S is for Stitch is written by Kristyne Czepuryk, who is the lovely and talented woman behind the blog Pretty By Hand. Her work is amazing! It's ALL so pretty and inspiring to me. I think she may love pink even more than I do!
I'm not normally an embroiderer, even though I have all the supplies. (Funny how that works, isn't it?) As a child I embroidered a few dish towels, but not much beyond that. It is a skill that I would like to have in my repertoire.
This book gave me the confidence to try my hand at it once again. My first project was to embroider this little kitty, which is one of the many patterns in the book. I am pretty excited with the results!
My kids saw me stitching and they all wanted to embroider something, too. (Even my boys!) They enjoyed paging through the book and picked out projects. I helped my 12 year old get started on the inch worm. He is doing a great job so far and he enjoyed it! The other two are still waiting for their first lesson. :)
After the success of my kitty, I had to try my hand at words. I wrote out the lyrics to soft kitty (from the Big Bang Theory) and stitched them up. (I have fun plans for these!) The words were a little tricky. Next time I would make the letters a bit larger and leave more space between some of them. But, all in all, not too bad.
Things I like about this book....
There are tons of cute patterns! A set for girls and a whole other set for boys. It's really hard to find good boy stuff, if you ask me. It totally passed the test with my boys.
Kristyne offers basic guidelines and options, then she encourages you to choose the method that works best for you. I love that! It's so much better than a rigid set of do's and don'ts.
The book is wonderful for beginners (that's me!) but I would imagine that it would be equally wonderful for a well experienced stitcher.
I love that the projects are stitched up into QUILTS! (A big shock there, huh?) Beyond that, there are other options shown: pillows, soft toys, clothing and framed pieces. So many fun ideas!
If you would like a chance to win your very own copy of the book, please leave me a comment in this post. In your comment, I'd love to hear your thoughts on embroidery, since that's the subject of the day. I'll pick one winner on April 4th. US resident winner will receive a hard copy of the book or an international resident will receive an eBook. Oh! Please be sure to leave your email in your comment, so I can contact you should you win.
Please be sure to follow along the tour for more chances to win.

I embroidered all the time when I was young. haven't done it in some time, but would love to get back to it. would be great for my quilt labels. Thanks for a great giveaway.
I'm a complete beginner, but I'd love to learn how to embroider. Thanks for the chance!
I am a complete embroidery newbie, but it is definitely something I want to learn more about. thanks for the giveaway!
I love the look of this book. I need some refreshers on embroidery for myself, it's been years since I tried it. I love your kitty and the words your embroidered. I hope we get to see what you make from it.
Embroidery was the first sewing I learned to do. I was a little girl and my grandmother taught me. I still like to embroider. That book looks fantastic and your soft kitty is adorable!!
I expect it to be a very cool book!
My mom taught me to embroidery when I was 6 and now I am almost 40, and I still use it, so, yes, I love embroidery.
talopezvigo@gmail.com
One of the things on my "to do" list is to put some embroidery on a quilt or two. Thanks for the chance!
I learned to embroider when I was young...my mom did beautiful tiny stitches...but then lost interest to many other crafts. A couple of years ago I started to incorporated some embroidery into my quilts. I really enjoy the process. Thanks for the chance to win this book.
I used to cross stitch a lot as a you girl, but never made it beyond that... Lately I've been trying to learn a few stitches for using on different projects. I'm just a beginner!
would love to win this book. I've been embroidering since I was 6..... this would be great! (dpren193@aol.com)
I love the little designs that have been shown. Looks like a great book!
Thanks for the opportunity. I would love to page through this and pick out projects with my kids! They are 7 and 9, and I think the 3 of us would be starting at the same level :)
I have been embroidering since I was a little girl. My grandmother taught me and I made lots of dish towels with her help. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love this! I'm a huge fan of The Big Bang Theory. I am going to have to steal this idea--hope you don't mind.
Hi,
Thanks for the chance to win !
My email is: countrymaison@gmail.com
thanks,
xEva
I follow her blog and have loved seeing her talk about her book. I would love to have it and learn to embroider. I think it looks so great on quilts. Thank you.
My only embroidery is the labels I put on my quilts. And I just make up how to do it, so it'd be interesting to learn some technique.
