanks for the giveaway!
to be thrown away, a scrap has so be smaller than my thumb :) Thanks for the great giveaway!
My smallest are about 2" square, but if it is really special fabric like Liberty then every teeny piece. x
I think my smallest piece I keep is about 1" square.
This book looks great! thanks for the chance
irinadejuanATgmailDOTcom
I limit myself to 2.5" pieces bur find it really hard to throw away any fabric
doyleajackie AT gmail DOT com
I like to cut squares out of my scraps and the smallest one I have are 1.5" x 1.5" 😊
The smallest I currently have are some triangles which are half of squares which were 2.5". They might even be smaller and I think they will eventually be thrown away. My rule of thumb is if it is 2.5" square or larger it can be used. The book looks fabulous but some of those stars look crazily small!
Mine are generally 2inches but because fabrics are so expensive here in South Africa with the darn exchange rate I'm tending to keep 1inch strips too :)
I don't judge my scraps, I keep almost all of them. I draw the line at less than 1" though, as you lose all the fabric in the seams and there is so little to show for it. Unless of course, it's a very special designer. Or a special fabric. Or my favourite colour. Or the day ends in Y. I need scrap therapy, badly!
I'll save skinny (1/2") strings for rugs, but other than that I generally don't save smaller than 2 or 3 inches square.
3" is my smallest. Thanks for the chance. sru60@aol.com
If I can put a stitch in it I keep it, so 3/4 squares are my smallest pieces. Now have a made anything with them? Not yet, but I will!
I save ALL my scraps.
If they are too small for me (smaller than one inch)I pass them to an art quilters friend.
I'm always reluctant to throw fabric bits away! Have some at about 1 inch square. Book looks ideal to provide inspiration to use the scraps!
fabricstasher24@gmail.com
What a fab book! I keep anything larger than 1" square.
Like you I save tiny scraps, probably down to 1". Mind you, I'm using them in my latest project and it has become quite a challenge for me just to use my tiny scraps that anyone else would have thrown out.
I have cut some 1" sq pieces, but haven't used them-yet.
I do plan on making a quilt with those small pieces, if only a doll carriage size! Sincerely, Paula K.
Hi,
I've made a 2"/2" scraps millenium (2000 pieces) quilt , I'm now saving strips of 1.5" & 2.5" & of corse selvages,
thanks for the chance,
katelijn

Looks like a great book. I save 1 1/2" strips/squares. bekedams at yahoo dot com
I save standard sizes but will cut scraps down to 1x1 inch... and recently used some white ones to make heart blocks! It was great not to have to cut them first ;-)
I tend to keep it all... you never know when you might need it!
My smallest scrap - probably 1x2 inches. Why Indon't know. But I have actually used them on occassion when making a crazy quilt. Would love to get my hands on this book. Wonder if my LQS carries it?
I adore scrap quilts! I am a new quilter so I don't have very many scraps yet. I am lucky a few ladies in my quilt guild have given me some. The smallest I keep are 2x2 or strings. This looks like such a fabulous book!!
I would have to say 2" squares or 1 x 2" pieces. They are hard to toss but also harder to use. Thanks for the chance to win! shopgirl7232 at yahoo dot com
Hmmmm.....you certainly have a knack for organizing your scraps! I guess 2" is about the smallest pieces I save, but.....(and there is always a but) I do save skinny pieces for string quilts, maybe an inch wide or so. And I have to say I love your kitchen island worktable!
The smallest I usually keep is 1-1/2 inch squares
Well, it depends on how much I love the fabric, but usually about two inch squares, would love this book for my sewing library!
would love this book! scrap quilts are my favorites!
1.5x1.5 is my smallest scrap to purposely save!
I try not to save extra small pieces. I try and make sure that it would be about 2" x 2". But that is not a hard and fast rule for me.
I think my smallest was an inch square I used on one of my first mug rugs. It was cartography print fabric and I used it all
Look! Such pretty quilts! I think my smallest scrap is an inch square. Not sure what I will do with those! Thank you for the opportunity to perhaps add this great book to my quilt library!
One and a half inch is about my smallest. Book looks great.
oh, das ist ein tolle geschenk, da mache ich gerne mit bei der verlosung, da ich sehr gerne mit resten arbeite. vielleicht habe ich ja glück
schönen tag noch
lg elfriede/österreich
I have some 1 1/4" squares I need to "file" away today...
