That woman has some seriously amazing sewing skills! The finishes inside and out are spectacular. It fits her perfectly.
We had fun with a little photo shoot. Turns out hydrangeas make a nice back drop and they prove to be a good distraction from the camera, too.
Thanks so much, Linda! We absolutely love it! I'm so glad that my daughter can wear beautifully hand made clothing without having to do all the work. Because we all know that I'd rather sew her a mountain of quilts!
Wow, that is a sweet friend! Your daughter looks outstanding.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet dress for a pretty girl, and your hydrangeas are beautiful! You are blessed to have such a friend.

She's a natural! Both daughter and dress are beautiful. Your post brings back fond memories of my childhood home with a hydrangea bush in the front yard. *smile*

ReplyDeleteDon't you just love friends like that! So, a matching 'nap' quilt then?
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit and it is very cute on your daughter! A blessing indeed to have such a wonderfull friend.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Abby just cute as a button in those pictures?!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet dress and little girl!
ReplyDeleteBoth are cute as a button. I am the exact opposite of you. I would rather sew that dress any day than a quilt! Alas, I had three sons. I did the dresses for their weddings and then turned to quilts to feed the sewing bug. Your post reminds me that I could sew for my grand nieces. Oh the possibilities! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAdorable, cute, beautiful - it's all been said before and I'll have to say it again! Dress and girl are all of these!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful dress for a sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! Lucky your daughter! That is a sweet little girl dress. :)
ReplyDeleteHas she grown another few inches taller? She surely looks pretty in her new dress.. :)
ReplyDeleteGREAT dress! And the hydrangeas too. I really want to grow some.....might be the time! ---Amy @ butterfyangelsquilting.com

ReplyDeleteAnd kudos to the photographer on selecting a great backdrop - we planted a Limelight Hydrangea in June, and I am amazed at how huge and beautiful the blossoms are!