I feel like we have something in common. I embroidered as a kid and now I have the supplies and don't do it very often. I picked up the book this past weekend from the library and love it. My 7yo son loves to embroider. He wanted to make something from the book, so we decided on the pillow. He embroidered the dinosaur instead of the robot and I let him piece the pillow under my very watchful eye.
I love your kitty and the poem. Thanks for the chance to win.

I have made several quilts that include embroidery and have several to finish. I really enjoy stitching because it is portable and relaxing. This book looks adorable. Love the kitty! Thanks for the opportunity.
I just started to teach my self embroidery this winter. This book would be a great addition to my library!
I used to do embroidery and cross-stitch when I was young, and haven't done it in a long time. Your little cat really piqued my interest, though -- it looks completely doable, and I can see it being just the detail that makes a quilt extra-special. Thanks for the chance to win!
I embroidered for the first time for a Clover and Violet QAL and really enjoyed it. Since finishing the quilt, I've been so caught up in finishing UFOs that I've not done much. It was so relaxing, I need to start another project.
I've tried to embroider in the past, but things did not go well for me. I'd really like to get it right at some point!
I'd love to learn this art.
I love admiring other people's embroidered projects (your kitty creation is looking great!), but I don't think I'm very good at it!
Hand embroidery has been a passion of mine since 2005 - it was the first hobby/craft that I didn't tire of right away! :)
Embroidering by hand is something I've always wanted to try. I cross stitch and am already familiar with some of the stitches. And I love machine embroidery, so I should give hand a try sometime.
Oh no! now I will be singing that song all day long. LOL
My grandma taught me how to embroider. I have always enjoyed doing embroidery and now that I reading blogs there are so many fun designs that many share. I like to keep my hands busy while watching TV and embroidery is fun. thanks for a chance to win the book.
I love embroidery...my first (and so far only) quilt was a preprinted embroidery block it! All hand quilted as well. There's just something so great about working with your hands! My next project though is a traditional patchwork, I'm equally excited for that! -Emily (bnxampul412@gmail.com)
I love soft kitty. Go Penny.
My sisters both do beautiful embroidery. I, (the one with the most kids . . . . coincidence?) do not. I would love to pick it up again though and my girls would love to learn so this would get a lot of use in our house!
This book looks adorable! I'm mostly a cross stitcher, but want to do more embroidery.
I love this book. Would love to win it too. :) Thanks for the chance
When I was a child my mother taught me to do cross stitch. Embroidery and sewing keep my sanity.
Filiz.kaplan@gmail.com
I am a long-time knitter but I have recently discovered embroidery & cross stitch. I love it!
I am finding out that I love to Embroidery, nice to see a new book out. Would love a copy! Done a good bit on the Stitched in Color Medallion Quilt, found it very fun and portable.
I was looking for something to do in my "free" time and picked up embroidery. Having so much fun!
cwhelan at williamwoods dot edu
I love your kitty & song lyrics! Can't wait to see what you do with those! I did some embroidery as a kid but haven't really done much as an adult. I would love to really learn how to do it! My boys would also love to learn. It sounds like this would be a fun book to learn & teach my kids with! Thanks for the review & chance to win!
I have only just discovered embroidery so winning the book would be very helpful :)
I could certainly use an embroidery primer. I have all the stuff as well, but really only know a straight stitch and a back stitch.
That little kitten is too cute. Thank you for a chance to win.
I just started doing embroidery a few months ago. I love it!
I loved to embroider when I was a kid. I haven't done it in ages!!
I haven't embroidered in a very long time. I tend to be an 'instant gratification' project person. I got bogged down in some too-big embroidery projects a while back and got discouraged. These smaller patterns look just right for me! They would be cute to add in a corner on the backs of quilts - just for something fun and personal. BTW - Big Bang Theory is a fave around here. I can't wait to see what you do with the kitty and song. Too cute!!!
Nancy (gnlenhardt@juno.com)
I gave embroidery a go making a nametag for my husband's blanket (to take on the submarine). It was laughable and took me way longer than it probably should have, but his last name is legible. LOL.
The book sounds awesome, and I'd love to learn the "right" way instead of making it up as I go. ha.

Embroidery was my first experience with sewing as a little girl. I remember teaching myself the lazy dazy stitch and struggling with the french knot. I have not done much embroidery since I took up quilting, but I would love to start to incorporate it into my quilting!
