I used Lite Steam a Seam 2 (which came highly recommended by Carol) to adhere the circles. I would agree, it's a great product.
I stippled the whole thing, then I outlined the circles with additional quilting for stability.
For the back and the binding I used more polka dots because I LOVE them.
It measures 17" x 19".
In other news, these are the scraps that I received from Tammy today in the mail for my scrap challenge. She's really on the ball! I love that. My ideas are percolating already.
And the last thing for today...I recently learned how to knit little bitty baby booties from an elderly friend of mine. These went to one of my sisters, who is expecting her second little boy in a few months.

Look how little they are!
They are so fun! Plus, they are a great way to use up some of those yarn odds and ends.

I love this little quilt. I'm very much obsessed with mini/doll quilts now and can't get enough of them!
the booties are too cool!
love the quilt!!!! (and the booties too for that matter)
I started conditioning my daughter to like hello kitty from birth, but like you said, it didn't take too much convincing. Would love to know what this fabric is called so I can find it. I see a hello kitty quilt in the very near future. . . . . I really like how you did the circles, it looks really nice!! I am new at this blogging thing, but am a huge fan of yours, I check for new things daily . . . . . okay, a couple times a day so I don't miss something. :)
Thanks for your dedication, it is encouraging and truly inspirational! <3
Cute quilt! The booties are adorable.
That quilt is so adorable. I'm going to have to tell my 3 1/2-year-old granddaughter how fabulous Hello Kitty is. And then make her a quilt. Uh, maybe I should locate the fabric first, and THEN talk to her. That kid has a memory like a steel trap.
My daughter and I are gushing over the hellokitty mini, too! Love the baby booties - you're so multi-talented.
Adorable! I'd love to know where to find the fabric. I grew up with Hello Kitty (My mom is Japanese and we lived in Japan and Okinawa when I was a kid) so I've always been a big fan. My sewing room is all done up in Hello Kitty (and my blog is too). One of my girls loves HK and the other one could take it or leave it. The nerve.
That's a whole load of cuteness! I'm not sure what it is about circles, but they are so happy every time I see them on a quilt. And those baby booties! Both are such great ways to use up extra bits - just what's needed to reduce the stash :)
Such a cute quilt! And your toes look good too!
Eeeek! That Hello Kitty is SOOO cute! And those booties. You're a bad influence!
I think Japan specializes in cute.
...but so do you. I just love the colors in this quilt. :)
The mini is just too sweet. And the booties, oh man.
very curious to see what you do with those scraps...can't wait.
The fabrics in your little girl's quilt look great together. The Hello Kitty fabric looks to be somewhat magenta (?), which makes it stand out. Very nice.
I'm sure you'll turn out something fabulous with those scraps--wish they were mine!
Mini's are awesome! Yours is no exception!
CUTE!! My daughter is having a Hello Kitty themed birthday party this year. I've been having a fun time hunting down HK things for the kids goody bags. And those knitted booties... to die for! So cute!!
Hello kitty is adorable! I think everyone love Hello Kitty! Too cute!
look at you knitter!
I *love* the booties! I think I may need to learn to knit those...I have a grandson (and a grandbaby on the way) that would appreciate them *so* much! :)
Please, please bring the bootie instruction to Grand Rapids with you! [I'll see you there.]
I have a Recipe for baby sox, but not booties. That's how I use up the leftovers from my adult-sized sox.
cute kitty circles! ;-) gotta love hello Kitty. we have a Hello Kitty store 4 blocks from our house. so fun to go look through even though B has outgrown hello kitty. :-(
hello kitty is cute but those booties are cuter

I can't wait to see what you will do with all of those scraps, too.
I just think your Kitty Mini is lovely and the Baby botties are just so cute.
Very nice doll quilt, great design, the babys boots are so cute, they will keep warm the babies feet.
Hugs
Look at you!!! Steam a seam? Good girl! Pretty soon you'll be buying it by the yard like I do. I bet I know a nice dolly who'll be using that pretty circle quilt real soon!
Love the quiltie...ADORE the booties!
LOVE the Hello Kitty quilt! And swooning over the itty bitty booties! (Starts making me want another baby!)
CUTE Slippers! Great job on the knitting!
I bought my 10 year old the Hello Kitty sewing machine b/c I wanted it. She is not into HK, but her 5 year old sister is looking forward to inheriting it in a few years. Love the HK quilt!
Fabulous projects! Those booties are precious.
so very cute!! i LOVE hello kitty!!
Better not let my 6 year old daughter see this, she's a big hello kitty fan!! I love the circle frame layout!!
Cute quilt and cute toes! I knew they were yours when I saw your photo in flickr.
I think Hello Kitty is adorable and that's so funny that you're trying to force your daughter into liking her.
I forced my daughter to like hello kitty too. Made it seem less odd that I would buy hello kitty stuff for me if I pretended it was for her ;) LOVE that mini quilt.
I first thought you said the booties were FOR an elderly friend..and got confused..surely she would be passed her prime baby making years?, but then I read properly.
I'm a bit simple sometimes (most of the time...)
You are amazing. Your creativity never fails to inspire me. I am so glad you're back. And I love the mini quilt!!!
Kitty quilt is great. I'm NOT showing it to my girls though. They'll all want one and I have too many UFO's as it is. :)
I never cared for Hello Kitty and I do love the little quilt you made!
And the booties - cute!
That quilt is so adorable...love it. My daughter who is 34 loved/ still loves Hello Kitty. Thanks for the post.

Would you share the instructions for the booties?
I am sooo glad you are back! Whenever I am feeling down, I just click on your blog and there is always something to cheer me up! Silly, booties are little 'cause babies are too! Last time I tried making booties I ended up with one baby sized and one big foot sized! Your Hello Kitty quilt is cute! My youngest granddaughter loves dots too! Thanks!
Such a cute pink and orange quilt! The booties are so adorable too! I love Hello Kitty so much she is on my sewing machine in sticker form! My daughter loves her too so yeah!
I'll wait and see what you'll do with those great scraps! This would make a great swap idea on flickr!
Those little booties just melt my heart! Yes they do!
I love, love, love the Absolute Kitty Mini!!!
Oh I love the mini quilt, and the booties too for that matter! Great idea for using up excess yarn, I seem to have alot!
oooooh - love that little quilt - so cute. Thanks for the tip on adhering the circles too.
Absolutely darling. I 've always loved hello kitty myself!
I have been so tempted to buy myself a hello kitty sewing machine! I love your little Hello Kitty quiltlette! It is just adorable!
Love the little doll quilt! Very cute!
Love that Hello Kitty mini quilt! So cute! I would make it for my daughter and secretly want it for myself.
The quilt is cute, but the little booties are to die for!! I have two new grandbabies that will need foot-covering this winter ... will you please please please share the pattern? :-)
LOVE the Hello Kitty quilt. I have a bunch of Hello Kitty fabric from when we went through that phase. My youngest girl is 10 now, so not much caring in that dept now. But I do have a niece on the way. Hmmm . . . brain spinning now.
Wow, I wish I had the patience and skill to create quilts like you. I've been gardening a lot, and I guess there are actually some similarities...so maybe down the line I can jump in to my first quilt.
Hello Hello Kitty! The fabric gets whipped up into something so very, very, very cute! (And cute toe modeling too). Love it. Thank you Rene, right?
What a cute little blanket for your daughter. The circles have caught on, huh?
