trees!

I finished my trees quilt!
I LOVE it! (x 100!!!)
The pattern is done and available for purchase, if you are so inclined. :)

This pattern writing thing isn't a one woman job. I had plenty of help along the way and I'm so grateful!
A huge thank you to my neighbor Mary for helping me photograph this thing yesterday in the freezing cold!
Thank you to Beth for testing the measurements and providing such helpful feedback.
Thank you to Tara and Brianne for proofreading. On short notice, too.
Thank you to Allison for insight and tips on pattern writing and image quality.
And last but not least, a great big THANKS to all of you for your excitement and positive feedback on this pattern! It kept me going.

Now, on to the next project!
Happy Thursday!
xoxo
Amanda Jean

  6. I adore this quilt! I will definitely be buying the pattern. I love that you collaborated with Allison. Yours and her blogs were the first two blogs I discovered when I first wanted to learn to quilt and turned to the web for help. I have your book Sunday Morning Quilts and will buy her new book, but wouldn't it be cool if you two did a book together? It would be a dream come true for me!

  11. I love this!!! There are so many variations on trees and this one is extra zesty. It gives you the chance to use value-play because the trees' background is seen through the trees. Does that make sense, lol? It's beautiful!!!

  20. Love the trees, always been a big tree fan and moved to CA to live near the Giant Redwoods. May have to make this quilt or a similar one to honor those magnificent beings.

  35. Very nice! I really like the colors you chose! :)

Random question: I know you have lots and lots of fabric. When you buy stuff, do you buy fabric in fat quarter bundles or do you purchase yardage?

  36. Oh, AmandaJean, this is just so scrumptious. You have a beautiful way with color as well as with design. I could just sit and look at this for the whole evening ....(well, if I didn't have to run and start the dinner, that is......SHUCKS !)