I embroider 'off and on'...but this book is inspiring. Thanks for this chance to win it, it's lovely.
I absolutley LOVE the look and sweetness of embroidery, but it does scare me a bit because it looks so addicting! I would love to try it for myself.
jen(dot)piggybaby(at)gmail.com
I haven't done much embroidery since school but I'm starting to 're-discover' it!
Quilting and embroidery are my two favorite hobbies! I'd love to have this book as it marries the two!
What a cute book. I love that there is a boy section!
Love the lyrics idea, and of course now I have the song stuck in my head.
Embroidery is on my list of things to get good at. Right up there with knitting and apparel sewing. Now if only I could discipline myself to work in the cracks of my day so I had time to do any of it!
Embroidery has made a big comeback! I am learning to do more stitches. Kristyne's designs are always so cute! I am glad you are teaching your kids too. My e-mail is lkw2x6-apq@yahoo.com K-
I love to embroider -- always like to have a hand stitching project in progress -- its portable, and fills up those wasted waiting moments!! Thanks for the opportunity!
I haven't done much embroidery lately. I have a Christmas quilt started that has embroidered squares. My 13 year old granddaughter is starting to learn. She and I would be very excited to win the book. Thanks for the chance.
browne426@hotmail.com
I love embroidery and I have loved it since I was girl. I find it very relaxing. I'm really excited about Kristen's book. Thank you for the chance to win a copy.
I keep admiring Kristyne's book on her site, I am very jealous that it's not available over here.
Your kitty looks great - it would be one of my first ones to do and next the robot and that's just from looking at Pretty By Hand.
I love to embroider even though I haven't done much of it lately. I learned as a young girl and I have always enjoyed it. This book looks like a great resource to have.
My wonderful grandmother thought me to stitch, and I'm passing the passion to my grandchildren,,,this book would be a look much fun for all of us!!!
Cute, cute, cute!!! This book would help build my skills and confidence! :)
What a sweet book! Love the kitty you stitched! I just finished my first ever embroidery project last month and am hooked! It's the perfect project to bring to dance and piano and gymnastics while I'm waiting for my girls.
I recently embroidered a cat onto a quilt I made for my daughter - this book sounds like it would be right up my alley! Thanks for the chance!
I have just started doing hand work again and am loving it. I am hoping to add regular embroidery to my cross-stitch routine soon...just need some good instructions and it sounds like this book has it!
In college I embroidered a baby quilt top. It took me the better part of 18 months. I saved it and gave it to my now 17 month old son. :)
I like that the projects are small and portable. I'm all for things i can do while my son is awake. It's hard to use my embroidery machine while he's tearing through the house!
These little sets would make a great traveling project!
I was a cross-stitcher for many years, until quilting took over my creative life. Seeing the sweet designs in this book, though, I'm tempted to start a small embroidery project, something to work on in quiet moments.
Embroidery seems to be all over the internet these days and I would love to jump on the band wagon.
I have loved to embroider since I was a teenager. I'm so glad it's making a huge comeback. My daughter-in-law has gotten excited now about hand embroidery. It's so much prettier than machine embroidery.
Hallo ich liebe auch die Sachen von Kristyna und bin total begeisert von den Stickerein. Ich hüpfe in den Lostopf und hoffe dass ich gewinne.
Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland
Annerose
I would love to learn how to embroider! Thanks for the chance to win this fun book!
I love embroidery and think this would be a great book to have. I have not done as much embroidery as I would like to, I think it is because I am not very good at it. I need more practice and time.
I forgot my email address kogrady@lewiston.com
LOVE your little kitty! So glad to see you boys are intrested too, love went guys will try hand work! Thanks for the chance to win; grandmarockton6@yahoo.com
I did cross stich for my kids Christmas stockings this year, and I have embroidered their names on pillows. And that is the extent of it. I would love to learn more. I think it is beautiful and would love to do a wall hanging some day.
I've only done a little bit of embroidery, but it's very enjoyable. My girls sure love it and have done several little projects . . . it's perfect for them. Thanks for the chance.
I love embroidering while watching movies or TV. I am such a multi-tasker that it is great to accomplish a project and catch up on shows. Thanks for the chance at winning this great book!
Embroidery was my first craft... I miss it...
I think embroidery paired with quilting is 'da bomb'. I would really love to win this book.
