I finished my trees quilt!
I LOVE it! (x 100!!!)
The pattern is done and available for purchase, if you are so inclined. :)
This pattern writing thing isn't a one woman job. I had plenty of help along the way and I'm so grateful!
A huge thank you to my neighbor Mary for helping me photograph this thing yesterday in the freezing cold!
Thank you to Beth for testing the measurements and providing such helpful feedback.
Thank you to Tara and Brianne for proofreading. On short notice, too.
Thank you to Allison for insight and tips on pattern writing and image quality.
And last but not least, a great big THANKS to all of you for your excitement and positive feedback on this pattern! It kept me going.
Now, on to the next project!
Happy Thursday!
xoxo

ReplyDeleteLooks so great in the snow.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice one!
ReplyDeleteI adore this quilt! I will definitely be buying the pattern. I love that you collaborated with Allison. Yours and her blogs were the first two blogs I discovered when I first wanted to learn to quilt and turned to the web for help. I have your book Sunday Morning Quilts and will buy her new book, but wouldn't it be cool if you two did a book together? It would be a dream come true for me!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely quilt! I really like your style!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to buy this pattern. I absolutely LOVE it! It is beautiful and just makes me smile.

ReplyDeleteAwsome!!
ReplyDeleteI love this!!! There are so many variations on trees and this one is extra zesty. It gives you the chance to use value-play because the trees' background is seen through the trees. Does that make sense, lol? It's beautiful!!!
ReplyDeletecongrats on another winner. ;)
ReplyDeleteHave just purchased it & this is actually the first quilt pattern I have purchased that isnt from a book!

Great job... I've been waiting on the pattern and just bought it. It's the perfect xmas quilt - big, bold, and whimsical.
ReplyDeleteLove the trees, always been a big tree fan and moved to CA to live near the Giant Redwoods. May have to make this quilt or a similar one to honor those magnificent beings.
ReplyDeleteIt's just delightful, there's something so cheerful and uplifting about it :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, it's charming! Hmmm, I'm thinking of my strip-scraps drawer...
ReplyDeleteI love those trees!!! What a fun quilt.
ReplyDeleteI hope to see a forest of trees popping up in your group!
ReplyDeleteYippee! I have been patiently waiting for this pattern!!! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! What a great finish!
ReplyDeleteThose ice cream colored fabrics are just plain yummy!
ReplyDeleteDitto!,

ReplyDeleteIt turned out great! I can't imagine writing quilt patterns all the time. I've done about...one. You are so very talented!
ReplyDeleteI might have to add this one to the potential Christmas quilt list!
ReplyDeleteLOVE!!!! Doesn't it feel good to have it done!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteCarmen took my comment. I guess it wasn't very original, but it was heartfelt!
ReplyDeleteLove this one, well done. I am busy working on a Pezzy Churn Dash Block quilt .... thank you for the inspiration. Hugs
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I really like the colors you chose! :)
ReplyDeleteRandom question: I know you have lots and lots of fabric. When you buy stuff, do you buy fabric in fat quarter bundles or do you purchase yardage?
Oh, AmandaJean, this is just so scrumptious. You have a beautiful way with color as well as with design. I could just sit and look at this for the whole evening ....(well, if I didn't have to run and start the dinner, that is......SHUCKS !)
ReplyDeleteI will absolutely be making this quilt this year! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the binding! and it washed up nice. . . you have washed it, haven't you?