I save everything except the slivers left after squaring up blocks. I am using them in a scrap quilt I am making for myself which will be from all the quilts I have made. It will indeed be scrappy!
The smallest I save is 1 1/2 inch square
Probably 2 inches square is my smallest piece.
1 inch strips and 1 1/2 inch squares are my smallest scraps.
For super beautiful fabric, I will save something as small as 1" by 2". Otherwise, 2" x 2" or larger. (This book looks great!)
A 1 inch square is the smallest I save! I'm nutz I guess!! I did make a few stars with 3/4 inch hst who knows what I was thinking there!! ;0)
I would love to own this book! I have some tiny pieces I keep thinking I'll use but never have. Like 1x 1.5??? Way too small so I will probably purge. Running out of room!!
Right now I am looking at some 1" X 1" squares, trying to just let them go. Oh well.
Janis
I always INHERIT other peoples scraps because the guild knows I make crumb blocks by sewing them onto RICKY TIMS STABLE STUFF ... I then use the made fabrics into blocks mostly for DONATION CHARITY QUILTS. Instead of sorting size I sort style of fabric... I personally do not like mixing muddy ( Civil war, repro, batiks) fabrics with brights or moderns as I think they clash. I do grab bags of like fabrics then merrily piece them into a block. I do not like any size less then an inch as the results in too much bulk with the seam allowance. The STABLE STUFF softens and goes away when quilt is washed.
I don't think I have kept anything below a 1 1/2" sq.
Probably inch and a half square
I read about your storage method...very doable! I may give it a go. I think 1 inch squares are my smallest size. Oh, I liked the Stardust quilt too!

Hmm.. I save all my scraps and probably the smallest is 1" square. Just can't bare to toss out any just in case I find a pattern or inspiration to use tiny pieces.
About 2" x 2"!
PS- thanks for the heads-up about this book. I just loaned your book to a friend yesterday, boasting about all of the scrap inspiration! Looking forward to paging through this one!
I use Joan Ford's Scrap Therapy approach - 2, 3 1/2, and 5" squares, plus strips. Always looking for new ways to use them.
If it looks like I could use it for a 1/4 hexie I save it. Those little scraps have come in handy quite a few times.
After one move, and anticipating moving a second time within 6 months, I've decided that the smallest scrap I keep is 2.5in squares. It was very difficult to part with all those trimmings I was saving for pillow stuffing....but I had to. I would love to win a copy of the book. Thank you!
I'll save strips that are 1/2 wide and 1 inch squares and larger
I keep anything larger than 1 inch square, but I also have a clear glass jar where I put bits too small to sew!!!! I love your fabric boxes have made quite a few.
I have saved 1 inch strips because you just never know when you need just a bit.
The smallest I save are 1 1/4 pieces.
My smallest scraps are about one inch square.
Dog ear corners from HST's:)
You never know when you need a leader scrap or to fill in a corner on a pin cushion.
bluestarof2(at)yahoo(dot)com
anything under 2.5" square goes away
I would love to have this book. I save anything 1 square inch or larger, and I also save strips that are 1/2" wide. Nuts. But fun!
I love your posts! I think a am a fabric hoarder....I don't want to throw anything away so your organization ideas are wonderful! My smallest piece is 2" that I try to sort. I have to admit there is a plastic trash can full of tiny scraps!
I hats throwing anything away!!! So....... Thanks for the giveaway!
I once saved tiny snippets (even the dog ears we all trim off!) in greens and fall colors so I could make trees with confetti leaves and piles of fallen autumn leaves. After collecting for 10+ years but not getting the nerve to start sewing, I turned the pile into doll pillows and donated them. Now the smallest niblet I save is an inch square.
I save lots of scraps, and if it's a particularly beautiful piece of fabric I will keep down to size 1"x1" ;)
Inge C, Denmark
inge39(at)live.dk
It kind of depends on the fabric, lol. But generally, I don't save anything under 1.5".
I keep scraps that can be cut to 1" square. I can't bear to throw them away. One of these days, I'm sure I'll do something spectacular with them :)
Normally, I cut 2.5 in square and that is the smallest
1 inch square. Thanks for the chance to win.i think I would enjoy the book very much.
That book is awesome. I'm a scrap saver but the smallest I save NOW is 2 inch squares or strips for string quilts. I turned 60 in December and it's like a switch was flipped on my eyesight LOL
I like my work better with 2 inch and larger than what I see with the smaller pieces :)
I would LOVE to win this book!!!