I love embroidery!!! It's really relaxing to me! And I love your kitty! I've been thinking about making a pillow with that song for my daughter, it's how we used to sing her to sleep! Beautifully done! Thanks for the giveaway!
I love this book! Kristyne has an amazing talent for making cute!! I recently started a Crabapple Hill snowflakes and could use all the advice I could get!!
I did a quilt of embroidery blocks for my daughter last year and it's still my favorite. I'm ready to do another one. Love this book!
I love embroidery. I just wish I had more confidence in myself! And if the book has boys items, that would be great, because I have a boy wanting to try his hand at it also!!
I haven't done any embroidery since I was in grade school, but I'd love to try!
I love to do embroidery, I have done quite a lot of it since I was little. This book would be great.
I haven't embroidered for a long time but I have been thinking it would be a nice portable thing to do.
HI! I'VE BEEN DOING HAND EMBROIDERY SINCE I COULD WALK,I THINK! LOVE REDWORK,REGULAR EMBROIDERY+HARDANGER!
LOVE YOUR BLOG TOO!
THANKS FOR A NEAT GIVEAWAY BOOK!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
I'mnot one for hanging it on the wall, but I love embroidery as an accent on a larger project. Wouldn't that inchworm be cute on a boy's pant pocket?
I've always kind of thought embroidery was a bit old fashioned, probably because I remember seeing all of my mom's embroidered stuff. But I am loving all of the newer stuff that I have seen lately and so I might just actually give it a try!
lisamerkley at gmail dot com
Oh our kitty turned out so cute! I am just learning embroidery too. Like you I think it is good to have in my skill set. I am finding that I really enjoy it too. :)
Thanks for the chance to win a great book!
hiettfam at gmail dot com
I always wanted to learn how to embroider. We used to dabble in it a bit when I was younger but was never taught "properly". Your cat is so cute by the way. tiffanykaydesigns(at)yahoo(dot)com
I've never really done any embroidery. I made a cross stich pillow when I was a kid (and actually finished it, GASP!) I wouldn't call it embroidery, but it is as close as I get. I'm so sad though, I don't have the pillow anymore. I tossed it in a cleaning spree. Still shocked that I actually finished it!
I love to do any kind of hand work, especially embroidery. My lexicon of stitches is woefully small, though!
I have done a few embroidery projects. I love the look of it but often times lack the patience and time to sit down and do it. I would love a chance to use this book!
Your kitty looks great! I do a ton of cross stitching which I love for handwork, but I haven't done much embroidery in a while. Usually, I'll do some lettering in projects, but I'd love to do a red work project in the near future!
I love embroidery, but am definitely a beginner myself - having mostly only done doll faces. I have several patterns that I've saved to try some day (don't we all?). This book would help! And I LOVE that you used the lyrics from Penny's "soft kitty" song on Big Bang. What a great idea!

I absolutely NEED to stitch! Which is a bit weird, since I was only (re-) introduced to it two years ago by the amazing online class I found here: http://hugsnkisses.typepad.com/hugsfromhelen/2011/06/stitched-sunday.html Since then, however, I have been stitching non-stop. Love it! NEED it and adore the infinite possibilities! Have loads of fun, but make sure you have enough time left to quilt!
I just love to embroider. It's kind of like quilting in the fact that you get to make designs, pick colors, decide what stitch to use, etc. You end up with something handmade that's all you! This book looks fantastic and I'd love a copy.
Thank you for the wonderful review of this book - it looks AMAZING! I have been an avid needleworker for many years (mostly counted cross stitch), but recently have become fascinated with hand embroidery - it is such a wonderful way to embellish sewing and quilting!
It looks great. I'd love to learn.
I love that you chose "Soft Kitty" to stich...one of my fave shows is TBBT.
Embroidery goes beautifully with quilts, after all, hand quilting is running stich..which is an embroidery stitch.x
What a great book! embroidery provides the personal touches. My favorite way has been little handkerchief embroidery. Just a personal touch. But I'm really thinking the quilt embroidery is just fabulous!
Love this book! I seem to always have a needle either in my hand or at the machine, and embroidery is such a wonderful take-anywhere craft. It's also one of the most mindless, therefore relaxing, things I do.
I love how embroidery lets us capture a tiny snippet of whatever we love in life on fabric (Big Bang Theory, for example). Love it!
This book looks like so much fun! I'd love to try an embroidered quilt....
