patterns

Welcome to finish it up Friday!

I've been working on updating all of my patterns using my new template, working toward a consistent, printable pattern line. It's a TON of work, but I'm s l o w l y getting there. It's starting to become a reality!!! (Woohoo!)
These four are DONE. (Complete with barcodes and everything. I feel so official!) I have a few more in the works....and a hundred ideas to work up after that. :) I can't even begin to fathom how many hours are represented here...but I think it's better not to know. Right?
I may be weird, but I kind of like packaging them up. My kids are looking forward to being hired to do some packaging, but so far school has been getting in the way of that. (Ha!)
These boxes represent one movie (You've got mail), one episode of "Everybody loves Raymond", 4 episodes of Call the Midwife (I just discovered it and I love it!) and a phone call with a friend. It was good to have an excuse to sit down and relax while working.
I packed up and shipped off one HUGE order this week and I'm counting that as my finish. Phew! (isn't that the most unglamorous photo ever???) Now, I can't wait to get back to the sewing machine!!!

If you've ordered a pattern from me in the past, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! I appreciate it more than I can say. I suppose I should clarify, I will continue to sell my pdfs through my big cartel and craftsy shops. The printed copies are for wholesale orders. If you are a shop and would like to carry my patterns, please email me at crazymomquilts@yahoo.com Thank you!

Now it's your turn! Please link up your finishes for the week. Thanks for joining me for finish it up Friday!

WOW... that's a lot of work! And you're right it's probably best not to add up the hours... lol. I'm so happy for you for all your success. And I know there is so much more to come.

The patterns look GREAT! What program are you using to make them in? I have to tackle this task myself and have no idea where to start.

The non quilting part of quilting can be the hardest thing to do but your work on the patterns looks awesome. Yay for getting the patterns done and getting back to the machine!!!

What a great accomplishment! They look so professional and appealing. How cool it would be to see them hanging on a shelf at a LQS! TGIF!

It may not seem as exciting as a finished quilt, but getting all those pretty patterns ready to sell is a big job, too. Congratulations on a job well done!

Good job.
Maybe you can time your next order with a break from school?
Or give me a call for an extra set of hands.

Wow that's a lot of work, but completely worth it, they look gorgeous and very 'you' and very enticing - now I want to go and make all of them!!

Congratulations Amanda! I'd check them all time, the same thing I do with my finished quilts!

No, that's not an unglamorous photo at all - it's great!! I think you will absolutely love the series 'Lark Rise to Candleford'. I came across it on someone's blog and was watching episodes of it via Youtube. My sister was much smarter than me and reserved the dvd's from our local library. Can't believe I didn't think of that!

They look great! We will have to talk about this on Monday. I'm looking into possibly putting my pattern on flash drives along with maybe a post card sized printed page with a picture and materials list, etc. for this show I have coming up and my friend, Dawn, said she would stock it at Just Sew Studio, too.

Nice job! I need step by step instructions and yours are awesome!!!!

Wow, your patterns are a HUGE undertaking. I hope it is rewarding and profitable for you.

Amanda Jean,

What can I say, you inspire me every morning about 4 a.m. when your Post pops in my email! Congrats at 250 and I know you can do 50 more this year alone. You are so energetic. My favorite is your Machine Quilting 101 tutorial on sandwiching, i.e. taping the backing to the floor, laying the batting and the quilt top with all those lil safety pins. I dreaded that at first but it sure held my quilt together so I could machine quilt it myself..only a throw though, hey I'm getting there:) The Olfa anniversary block that you made is primo! I've purchased two SPlash cutters. Literally feel like I'm holding raw turquoise in my hand. It's such a gem of a cutter. TY and all your sponsors.

Way to go Amanda Jean! Holy smokes, I think I have a vague idea of how much work that is ;) (A LOT) but haven't even come close to tackling it myself. Way to do it!!!

Also congrats on your 250th quilt! Yours was one of the first quilt blogs I ever read and you continue to be one of my inspirations every time I visit. Lots of high-5's to you!
