This is a little quilt I'm calling 'lazy zig zag'.
Just a few more rows to go!
The fabric is a posy layer cake by Moda and a few grey fat quarters.
It's fun to be playing with fabric that reminds me of spring.
I'm so ready for it!
Even if it is still only January. :)
Lazy Zig Zag. Great name. I love working with colors right before the season comes in. Makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteI like your new pattern, simple yet effective! I also like to use the colors that match the season. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove that dark stripe in the middle of the pastel blocks.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is looking great.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhh I really love this quilt
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Amanda, feels so different for you :-)
ReplyDeleteReminds me of those chevron afghans. Don't you think so?
ReplyDeleteAdam agrees with you. This morning he said, "I can't wait for summer."
Cute!!
ReplyDeleteHope spring will be here tomorrow! It has been a cold winter so far for us. I love your purple prints.. I need some.. ... :) The dark print created the zig-zag is really interesting. Lately, I have try to work with solids and prints together. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! That is one sharp quilt! Judging from other comments, we are all in need of some sunshine vitamin D and green grass! Blessings......
ReplyDeleteLove this! Love the name too :-)
ReplyDeleteI bought some yellow, lavender, and pink yarn yesterday, going to make myself a spring table runner
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pattern. Love the colors. Your designs are always amazing.
ReplyDeleteLove it!! You have got to slow down, though...my bucket list of quilty ideas is getting much too long ;-))))
ReplyDeleteIt's so lovely!
ReplyDeleteSweet! I'm on the look out for some yellow gingham or check about 3/4 of an inch or so. It maybe a totally imaginary fabric, but I need it for a spring thing.
ReplyDeleteI need to lock myself up in my sewing room to play. even though there are no windows in there, the fabric makes me feel like there is sunshine around. I like what you did with the zigzags. Of course, I'm trying to figure out how you did it. I have my theories, you know. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your lazy zig zag, so bright and cheery, just what we need in the middle of these winter blahs...
ReplyDeleteAmanda
i love it! great way to showcase some fave fabrics
ReplyDeleteLove that skinny grey zig zag!
ReplyDeleteIt has purple, ok lavender, in it. Are you sure it's something you're making, or has someone else taken over Amanda Jean's body?