That book looks great. the smallest piece I save is a 1 inch square.
I would love to win. The size I save is probably the same as you do. Sandrarobben@ hotmail .com
2"squares unless I really like the fabric in which case it can be thumbnail size. I can always glue it on paper, right?
I save scraps that measure at least 3/4 inches wide. They work great for string blocks. Thanks for the giveaway.
My smallest are 1.5 x 1.5. If I can get that out of the last scrap I go for it!
I only throw away slivers (from squaring up blocks). Everything else gets donated!
Guardo piezas de apenas media pulgada a veces y sobre todo bordes,en este momento tengo como dos cajas grandes
El libro: precioso
I am in the middle of making my first scrappy quilt! I think getting hooked on scraps will be next!
What a great looking book. I keep anything 1" square or bigger. I like to EPP and want to get into some small EPP projects.
I save scraps if they are about 2 inches but lately I have started to save everything I would normally throw. I plan to use them to stuff a large dog bed. Please enter me in the drawing. Carol
Cgouveia@q.com
I have a hard time throwing scraps away. Right now 1" goes into a "use it" container and smaller pieces go into "dog bed" container. Thank you for the opportunity.
I think I have a 1 in square. I don't do much appliqué, so that's the smallest I can work with.
The smallest I save is 1.5 inches.
Anything smaller I save in a bag to donate to the local group who uses as filler for animal pillows for our Humane Center.
I'm not sure how many itty bitty scraps I have but if pressed I'd guess the smallest averages about 2 inches.
I keep every scrap down to a 1 1/2" square and strings narrower than that. I tried saving one inch squares but that got to be too much. I'm not as organized as you are but I am making an effort to use them in a couple of different projects. I would love to win Lynn's book and see what she does with her scraps!
Love the Nancy quilt! I keep scraps down to 1 X 1 inch squares and 1 inch strips. It must b a thing for quilters to be unable to throw out fabric. I admit I also have a thing about buying fabric and usually buy a one yard minimum! I'm trying to get better about that and buy 1/2 yards and FQ's!
Currently I save 2.5" squares. The rest I put in ziploc bags and giveaway. This book is so interesting. I want to see more
Probably the smallest scraps I save are about 2". I love working with scrappy quilts. The book looks very inspirational. thanks cknapp3626@sbcglobal.net
The smallest scrap I save is 1 inch....
and HST's??, the teeny tiny little corners cut off flying geese? Also, one inch....don't know if I'll ever use them, but they are so cute, I can't bear to throw them out.
Claire
c7lonergan@rogers.com
the smallest scraps i save are 1.5 in. squares.
I normally don't measure my scraps but I woukld say about 1.5 to 2 inches.. I love paper piecing , so they come in handy.
I use my scrap fabric in stages and try to keep them organized by size. I take the trims from piecing and use those too. The smallest that I use are literally pinky size. I'll never run out of fabric.
Wow! Apparently I've been super wasteful. I usually chuck anything smaller than my hand but I'm new to quilting and just discovering my love for scraps. I would love to try some of these tiny beauties.
Wow, this looks like a great book!
Maybe 1 inch strips? I have some tiny scraps. I blame foundation paper piecing as you can use tiny wonky scraps. Thanks!
I save just about everything . . . even the little teeny trimmings that are too small to actually sew. I throw them in a big jar just because I think they look so colorful. Have though they'd make a fun bird's nest sometime and did use a few for that very purpose recently.
I am probably just as bad as you. If I can sew it and there is fabric showing, I'll keep it. That means down to 3/4" squares and strips!
The smallest size I save is 1 1/2".
Oh, I hate throwing anything away!
Thanks for the giveaway.
I will save about a 1.5 inch piece myself. I am saving them to make your ticker tape quilt! :)
Are you supposed to throw any fabric away? I think that gives you an approximate answer; don't call my husband....thanks!
I do save smaller than 2.5" x 2.5", but most times it's just for use as a "spider" to start my string piecing. However, I'm starting to throw small pieces, like 0.5" x 2" in the scrap bins because I have hope that they can be used in some future scrappy project!
If the fabric is a favorite, or it is the last I have/can get of it, I will save 1" by 2" or so and use in crumb strips which then are made into crumb blocks. Perhaps using tiny pieces makes me feel virtuously frugal, regardless of the yards and yards in my stash! Thanks for the chance to win!