I'd really like to embroider, I've done it a little, but I usually don't last too long cuz I don't think I'm very good at it. Maybe this book would help me learn proper techniques! :)
Cross stitch was the very first thing I ever sewed, but embroidery came soon after, so it is close to my heart. Thanks for the opportunity to win this awesome book!
I love embroidery, but I haven't done much for a while. I've been dreaming of adding embroidery to a quilt, but haven't done it yet...
I have done a little embroidery but would like to learn more. I see a lot of embroidery in quilts and would like to try that. Thanks fr the chance to win the book.
I love embroidery- this book looks amazing! First time visiting your blog- I will be back!
I LOVE embroidery and can sit and stitch for hours! I can often forget about everything when I'm happily stitching away - including forgetting to make dinner, do the housework, do the ironing, walk the dog ........ :)
I love embroidery. I have many projects that I want to get to work on, but I tend to stick with quilting more than embroidery!
Embroidery is one of my favorite ways to relax in the evenings. I have stacks of muslins I've stitched, just waiting for a purpose. I'm excited for a book with new patterns and new projects. Thanks for the chance to enter.
I love embrodery, wish I did more of it. It seems the only time I sit down to do that is to put a name on a baby quilt or a Christmas stocking.
And omg, i love the kitty stiching you did!! LOVE that show.
Embroidery has been one of my most favorite things for over 40 years! I started embroidering what we called "work shirts" back in the 70s and have been stitching ever since. There is special relaxation zone you enter as you stitch. Plus it is so portable, you can take it anywhere you go!! This book looks like it is full of wonderful projects! Thanks for the chance to win!
sstaumcolelake@gmail.com
Looks so cute! I would love to have such a helpful guide.
My mother taught my sister and I how to do basic embroidery when we were around 5. I did some as a child but it wasnt' until I started sewing again that I want to do more embroidery. I love to add the embellishments that really stand out. However, I am somewhat limited in my imagination (and stitchery). I'd love to win this book as it appears to have what I am in need of. How to make and what to make!
I just recently finished my first embroidery project and loved it! I stitched center blocks for a quilt and added borders. So much fun! I've now got a couple other projects lined up because I had such a good time with that one.
I embroidered many years ago but would love to get back into it. Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy of this beautiful book!!!
how fun! I have all the supplies for embroidery but haven't picked them up in years. Maybe it's time!
I've always loved embroidery as it is the closest thing to drawing (which I can't do) that I can think of. I love that your children are joining you!
I have an embroidered flower quilt on my agenda. Perfect to do while watching tv.
lenesam@yahoo.com
I stitched as a kid. Then embroidery and cross stitch turned into knitting and crochet and that turned into quilting :-). Seeing books like this and all of Aneela Hoey's work makes me want to pick it back up!
I did a lot when I was younger..maybe I need to start again!
Ah, another BBT fan, I see. I can hardly wait to see where that embroidery ends up--I'm sure it will be completely fabulous!
I just started embroidering and sewing - love combining the two!
I love embroider! I just started learning how to embroider last year. It is now my favorite on-the-go hobby. It's so nice to have a project that is easy to carry with you where ever you go!
Just did some embroidery last night! And I am obsessed with the soft kitty song from BBT, love your embroidery...
My husband and I love the soft kitty song, Big Bang rules! Now all I need is the nook to copy your idea...
My husband and I love the soft kitty song, Big Bang rules! Now all I need is the nook to copy your idea...
Would love to embroider better. Linda. Gerig
I just finished my first ever embroidery project, which was only a simple label for a baby quilt. I had a lot of fun and am eager to try some of these cute designs! Thanks!
I love to personalize my quilts with a touch of embroidery.
I enjoy doing hand embroidery from time to time. We love the kitty song from BBT!
I'm a beginner at all this. Okay, maybe beginner doesn't even describe it. I'm a wanna-be beginner. :)
I'm not sure where to start, but I think this book would be a good place!
Thanks for sharing. I love your kitty. Super cute!!
I love to embroider - it is a relaxing thing to do and can be transported anywhere!
I love embroidery, have done it for years!
lisamcgriff (at) hotmail (dot) com
I am in my mid-50s and I have been embroidering since I was eight years old. My grandmother, who was born in 1893, taught me, and if my stitching was not as neat on the back as it was on the front, I'd have to take it out and redo it––that's the way I was taught. At the time I didn't like it, but now I see it was for the best. The good thing is I have my grandmother's sterling thimble she received when she became a teach (That was her graduation gift.)
