I've finished up 3 quilts in the past week, so it's time to start some new ones! Hurray! These blocks are for a block of the month that Anina is hosting.
Oh, this is so cute! I love your colors! I am sad that I missed the first month- I may not do the quilt, but the paper-piecing foundations are nice to have! ~ Jennie
Your blocks look so great!! I am also working on this project. This is my first time working with triangles and paper piecing and I am loving it so far!! I am not so sure I could handle triangles without the paper piecing though!! :) Anyway if you want to peek at some of my blocks from last month, I have them here:
Hi Amanda, I sewed a pair of mittens today!! I thought I'd cheer myself up since the snow has decided to visit us one last time (I hope it's the last). I LOVE your Hopscotch Baby Quilt. Love those "crooked" squares. So relaxed and fun! Love you, too : )
i LOVE your scrappy style. I have been searching for the perfect pattern to use a huge stash of Sandi Henderson's Farmers Market line. Do you have any suggestions. I thought I wanted to do the stacked coins but got it all laid out and am not so happy with it...
Yay! New quilts! This one looks wonderful. And you know, I've enjoyed the tiny bit of paper piecing that I've done too...it's different but sometimes that's fun!
How cute!! I find paper pieceing addictive, too! I found out about this BOM too late and I don't really have time to start it now anyway...so I'll just sit back and watch yours grow! ~Jessica
you have been busy! spiderweb looks great! yay for getting rid of the wallpaper. the swell quilt is better than swell. so glad susan is helping you name things - she has a knack. and the pinks and oranges look great in that quilt. and paper piecing? you are my hero.
Love your blocks. I'm working on this project also and have been fussing about whether or not I've done the right thing by not making everything green. You have made me feel so much better with your beautiful colors. Isn't this a fun project.
I love the colours you chose... this design from Anina in definitely on my list of "to do someday" whenever I will be friends with my sewing machinw (at this point we still do not work well together hehe). I am sure it will turn out as beautiful as all the quilts you do. Love
Looking good! I don't think I would enjoy the flying geese, though, besides, my printer isn't working. I go for much simpler patterns that go together faster, lol.
Looks great! I love the tiny ones, they look like candy. I can't do paper piecing as a hand sewer, it cuts off all my knots! But I still make geese the sew and flip way. I've got a cute geese quilt on my blog, under Lydia's quilt if you want to see.
I have plans to start my next bunch of block today! I'm doing a xmas color solid first but I have plans to make a Kaffe colored model too! The pink and green look fantastic!
I have been following your blog for a few weeks now and am loving it! I am the mother of five, and had not done much quilting for a while, except to try to start one for each of my kids when they were born (usually finished about age 6!), #4's is still in progress and I haven't started #5's, sigh.
I looked online for the batting you recommend, and thought you might like to know that it is on sale online at Joann.com, for about $5.00 a yard, and there is also a 10% coupon you can use at checkout (SGD073), so even with shipping, this is a great deal!! Keep up the great show and tell. I love it.
P.S. In part due to your inspiration, I pieced and started machine quilting one for a friend, all within the last two weeks. Yay!!
This is going to be a beautiful quilt! Thank-you so much for commenting on my blog..I was so surprised and honored getting one from you!! Jill :o) P.S...I finished the quilt today and blogged it!
i found learning paper piecing very challenging, but thankfully i had a friend teach me. i think learning from a friend was the only way i would have figured it out. maybe you can find a class at a local quilt shop that would teach it? or maybe you have a friend that quilts that could teach you? those would be my top suggestions. hope that helps!

Are you using the paper piecing method on the twiddletails website or another? I have never done it and find it hard to follow. Suggestions???