There's a difference of 3 inches between the smallest size scrap I save and the smallest size I seem to manage to use. Maybe this is the book to bring the two numbers closer together?
Ooh - those star quilts are gorgeous!
The smallest sizes I keep are 1.5 inch squares and 1 inch strips. Sometimes I feel bad about weird offcuts that just don't fit those dimensions, but I have to draw a limit somewhere or I'd be drowning in scraps.
I have some tiny 1/2 square triangle corners that were gifted to me at a retreat years ago. they will finish at 1/2 inch when put together! Even tho it's crazy, I can't get rid of them or the many more I've collected since. I would love this book... I think. LOL
I do paper pieced hexies, so probably 1" sqaures are the smallest!
I hate to wast fabric! So, I would have to say that the smallest that I save would be around 3/4".
I am obsessed with 1.5 inch squares. I could cut them all day long. I sew an entire quilt of them in my future!
I save scraps around 2 inches. Thanks sew much for the opportunity ... happy quilting
I think 1x2" is the smsllest I've saved, doesn't mean I'll ever make anything that will call for that size!
bgbailey81@gmail.com
I'm a scrapaholic so I'd love a copy of the book. I pretty much save every inch and keep them in bags in my attic. I figure they add to the insulation factor of my home:>
I'm working on a leader/ender quilt with 2" squares in it. I do have smaller bits of fabric. Thinking I can mod podge them to make a christmas ornament or some other fun thing I think of.
Oh Im just like you when it comes to scraps. Even pieces too small for half inch hexis are stashed in a bag that may become stuffing for something or may get trapped beneath voile or tulle as a made fabric...........who knows!
Im waiting for my creative gene to kick in with an idea for those weeny pieces!
The smallest scrap I save is a teensy bit more than an inch, if I love it - LOLA and I usually do!
1.5 inch strings or 2 inch squares -- I force myself to get rid of anything smaller (unless it's "special" then I save it down to the threads!)
I save tiny pieces (less than 1") because I do a lot of mini quilts for my granddaughter. Every bit counts!
akk_nana@yahoo.com
I have saved tiny little triangles of the original Flea Market Fancy--probably the only line of fabric where I have saved anything that tiny. Too small to sew with so I sewed them on note cards.
LOL 3/4" strip pieces... they are so cute as pops of color in string blocks! :-)
I keep small scraps for a ticker tape prpject: no smaller than 2" x 2"
Love little red hen's quilts!!
1/2" by several inches long, or 1" x 1 1/2". Those are pretty much the smallest.
The smallest size scrap I have used is 1"--I made a mini quilt with them. I would love to win this book--I love that quilt called The Whole Nine Yards. Thank you so very much for this giveaway. janicelashley@gmail.com
i LOVE scraps....
LOVE scraps!!!!
the smallest piece i've used is about 3/4" square. that would be of fabric i really like, the not-so-liked fabrics don't get that kind of honour.... it's a long project for me, i've been making 4.5" squares for a few years now - strictly from crumbs. it's a great "no think" job.
please put my name in for the draw,

It looks like a wonderful book, and I agree that reading about scrap management is a lot of fun. Tarnia.hodges at gmail.com
Shoot. I don't throw any size away, but -gasp- I never use them. Why? Because my eyesight isn't what it used to be, glasses don't help and manipulating all those tiny pieces isn't in my skill set just now. I love paper piecing which is why i originally started saving scraps, but paper piecing is getting harder and harder for me to do. But, I still won't throw away my scraps. I may have to donate them soon.
1.5" squares are probably the smallest thing I save! Looks like a great book - thanks for the chance to win!
Oh my gosh. I'm sure I'm right up there with you. I will save about an 1-1/2" square. I have no idea what I'm going to do with them but that isn't the point.
Sounds like I would enjoy this book....I save any and all scraps...I became a follower of Heather Valentine's blog..The Sewing Loft, many years ago when she wrote a little piece about using scraps as fabric...Fell in love with SF101 and her blog...so I same every piece I can.....
one inch square is the smallest I have saved. I didn't say I use them, but I have saved some. I'm more likely to use 2/12 inch squares.
I save just about everything, really. Maybe 1 x 1" scraps go in the trash? Maybe...
