I started this quilt on Wednesday and I finished it about 3 this afternoon. Yahoo!!! I was fueled by plenty of coffee and mountain dew. :) So much I could say about this one, but I'll just let the photos speak for themselves. One thing I do have to say is hurray for machine binding! I fell in love with it all over again today.
The quilt measures 60" x 72".
Happy HAPPY Monday to you!

Colourful and nice quilt :-)
your quilting makes me think I really need to learn FMQ after all. it's lovely.
Wow~! Very cool indeed!
Fantastic. Looks like a quilt in a quilt. Love the swirly machine quilting pattern.
great finish! I have the same machine, and the same solution to quilting a big quilt -- put it on a big table.
Stunning! I LOVE this - especially the quilting. Beautiful work. Now you've got me wanting to make one just like it!
I love it! The spiraly quilting, the patchwork rainbow...it is just beautiful.
I love that you've used a light grey for the background! A nice change from white!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Wow! You are really fast! Cool quilt, too! I have been frankensteining batting since Wednesday and am now attempting to piece a backing...
I am in awe!
Soooo cute! Love that number fabric. Congrats on a quick finish - feels good doesn't it?
wow, gorgeous!!!! You are one quilting machine, totally amazing!
Do you have a resource for the number's fabric? it's wonderful!!
I am speechless... your quilt is exceptional, absolutely beautiful. It's hard to believe that you quilted it with a sewing machine! Wowsers! I hope that I can pin it on my Quilt and Sew board to admire it again and again!
The concept of literal rainbows is growing on me and quilts like this one are definitely helping. I just love the overall design and your quilting is perfect on it!
Your quilt is amazing! You are so talented!
Orchard Cove Photography,
The numbers fabric is half of an IKEA duvet cover. I've had it in my stash for years! So glad I finally used it!
AJ
Love that stitching pattern!!!! I use that one a lot myself. I started doing it before I got the Sweet 16....used my Juki (like yours?) and it always went so well!! The results were great but I really like how you have applied it to a more contemporary look!! Stunning!!! Hugs, Doreen
Really pretty!
Wooohooo! It's awesome! I love those big numbers on the back, what a great addition. I finished a quilt today too, hurray for quilts!
The quilting on this is crazy awesome! You did it all yourself on your home machine? It is humongous! I love it!
This is such a fun and happy quilt!! I love your little swirly quilting pattern.
You had me the instant I saw the swirls.

Fantastically gorgeous from top to bottom and inside out!
Beautiful quilting and quilt. I find that the longer I spend on the quilting, the more I like machine binding.

hat's a lovely quilt! I wonder how you manage to quilt it on a regular sewing machine... I', working on my first quilt ever, inspired by your Stacked Coins Baby Quilt, and I'm about to go to que quilting part... I'm just not sure whether I should prewash the batting, and how am I going to quilt it on my sewing machine... :)
Gorgeous. I love the spiral quilting. I have been wanting to try that on one of mine -- done it on pillows and small quilts, but never one so large. Yours is lovely.
Love your quilt and quilting Amanda!!
I love the colours in this, and the backing is fantastic.
Cute! Love the swirly quilting! :)
Very cool quilt -- Yay for machine binding too!
OH my Gosh! I love it! love how you offset the blocks, love light grey-love the quilting.
that was a fast finish!
You've done it again! Fantastic! The quilting pattern is perfect! And thanks for posting the picture of your set up for quilting. I am about to move to the dining room table to quilt a larger quilt. I wish I had a table to drop my sewing machine down into particularly when quilting. BUT seeing how beautiful your quilting is with your machine set atop your table gives me a goal to aspire to! Thanks!
Another beauty Ms. Crazy! I love the backing too -- I tried to get some several years ago for backings but I was too late! ;-(
Oh my word!!! I love it,I am such a fan of the quilts you make and your blog is a daily read... but there is just too much of yours that I would like to do and I don't like having to decide which I should and which I don't have the time or fabric for - there's nothing for it.. I'll have to take a year off work :o)
how did I miss reading this... It is gorgeous! The quilting pattern is so cute! I need get more practice on that. The backing numbers fabric is super cute!! Is that from IKEA? I have always found challenge to machine quilt on a large quilt. Do you think longer table helps? :) have a great day~
Love the bight colours, love the number print fabric, love it, love it, love it!
I love everything about this quilt! From one machine quilter to another - your designs are perfection! You inspire me over and over...
WOW!! How long did it take you to quilt it? I LOVE the backing and I LOVE that the 'rainbow box' is off centre.
so beautiful! wow is right! Love it!
Love those spirals!! I've been wanting to try those and you're quilt just inspired it even more. I have to ask, what fabric is your backing? That is adorable! I'm making several baby/toddler quilts and that backing would be perfect of them! Please share! :)
Holy smokes! Gorgeous quilting you've done on that. Sigh...
I am amazed at your FMQ and realize, once again, that I just have to let go of having a long-arm! If you can do this on that little ole machine, I must give it a go! Thanks for the inspiration.
You've come a long way, baby! Beautiful work - all of it - well done!
Amanda!! What a wonderful, joyful quilt! A jewel to look at this morning, especially in contrast to the snow and grey day here in Colorado. And the quilting. I have been paralyzed about attempting swirly quilting a little thing and look at you go girl! Love how you combined the straight line and the swirls. As always, honored to know you and inspired by your creativity!!
This quilt is absolutely gorgeous! Great job on completing it so fast, you must feel so accomplished.
Amanda Jean,
WOW....I love the free motion quilting. I love the use of negative space. I love the colors and the cheerful combination. I love the backing material!!
This quilt is a winner!
Love your swirly quilting. Thanks for sharing a close up shot.
Stunning! I love it and I wish I could machine quilt like that.
Well wow it's beautiful and WOW that's fast! The grey is a great accent to make all of the other colours pop equally and I love the numbers backing!
Great quilt and nice quilting!
thanks for sharing your finish!
...and done SO well!! Another beautiful quilt! Thanks for sharing it!
Hi Amanda Jean,
I was just browsing the internet and came across this information about YOU on the Quilty site....
"Amanda Jean Nyberg is an author, designer, and blogger who practically quilts in her sleep. She is co-author of Sunday Morning Quilts (Stash Books, 2012). She can be found on the Web at www.CrazyMomQuilts.blogspot.com where you can read all about how she is living up to her blog name. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband and three kids."
I heartily agree that you practically "quilt in your sleep". You are becoming a celebrity. Congratulations!!
Gorgeous!!!! And amazing to think you, of all people, could finish on a Monday :) Congratulations!
You inspire me!! And I was worried I couldn't finish a quilt for my mother's anniversary (60) in May!! :)
Gorgeous- and way to use that Ikea duvet!
Amazing!!!
Love it with the IKEA duvet!!
Great quilting!
you are so creative Amanda! Someone is going to LOVE this! Janita
Wow! So gorgeous!!!
wow! amazing. And it can be done with a normal sewing machine!
Gorgeous! Love the colors!
Simply stunning!
May I ask how far apart the straight quilting lines are? I've been trying something similar but I think it's become too compacted and tight.
It's wonderful!! Congrats!
