Welcome to finish it up Friday!
I started this quilt with 4 leftover blocks from Scrapper's Delight. They've been hanging around for much too long. It's so great to have them IN a quilt....finally! This is actually a smaller version of Scrapper's Delight, but with a twist of separating the scraps according to value.
SR Harris trip. It's wonderful to have backings on hand. It's even better that I'm USING them, because I can not wait to go back! Must. Sew. Faster.
The binding fabric was hard to choose, mainly because of that bright pink backing. In the end I went with this lovely Anna Maria Horner print. The scale of the print is perfect, as is the color. Hand stitching it down was a delight.
The quilt measures 36" x 48". This is scrappy project #23/101.
I wanted to say a quick thank you to all of you who took the time to leave such sweet comments on my last post. I appreciate you rejoicing with me over what could seem like a silly thing.....but it's also kind of a big thing. So, thanks. xoxo
Now it's your turn. Please link up your finish! Hope you have a fabulous Friday!
Been stalking this on IG......Yeah to see this finished!
It's so beautiful Amanda Jean!!
It's beautiful - I love all of these fabulous scraps together. Amazing!
Beautiful! I love the mix of brights with lower volume blocks. It looks so neat!

I love the mix of bright and low volume fabrics! It reminds me of this quilt I pinned on the cover of modern quilting book: http://www.amazon.com/Modern-Designs-Classic-Quilts-Traditionally/dp/1440229686/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_z.
Just beautiful Amanda Jean! Love the mix of colors and the layout. Awesome finish! Karen on Keuka
What fun! A lot of extra sorting, but so worth it!
Wow! #23/101?!? Thanks for the inspiration for using up those scraps! My basket continually overflows with scraps so I need all the inspiration I can get.
Congrats on the finish!
Oops... no linky ? TGIF !!
Lovely finish! I love the low volume blocks. Very nice!
Great mix of bold and low volume blocks.
What a great scrappy quilt. Love. It.
I love log cabins, and this is such a colorful take! So cheery and bright. Love the visual effect.
very nice! I love the pairing of bright and low volume!
I love the contrast. Wish I had more time!!
Creative, nice work! I'm especially a sucker for the scrappy low volume. I gotta try that some day.
Amanda Jean...your scrappy quilts are just the best!! This is such a happy quilt...luv it!! Happy stitching, Pauline
Love it! Makes me want to dump all my scrap bins onto my cutting table and have at it!
love love love the high/low volume thing!
LOVE this quilt! Thanks again, girl!!! Is your retreat in Co. coming up?
You make me want to sew sooo bad! Or roll in my scraps. That would make me just as happy right now. Visiting your happy place makes me feel good since I can't do either of those things right now.
Oh! What a great idea to separate the brights and LVs like this! This is awesome, and boy do those loops look perfect. That's my favorite all-over designs -- wish I could learn to do it. Nice.
Just love it!!!! The mix of colour with low volume is fabulous. As always, thank you for hosting the linky party. Have a great weekend Marie
This turned out beautifully! Genius idea to alternate the bright blocks with the low volume ones. Happy Friday!
So pretty! I love quilts full of scrappy goodness. I spent some time at SR Harris Friday - thanks for reminding me about it with your last post in September.
Lovely finish. Scrappy quilts are so happy looking. Crazy pink on the back :)
Such a bright and happy little quilt. Love it!
wow, I love this quilt too! I love the low volume and high volume together. I'm a high volume girl, but I think the contrast with the low volume makes the bold colors POP! even more! p.s. I'm linking up for the first time- it's a project I sewed, but it's clothes, not a quilt, let me know if that's okay or verboten!
Oh, Amanda, if I copy this I hope you will be flattered and not upset.....I just love it. It's like a sister to the Low Volume Sunday Morning quilt!
Hello I have been following you for awhile now and I just wanted to say that you are such an inspiration to me. I was also wondering if you would be willing to sell some of your scraps? I know you enjoy using them but you know my scraps are getting old and would enjoy using someone else's for a change. Or if you know of anyone who has any for sale that would be great. Thanks for being such an inspiration
Greetings from Poland :)
another great quilt, you inspire us all
I love the mix too!
One of these days I am going to head up to MN to see my niece and her family and we are going to go to that fabric shop. I am so intrigued by it. :)
This was a genius idea--could easily look at it for hours!
Love the contrast - brilliant!!
I love this quilt so much....I think I've come back to look at it about three times!! LOL!!! Thanks for the inspiration.