I have some 1-1/4" strips that I use for string piecing. I love this book. These quilts just blow my skirt up!
I save it all!
If it is under a half inch I toss it. I have a lot of small strips that are waiting for a good project!
I use 1" squares so I save at least 1"x1". I could make ALL the quilts in the book with the amount of scraps in my leftover bin!! Bring it on!
I have saved many a tiny triangle of fabric <1.5". Some pieces I cannot toss out!
I would love to win the book. Smallest scraps are 1 and a half inch . love Sue from the UK x
Maybe about 2" square---I do have a hard time throwing away beautiful quilt fabric---just never know when you might need a little scrap!
I was feeling bullied by my scraps; there were so many of them demanding to be sorted, considered, used! Now I keep scraps that will yield at least 4 2" squares.
I precut down to 1" square, but a few precious smaller scraps get saved for ticker tape art work :)
I save ALL of my scraps and don't get rid of them until they are too miniscule to use. And I do mean miniscule. I do lots of hand applique so even the teeny tiny pieces that most people throw away, I save. You'd be amazed at how tiny of a scrap you use for a bird's eye!
I save pieces under one inch long sometimes. Depends how rare it is, some vintage fabrics I keep all the scraps.
I save allll my scraps...and rarely throw away any of them! lol But am guessing 1" for sure....
This Book looks fun! Thanks for chance to win! :)
I have some crumbs that are less than an inch wide, by 1.5 inches long. I'm afraid to throw anything away in case I need it for something. I know, ridiculous, still I do it. poladydwd(at)yahoo(dot)com
About 3" squares.
I save one inch pieces too---I plan to someday do some kind of collage and free-motion stitch them down.....
I haven't really put much thought into scraps, except that I save everything except the slivers. Was thinking you could use even the smallest pieces to 'make fabric'. I'm impressed with how well organized you are - can you come help get me organized too?
ktsquiltdreams [at]gmail [dot]com
Smallest 1.5 x 1.0
I find it really hard to sew small pieces together add that with being far sided 😊
I would have to say the little triangles left over from binding. I am saving up to make Up, Up and Away from Sunday Morning Quilts. :)
This book looks like such fun! I try to only keep scraps that are at least 2-and-a-half inches square ... Thanks for the chance at a fun giveaway!
Great topic - I save anything 1" or more, and separate them in shoeboxes, by size. I made a string fence rail, and used anything 3/4" to about 1-1/4".
Thanks for the chance to win.
1.5 inches and strips-save everything!
I'd love this book. I keep every scrap. I sort them by color and use them until the scrap is less than 3/4 inch. I just can't bear to throw them away.
I think I would love this book! I don't keep anything smaller than 1.5"; just no room anymore. : )
Oh probably 1 inch square....
Thanks for the chance to win.
jlpfeffer at gmail dot com
I save everything over 1", and keep hoping I'll use them!
I would say about 2 inches. I can't admit to being a super scrap saver (yet!)
I usually go down to 2" squares like many. I've never tried a quilt with a large amount of negative space. That quilt on the book cover kept calling me back for another look!
I save almost everything! Generally, if it's at least an inch wide, I save it. That means I have lots of scraps! Thanks :)
Boy oh boy do I need this book. I try to keep scraps no smaller than 2 inches, but then I'll find some teeny piece with an itty bitty bird or goldfish or something, and into the basket it goes:)
I just started a "crumb" basket for 1" x 1" pieces and up. Not sure if I'll ever do much with it, but I love tiny pieces!
I save everything no matter how small!! But I do plan to use everything - I've already made some ticker tape cards with the smallest pieces. Thanks for the giveaway!!
I usually only save 2 inch squares and bigger. This book looks great. Thanks for the giveaway!
1.5" wide if it's a strip, or if I can get a 2.5" square out of it. It looks like a great book!
The smallest square would be one inch, but strips as narrow as 3/4". Little scraps are just so fun to play with!
I would love to win this as I'm on a fabric diet, and are using scraps all the time the smallest is are 1 inch square. I sew these together to make quilt labels.
marinaclark@live.com
My smallest pieces are about 1" square--or not so square. ;)
I consistently save scraps 2"x2" but if I really love the fabric or have a specific plan I will save smaller pieces. I will also save longer strips of fabric that are 1" or wider
I haven't actually sewn anything smaller than 1" strips ...maybe 3" long. Love your blog!
The smallest I save is 5/8 " wide.
