This is what my purse looks like when filled with all my stuff.
It's got a saggy middle, much like me. (hee hee hee).
Not quite sure what to do about the purse.
Now, on to something else, since I am getting sick of looking at this purse.
A new work in progress:
Priming and painting an old chair.
And making some patchwork to recover the seat.

I like saggy in the middle myself...
That chair is going to be a stunner! Can't wait to see the finished result.
That chair is going to be really pretty.
I love the purse. It doesn't look saggy.....maybe you just need more stuff in it! :-) Ha, Ha!!
And I love the chair! Can't wait to see it finished!
That chair is going to look awesome! Can't wait to see it.
I've had similar purse problems when I've made them with similar straps. You have to be working with very stiff fabric and tons of interfacing to really make that work right. If it is possible to still get inbetween your layers without taking too much apart, I would suggest either iron on another layer of interfacing, or could you maybe hide some plastic canvas in the middle? Hope that helps! Its still really cute even with a saggy middle (as are we all!)
Hey,
Cute purse, even though it would be too bright for my tastes.
I'm into the slouchy look of it. I think it looks cute and casual that way. That's what I say about my belly, too.
I don't think the purse looks bad and that chair is going to be really pretty when you are done!
Love the chair cover! Those great colors make me think of Spring! Where will you be using the chair when it's finished?
martysue,
I am using the chair paired with a thrifted desk for my little computer area, to hold our laptop and such. (blogged more about it on the march 23rd post.)
I have a window seat cushion that I would like to cover with something quilted, but not sure which pattern might look nice...which would you prefer to sit on? I am open to suggestions. :) I like that you share your bag creations! I understand that putting a rigid plastic form on the bottom of flat bottomed bags is supposed to prevent sagging.
