giveaway

Today I'm pleased to be hosting a little fabric giveaway, courtesy of Pat Bravo.
Up for grabs are two different bundles...(10 fat quarters each) in some of my favorite colors ever!
Aren't they so pretty? I know from experience that Art Gallery fabrics are super soft and great to work with!

If you would like to be in the drawing, please leave me a comment. One per person please. In your comment, I'd love to hear if you have any New Year's eve plans. Or else you can tell me something you are looking forward to next year. I'll plan to pick two winners on Monday.

I'd like to take the time to say a big THANK YOU to each and every one of you for reading my little blog, leaving such wonderful comments and for all your encouragement this past year. I appreciate it very, very much! xoxo

Hope you have a wonderful and safe New Year's!

Staying home with DH. He goes to bed at 7pm with his heart issues so I won't be attending any gatherings. I don't think it would be proper for me to be out gallavanting around town without him there. So just enjoying the time alone, perhaps I'll curl up with the book "The Postmistress" I picked up at the Library.
Happy New Year!

I love little A's abstract quilt, it's beautiful!

As I'm living on the other side of the world, the new year has already started. But I can tell you what we did on New Year's eve; as I have the kids home (including their friends) we had Raclette (a Swiss cheese dish) and afterward the young people went to a beach party, while we watched the fire works from our balcony. Thanks for hosting such a lovely give away. Happy New Year.

Recently found a new interest in reading quilting blogs ... and I love yours!

We spent NYE eating a nice dinner, enjoying a bottle of champagne and going to bed around 9:30. I guess that is what happens when you have an 8 month old!

My new year's plans were to not kill the toddler for teething. He woke up and nursed for 1.5 hours around 4am. Tired!! :)

My actual plans are to get the border on a quilt and make the backing. Maybe pin, but that might be a little too much in one day, it's queen sized.

Drooling over the green fabric pack! :)

Who! I would love to put those into a beautiful quilt this year. We don't do anything out on New Year's eve. We find it safer and we just bring in the new year, reflect and go to bed......I plan to do more decluttering and organizing this year. And lot's more quilts! Thanks for the chance.

For NYE we had a family get together, it was the first time in about 10 years that my husband and his 3 brothers have been able to be in the one place to celebrate NYE together, for 2012 my plans are to work on some of the projects that are on my 'to do' list

Ann said...

I love Pat Bravo wonderful fabrics!!! What a brilliant giveaway :)

I hope to be able to look forward to a period of less hours in my otherwise full-time job. I know the amount of work will decrease in spring/early summer and I have suggested to have less hours for that period and focus a little more on my 2-year-old and perhaps even get more sewing done (yay!). We will see!

Thanks for all of the quilting inspiration I get from you and your site. I hadn't quilted in several years and your site inspired me to get back to it and I couldn't be happier about that. Thanks!

For new years's eve we had a quiet evening at home. We all have a 3 day flu bug here so it's been an interesting last day of 2011/first day of 2012!

I have a couple of projects that I need to work on yet this winter. One being to hand card and spindle spin 2 pounds of alpaca fiber for a sweater. Maybe I'll even get to the knitting before spring! I'm also going to work on quilting my queen-size quilt, once I finish appliqueing the vine.
Once spring comes we need to fence in the field for our alpacas. Beyond that....I don't know what we have planned. Whatever the Lord wills!

I'm looking forward to putting behind me the toughest year of my life, but yet am still grateful for the wonderful friendships and family that have brought me through. Those relationships I plan on continuing to develop and nurture this new year and will try to show my love and appreciation by making gifts specific to them as I feel inspired and as needed. Each will be made with much thought and love. I also plan on making this year, the year of living and embracing life as last year was not. Celebrate each day with family and friends and try to pull only the good from it. Finishing things I love and deciding its okay to say goodbye to those things that don't mean as much to me and not waste time on projects that have no love for me. This year is for celebrating creation and life and love in all its forms.

My New Year's Resolution is to finish any project started in 2012 - meaning quilted, bound and labeled. No new UFO's!

I just wrote down my goals for 2012, and look forward to working on those! Sewing, photography, journaling and genealogy are some of the things I want to accomplish this year! Love your inspiring quilt blog!

We stayed at home, watched a movie and ate homemade cheese ball and crackers. Just a fun, relaxing evening to welcome in the New Year!

Not too long ago I do patchwork, and my next is a super proyesto quilt for each of my children (I have three). A kiss and happy new year.

Love the colours! We went to a benefit party for Children's Wish Foundation, to send a family to Disney World :) I think there were 600 people there!

I have been teaching a lot lately and I really hope to have more time to either design some new quilts or finish some of my ufo's.

We are enjoying Mérida this holiday. We spent New Year's Eve at a restaurant - close to the hour the musicians had open mic time for people to share good wishes. The waiters brought champagne and little bags of 12 grapes each - there was a balloon drop and hugs and kisses. I was glad to share the evening with my husband and son.

In 2012 I will continue and expand my quilting so I actually have a few bedsized quilts and some baby quilts for friends too!

I hope I'm not too late!!! We stayed home New Year's Eve and had neighbors over to have homemade pizzas. We do this every year. :)

For new year's eve, it was my girlfriend's birthday. We enjoyed each others company. She loved the Wizard of Oz themed gifts and all that she received.
