Welcome to day 4 of the No Scrap Left Behind blog tour! Today Bernie of Needle and Foot is sharing progress on her very own version of the ring me quilt. When she was planning out her quilt, she asked me what I thought of using a dark gray background instead of the white. Being a huge fan of gray, I thought it was a great idea. Although, I must admit that I get very nervous about being responsible for other people chopping up 5 yards of their precious fabric. So, I encouraged her to piece some scrappy strips and do a trial run before she cut into her yardage. It looked amazing on the gray background and she is well on her way. You can check out her progress here..... it is STUNNING! She is also sharing her very organized scrap storage methods and offering up a free copy of the book. I hope you go check it out!
I love BIG quilts made from small pieces. The overall visual impact is second to none!
Steffani did a beautiful job quilting it with a squared off stipple. It was just the right treatment to finish this one off. I don't think that I'm supposed to pick a favorite, but today, I'm pretty sure that this would be at the top of that list!
I love quilts like that. The smalle pieces, the better, for me. Great inspiration.
It's lovely! I'm always amazed at the ways you find to use little scraps. So often quilts made from tiny scraps end up being visually overwhelming, but yours are invariably stunning.
I went to buy fabric today and ended up buying your book instead. It's wonderful.
This one is very appealing. I must get on the solid train! Not many of those in my stash....yet!
Great !!! I love so much !
I love it! The use of positive/negative space makes it really striking.
I LOVE THE QUILT! THANKS FOR POSTING EVERY DAY SO WE DON'T FORGET TO LOOK AT THE QUILTS ON THE BLOG HOP!
Ordered your book and will get it today - it provides some quilts that would be quick and easier - Easier than Robin's Nest or Nearly Insane!
I love this pattern have have several bins of scraps that would look good in this project ... looks like a nice leader ender type project.
Love it and the quilting is perfect for it.
Great quilt! especially using those little pieces.
Love this quilt too! I am with you on using up scraps in a big quilt, big impact!