I still love embroidery, along with crocheting and needlepoint. I'm so eager to read this book; thanks for the great giveaway!
I learned to embroider at a very young age. I still have a guest towel that I stitched a dinosaur on that has the words--"Don't be prehistoric, use it"! Love your kitty and the words to the song.
My embroidering experience is about as vast as yours, but I did cross stitch for years until I discovered quilting. Needless to say I have not cross-stitched since! I would love to win this book and see how the embroidering has been incorportated into quilts! Thank you for making this contest available to international readers; the ebook would be great, and no shipping charges!
Thanks again.
kcneiman (at) gmail (dot) com
I love to embroider, it's very therapeutic. I just finished a set of teacup blocks...will have to start looking for the next handwork project. Thanks! sewgood414athotmaildotcom
I always have loved embroidery and have recently gotten back into it. I added embroidered flower blocks to 2 baby quilts for my grand daughters- one 4.5 weeks and one due June 5- and a matching lap quilt for me. Fabricartqueen@yahoo.com
Every time I do a little bit of embroidery i really enjoy it and wish I did more, there just aren't enough hours in the day!
Oh, PLEASE pick me! I learned to embroider when I was ... 12? I honestly don't remember. My mom started my sisters and me one summer when it was that or pull her hair out. I've loved it ever since and am always looking for new lovely projects.
I love to do stitcheries. They are so quick and easy. Many years ago I used to do cross stitch but they take a long time and you have to really concentrate on them. Your little kitty is very cute.
I learned to embroider as a child, but have left it go to the side. I was thrilled when my teenager recently did several embroidery projects - she even allowed me to show her some stitches. This is big for a teen who knows or figures out everything on her own....lol
I love to embroider. My favorite quilt patterns involve piecing, applique and embroidery - like in the Bunny Hill patterns. I just finished my Merry, Merry Snowmen quilt top. The embroidery is something easy to take with me to a sewing day at friends or a quilt guild meeting. I also like to embroider at night during Bruins or Redsox games.
Have really been wanting to learn to embroider. This book might just be the inspiration I need to get started!
I have done some embroidery and would like to do some more. But, I wouldn't call myself experienced.
I had been following the tour so far. I had to laugh as soon as I read soft kitty, Big Bang Theory is a must see event in our house. Hubby is an IT man and I just about split my sides every time we watch an episode. I can't wait to see what you do with it. Thrilled to get a chance to win this book.
Before Quilting, I did embroidery -- started out with cross-stitch and moved up from there! I still have my floss but it hwas been ages since I've done any embroidery. Thanks for the chance!
I love hand stitching. It is my go to when I need a project.
It's a great travel companion. I would love to win this new book for a fresh look of new patterns.
I have embroidered since I was a kid--pot holders for mom and on our daughter's clothing at times. Now it's fun to add it to quilts picking up motifs from the fabrics. So many new, fun designers to give it endless possibilities for everyone! It's a craft that keeps growing with the times! This book has a sweet and useful look--hope I'm lucky enough to receive one.
I love embroidery, I haven't tried it yet, but it looks so pretty. Maybe this book, if I win it, will help me start.
Thanks for the chance to win.
PS, I love Sunday Morning Quilts. I have yet to make a scrappy quilt but I love looking at it for inspiration and eye candy
I haven't embroidered for years but it is something that is calming that can be done in front of the TV, this book looks like it will give me the encouragement to do some more!
I'm so impressed that your kids want to embroider. Embroidery is my go-to project when I'm waiting around (doctor's appointments, kids, airports, etc). It's the ultimate portable project.
Love the look of this book!
such lovely little patterns. I seriously struggle with lettering too. Lots of practice me thinks!
I love the look of it, but haven't done much. I have done a lot of cross-stitching, which feels safer :) Thanks for the giveaway!
My thoughts on embroidery...I want to learn to do more of this. The book looks fine. Maybe it will be my summer project to do more of it.
Thanks for the giveaway chances!!
I am like you. I have all the embroidery supplies, just in case. I made several projects in my younger days and would enjoy starting again.
As a young woman I embroidered a lot and still have lots of supplies. Now that I quilt, I think it would be great to combine the two! Thanks for the chance to win this terrific book!
