this was made for my friend Darcy to give to her mom for Christmas. the fabric is from a Moda Charisma charm pack. it veers from my normal style, but i think i like it anyway.
Your bag is wonderful. I just love Charisma! I have a charm pack, too, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. And while I need. no. new. fabric. I'm debating getting some more Charisma.
I love the Charisma line and I love charm bags! I have made one that is similar but a little more rectangular. I also didn't quilt it. Even more inspiration, gee my list is growing.
Very nice! The straps look like they turned out really well. I also thought at first that they were made of something else, maybe suede, until I saw your comment answer. What a pretty line of fabric, too.
Beautiful bag! Just returned from my first ever quilt retreat, where I complete the top to my second ever quilt! Still love seeing your work, and being inspired by it!
thank you much for the stippling tutorial, the video. i finally dared to meander myself and after half a quilt, i had it worked out. of course, there will have to be hundreds more until i know what i'm doing. thanks for your blog, you are my quilt guru! ;)
I love this!! I got this same charm pack, and I'm working on an hourglass quilt with them. Won't be very big, but I look forward to seeing all the great colors and patterns when it's all finished.
lol! I just finished morning coffee, have not showered or dressed yet, and have already spent money buying the Moda fabric pack listed in your post! So pretty! Those fabric collections make project color choices so easy! Thanks for posting!
love your blog and the charisma fabric. your prolific quilting has inspired me to finish projects that i start. thanks for the inspiration. i have a broken bone in my hand and i m learning to sew and type with one and a half hands. no caps and very little cutting with scissors. Debbie

Aren't purses fun!! Do you put on a closure or just leave it open? Great job! I love the fabrics!

denitza,
so far, the only closures i have used on my bags are the sew in ones. i have purchased some magnetic snaps, but i haven't used them yet.
