Welcome to finish it up Friday!
I've kicked some quilting tail even though I have been traveling a lot this week. I still can't believe that I got these two quilted and the binding attached before I headed to Camp Stitch A Lot. It was just under the wire, of course! It's quite likely that by the time this post publishes that these bindings will be done! I hope to have these complete and ready to share early next week. Sorry for the teaser, but I didn't want to skip finish it up Friday this week! (There are not enough hours in the day!!!)
How about you? Do you have a finish to share? If so, please link up! Thanks for joining me for finish it up Friday!
I noticed your binding is on but you haven't trimmed the quilt yet...what are the advantages? I haven't seen that done before? I like concentric quilting on the solids quilt...looks interesting!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time..
ReplyDeleteLooks like a low volume I really want to see! I've had the itch and did a fabric pull last night. What to do tho'--do grays go with browns and tans??? How selective were you with your first low volume you made?
ReplyDeleteWhen I heard you would be teaching at Camp Stitchalot, I badly wanted to go! I couldn't but can't wait to hear about it. Am enjoying Brenda's up-to-the-minute IG posts about it. :)
ReplyDeleteDo you sew your binding on before you trim the quilt? I was wondering how that worked....is it ever an issue with things not matching up? Maybe not for you, but I know sometimes my edges are not always straight.
ReplyDeleteGosh your quilting looks wonderful. I hope your bindings went well and we get to see the big reveals soon. Have a great time at camp!
ReplyDeleteDitto on what Karen in the Badlands said about the binding. How about a post on that. N
ReplyDeleteI don't have a blog, but I do have a finish this week. This one was washed and dried this morning. Feels great to check this one off the list...it's headed to its owner!

Great teaser pic! I love the wavy line quilting on that bright quilt. Looking forward to the big reveal on each of those! Have a great time at camp!
ReplyDeleteAmanda Jean thank you so much for hosting the linky party. So loving the material in those quilts ....can't wait to see them fully. Thanks for sharing Marie (mlismore@optusnet.com.au)
ReplyDeleteno doubt you have completed these by now, will await to see full pics, they look so good. Must follow up some of your links to other blogs when I get a spare moment
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I've never seen binding on a quilt before it's been trimmed, is it easier that way? I've always trimmed first... having said that my binding never looks like that either ... there must be a few ways to do binding.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about Camp Stitch A Lot!