Thanks, Amanda,
I, too, am a beginner and excited about including embroidery and the art of stitching in my sewing, quilting and knitting.
Love so many of the ideas presented in Kristyne's book...perfect for the easily intimidated! ;)
Jennifer
I just started to embroider again in the last few months. I too had not done it since I was a child. This book looks so nice!
I took up embroidery again a few years ago after a break of many, many years. I had forgotten how relaxing, almost zenlike it can be to sit and stitch. I just recently completed a project that's been in the works for a while and some other small projects as well.
Thanks for the chance to win the book!
I am not much into embroidery but my daughter is and my mother was. Love to have items that have embroidery on them.
I love to embroider! Your Soft Kitty embroidery is very cute.
Thanks for the giveaway chance!
Embroidery is a very quiet, calming experience that is perfect for the slowing down time before bed. Thanks for the chance to win this book! You are awesome. :)
My grandma and my mom taught me to embroider, many years ago. I haven't embroidered in ages... it would be fun to do it again!
I love to hand stitch and would adore this book please.
Embroidery - better than blood pressure medicine any day! I laughed out loud when I noticed all by myself that the kitty poem was from Big Bang Theory! :)
Embroidery adds such a personal, beautiful touch to any project. My grandmother gave my sister some embroidered animal quilt blocks (that her grandmother had stitched) and my sister made a few of them into a baby quilt for one of my daughters, and my mom and sister hand stitched the quilt. There is SO much meaning and LOVE and sentiment in that quilt . . . all because of embroidery and hand stitching!!
I embroidered some pillowcases when i was a kid. I'd love to re-learn embroidery.
I'm sure I learned most of the stitches at one point but I was more into cross-stitch.

Oh, I think my girls would love this. I could use some ideas of what to do with embroidery!
I am recently getting back into embroidery. I think the blog world has encouraged me and inspired me! This book looks wonderful. Simple choices that could graduate into exciting quilts. Thanks for the chance to win.
Embroidery alows me to to be out in the livingroom while my kids play, instead of chained to the sewing machine. Even my 4 year-old is starting to learn to backstich.
I love embroidery! Do tons of it. This book looks terrific

I love embroidery but don't know many stitches. I would love to learn more to be able to teach my granddaughter. This book looks realy nice. I love Kristyne.
It's one of those things I love looking at..not so confident at doing....but would love to improve upon that!
I love embroidery and cross stitch, too! Kristyne's book looks wonderful. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy! :)
Always love your work!
Thank you for the chance.
I've seen a lot of embroidery in the blogosphere, and am SO tempted. I was a cross-stitcher until I discovered quilting. Could go for a "meld!"
I just love to hand embroider, I have made several quilted wall hangings where I found ways to incorporate it. I started a crazy quilt several years ago that one day I hope I find time to return to!

i love embroidering!
Love embroidery but mostly do back stitch and simple flowers so keen to expand my repertoire with some good instructions!
I haven't embroidered since I was a teenager. I don't even remember how so I'd love the book as a refresher and to help jump start my sewing mojo (which seems to be lost). Thanks for the chance!
I am a total beginner that has a lot of the supplies too! I love the look of embroidery and am hoping to give it a go soon!
I love the handwork involved in embroidery...and I love Krystine's work...she is fabulous!

I'm new at it and just learning
I enjoy embroidery but having a two yr old and two month old I'm having a hard time finding the time. Kristyne rocks though. Everything she dies is amazing

I'd love to learn some new stitches! What fun (:
Growing up we/I did lots of embroidery - sisters and brother alike. Tea towels were generally the items to embroider; we used tea towels ALL the time and needed lots of them (no automatic dishwashers back then). I did other things as I got older but haven't done much for years. I want to start again and would love this book to give me a refresher on the stitches I learned and to teach me new ones. Of course, all the designs would be a plus!
I adore your kitty and would love to give this a go!
I would love to win this book. I am the wife to a minister. I go with him on a lot of his trips. I like to have hand work to do but don't always have a quilt or table runner to bind! This would be a fantastic opportunity to work on something for a quilt. My grandmother used to embroider, she made a quilt for me with lambs, kittens, chickens, puppies all embroidered by her which I treasure as she died thirty years ago! Thanks for the opportunity!
