that's better

Now this doll quilt, I love.
Made from pink scraps.
It measures 14.5" x 18.5".
Quilting inspired by My Aunt June.

I love being able to start and finish a quilt all in one day.
And using up scraps-even better.

That's really cute! You've just given me ANOTHER idea as to what I can make my little girl for her birthday!! Oh, I finally did some machine stippling... and it worked!! Thanks for your help ages ago, and for inspiring me to try it out!!! http://farmyardcrafts.blogspot.com/2009/01/im-hard-to-impress.html

Just leaving you a note to tell you how much you have me addicted to reading other quilt blogs that you post, which links me to even MORE blogs and ideas. argh!! There's just so much beautiful and talented people out there! Your doll quilts are really cute, I think I may have to try a few and send them off to my little nieces. I need to figure out how big "American Girl" dolls are first.

Just got back from a fabric sale (3.70 per meter!) and am perusing all of these blogs for ideas. I have bought pinks, and I don't even have girls! I have my husband worried *LOL*

Hope you're having a fantastic week! -a

Very inspiring. A smaller quilt wouldn't be quite as daunting as a larger one. Beautiful!!

Just wanted to applaud you for trying new things out in your quilting: I find it quite inspirational to see others' experiments, and it sets off so many ideas about what I might want to try that might be out of my comfort zone, which is always a good thing. I love following your blog, as I love your sense of style. I really enjoy making baby blankets for the same reason you love doll quilts: small, self-limited projects that will turn out to be very useful for someone; good time to try new things! :)

I love that one too, beautiful piece. You are tempting me to make some small quilts. I do have some cat dolls I made, one of them could use a quilt;)

This little quilt is so cute and the best part (as many others who have commented said)is the quilting. I am going to try that on a table runner I just finished last night. Thanks for the great idea.

How fun. Your daughter may need more baby dolls soon.

Aunt Jane's how to video was entertaining and helpful. I may have to give this a try...since I'll likely never master stippling.

I really need to make some of these for my daughter, with a pillow from your great tutorial. She uses our dish towels to cover her babies up. it is so funny to see them all over the house.
I love this one, must be the pink!

LOVE the border! This would make a gorgeous BIG quilt.

So pretty! I remember a few years ago reading an article in a quilting magazine...this talented quilter had made so many in her lifetime. She said there were so many patterns she wanted to try yet knew she wouldn't ever be able to make them all, that's when she decided to make mini quilts. They were just beautiful and she got to exceed her dream of making so many different patterns. Heather

Hey! I finally gotten around to make a doll quilt... Really, my daughter got me started - last friday she went to my favorite fabric shoppe with me as I only needed one or two yards of Moda's brown fabric but I ended up letting her pick a few fat quarters - Moda's candy kisses line. I made it. I love it. check out http://holtgallery.wordpress.com/2009/02/15/doll-quilt/
Little bigger, about 17 x 22.
