giveaway

Today I'm pleased to be hosting a little fabric giveaway, courtesy of Pat Bravo.
Up for grabs are two different bundles...(10 fat quarters each) in some of my favorite colors ever!
Aren't they so pretty? I know from experience that Art Gallery fabrics are super soft and great to work with!

If you would like to be in the drawing, please leave me a comment. One per person please. In your comment, I'd love to hear if you have any New Year's eve plans. Or else you can tell me something you are looking forward to next year. I'll plan to pick two winners on Monday.

I'd like to take the time to say a big THANK YOU to each and every one of you for reading my little blog, leaving such wonderful comments and for all your encouragement this past year. I appreciate it very, very much! xoxo

Hope you have a wonderful and safe New Year's!

I would love that green bundle for the quilt for the master bedroom I have been meaning to start...greens and grays!

New Years Eve we always do the same thing. Since we have three small children, we stay home, play classic Nintendo games (NES!) and order pizza. Then we go to bed at 12:01. Ha. :) Thanks for the giveaway!

Your blog is so inspiring. I'm hoping to tackle many of your tutorials in 2012. We are spending New Years with old friends and their new baby!

OOOOHHHHHH! Lovely bundles.

I used to have one New Year's Eve rule...that I don't cook dinner, so we would go out even if it was only to a diner. But with the little ones now, we just stay home. Instead of dinner out, we get a bunch of munchies like mozzerrella sticks and potato sticks and stay up only as long as we are able. I know, not exciting, but when we rarely get a full night's sleep the "party" dies out early.

My mom, siblings and all their families will be here on New Year's Day to celebrate Christmas.

In the new year I look forward to finding the time to do a lot more sewing. I have so many projects in various stages and there has been little time to work on any of them. I hope I have a lot of things crossed off my To Do list before the next New Year's Eve,

I am awaiting the arrival of my new-to-me sewing machine. So, my New Years Eve will be spent lining-up projects for my new machine. I will also be celebrating with my kiddos, toasting-in the new year with sparkling cider. My goals for 2012 are mainly to bust my stash, which is comprised of several fabrics given to me by people cleaning out their basements. It's fun to see what I can create out of things bought by people who never knew each other. I also plan to make a gameboard quilt with a friend. I could really use some greens for the twister board. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Love the green colored bundle! Our son was born 3 months early - weighed 1 pound 13 oz - last Nov. I wanted to make him a quilt during my pregnancy, but with his early arrival, and the 99 days in the NICU, plus all the doctor's appointment this past year I have not had the time to make a quilt. Hopefully, this next year I can get one done. Our son, Jackson, is doing great. He is a whopping 18 pounds now and so precious. Would love the green bundle -- those are the perfect colors for his room decor. Love your quilts and blog! Happy New Year, too!

Since my New Year's resolutions have a way of falling by the wayside, I have given myself a more concrete goal this year:
Instead of saying I will "get in shape", I am going to train for a 5K Race in May - hopefully, that will give me the added motivation to follow through!

I enjoy your blog very much and look foward to all of your creative ideas and just barely keeping up with you. You have a lot of energy. Good for you. My husband and myself will be enjoying a crab salad with french bread for dinner. I will enjoy a glass of Arbour Mist Strawberry White Zin and he will enjoy 2 beers. Will eat and be merry and watch tv. It's safe and we can't get into any trouble. Your giveway will make a wonderful quilt for welcoming 2012. Thank you and Happy New Year.

For me it's the time of year to purge and reorganize. I don't spring clean -- don't see the point with kids running in & out all summer long -- but I do a thorough cleaning in late fall and then I finish up after the holidays by getting rid of all those things we don't like or use anymore. It's nice to have a refreshed home in the midst of winter. And, after the holidays, I'm happy to have a slower pace -- more time to play with the kids and sew. :-)

I just want to say thank you, Amanda Jean, for giving us all so much inspiration thru your blog. Best wishes to you and your family for a happy and prosperous New Year!

Sincerely,
Heather B.

Oh, first of all, THANKS for the chance to grab up some of these gorgeous fabrics.

I also am looking forward to my husband's retirement that MAY be happening this year.

Happy New Year to you!

We plan on a quiet New Year's Eve. All energy will be needed to organize my sewing 'stuff' in the new year. LOL Happy New Year!

Caroline said...

We have no New Year's Eve plans. I am so tired from the last month of constant sewing that I think I'm going to go to bed early.

One of the things I look forward to the most about this next year was actually inspired by your "Finish it Up Friday" posts. I went through and made a list of all of the projects, sewing or otherwise, that I have started and never finished. There were a TON. My goal is to cross off all of the current projects. I look forward to the day when I can announce on my blog that they are, in fact, all finished! That will be quite the Finish it Up Friday post! :D

Beautiful colors!
I just moved to San Francisco a few months ago (from MS), and my younger brother was planning to come for a visit to celebrate the New Year... sadly, my grandmother passed away unexpectedly, so I will be spending New Year's Eve on a plane to attend her funeral.

I'm planning on staying home for New Year's and trying to get healthy. I just came down with my son's cold. But, I am looking forward to getting my first really good sewing machine (a Janome) next week, as a late Christmas present.
