good neighbors fabric giveaway

It's been one year since my good neighbors fabric was released. That may be a silly thing to celebrate, but I, for one, am excited that it is still available in both yardage and pre-cuts. I have enjoyed seeing how others have used the fabric. I also enjoyed working it into all kinds of projects...from quilt backings to pincushions. To celebrate, I'm going to give away two bundles of good neighbors fabric...one in a warm colorway, one in a cool colorway. The giveaway is open to all. International entries are welcome with the stipulation that you will be willing to cover shipping costs, should you win a bundle. If you would like to throw your name into the hat, please leave me a comment in this post. In your comment, I would like to know if you tend to gravitate toward warm colors or cool colors when you are making projects and also where you are from. If you have made something with good neighbors fabric, I'd love to hear about that, too. :) I will pick a winner in a few days!

Hi,
Thanks for the giveaway! I love both cool and warm, but would probably go with the warm. I am from Stillwater, MN. I used your reds in a Christmas quilt this year and used the grey with the big flowers in an Anita's Arrowhead quilt. They are very good stash fabrics.

Amanda Jean, It's great to have you back. Orange is me so warm colors are abound in my projects tossed with a bit of turqoise on occasion. I'm visiting Connecting Threads for a Good Neighbors Charm pack for my long list of pinnies to make.

My top color pick is blue but I'm going to say I use rainbow colors most often. I have used your fabrics in my quilts--I love me a good polka dot and yours are just the right size! I like the x's for backgrounds too. Haven't tried the wide back fabric but it's on my list to get. Oh and I live in beautiful Southern Maryland.

Congratulations! You were one of the first bloggers I read and loved when I started quilting 5 yrs ago. Your Sunday Mornings book is my go to for ideas to use in elementary classrooms, the students love creating purple giraffes, blue elephants, green with yellow spotted leopards with your ticker tape scraps & glue stick method.

I guess I am ambi-color-enabled. The student quilts require bright clear colors, but tend to go for the cool range.

Your collection is fab. Congratulations, again!

It is usually a seasonal thing with me but do find myself, any time of the year, gravitating to Autumn colors of rich, dark hues such as dark pumpkin, deep greens, purple, dark gold, etc. I also love all vibrant jewel tones so naturally gravitate to batiks. But when Springtime is in the air, I love pastels! That is mostly for wool projects. I have only made one light colored quilt top with Springtime colors but have been gathering 1930's style fat quarters to someday make a bright, summer quilt. I guess I have just admitted I love all colors!

And I have purchased the Good Neighbors wide backing for a quilt top in my queue. It is perfect for the quilt.

As for colors, at my house, it depends on the season. Fall is coming, so the warm colors will change with the leaves. Then in Winter, the colors are cool. Good Neighbors is lovely in both temps!

Hi Amanda. I tend to like warm colors best, red being my favorite! Three red vehicles, red trim and a red roof on our home, and red in each room! Yup, warm colors! I live in New Hampshire where the warm fall colors will hopefully emerge soon-if our lack of rain does not dull them. Thanks for the opportunity to win a great bundle!

I love your fabric line. I used your wide backing fabric for several of my quilts...so bright and fresh. As for warm or cool colors, it depends on the project I am working on.

Wowee! 578 comments already! I definitely lean toward the warm color side but I truly love them all. The way colors play together is what fascinates me.

I love warm colours and love your blog. I am from Ireland and would be very happy to pay postage. Thank you

One of my next quilts is a citrus/low volume so I'll say warm, but they are both lovely!

My choice of cool vs warm colors depends on the project that I am doing and the season for which it is for. If I had to choose it would more than likely be cool colors; I am from Bowman, ND. I like to quilt smaller scale projects because I can see the end quicker - I am by no means good but I try

I'd choose warm colors. I'm from Illinois.

Depends on my mood, sometimes warm, sometimes cool, always lots of contrast in my choices of fabric. Live in Auburn Alabama, but have lived all over the US.

Hello there, I'm a neighbour in BC. I Pulled Sunday Morning quilts off the shelf again a little while, and would love to make something with the material shown. Love the columns. Congratulations on your anniversary.

I used to be 'warm'... think orange drapes in the 70's but as I age, I seem to love the calmness of cool colours. I winter in Arizona and spend my other days in BC, Canada. Most of my quilting is for charity in both places that I live. Am just getting into this 'modern' quilting and love the clear colours and pretty fabrics.

Your fabric is gorgeous, but it hasn't been in my budget to buy new fabric for quite a while. I would love to win! I especially love cool colors!

I love this line and would be happy with any color way, but if I had to choose I'd go with warm.

Amanda,
I love brights - your fabric collection is wonderful. I would be totally inspired to make something FABULOUS. Fabric is everything to me when I want to take my quilting to the next level. Just finally feel confident to design my own quilts. I still use some patterns, with all the classes and techniques I have acquired - give me the strength to break away and do my own thing.
Thank you for being such a great blogger with continual inspiration. I love your blog.

I'm drawn to the cool palette, with blue being my favorite color.

I have tended to be drawn to the cooler color palette, but am wanting to try more with warmer colors. The more I see all the beautiful fabric available now, the more I love it all! There is less and less colors that I avoid and I feel excited to work with nearly any shade of any color I can get my hands on. Thanks for the awesome giveaway opportunity!

I gravitate to more cool colors for my quilts. I suppose I want them to be lively and full of color for my friends who receive them. I love all your posts out here in California!

In deciding to choose between warm and cool colors I turn out to be a bit schiodfrenic / schitoidfranic ...I can not even spell it well enough for spell check to pick it up.

I lean towards cool colors, plus red! Here in rural Illinois, where green reigns supreme.

I tend to gravitate to blues, greens, and purples. Lately, I have been experimenting with warm colors. Love your fabric, and thanks for having a giveaway! :)

These are such wonderful fabrics! I love both colorways... in the past I think I gravitated toward warm colors but recently have loved the cool colors especially with a lot of white thrown in. I live in the Santa Barbara area and I think my next project is going to be beachy :)

I love the name of your fabric line. Good Neighbors. I have had some great neighbors over the years. I like the cool colors, but lately I have been leaning towards the blues. So, I would have to say that I am leaning towards the warm colors.

I personally love the warm colors, but let's be honest here - I have three boys, so most of what I make involves the cool colors. 😉

Your fabrics are lovely and I am sorry to say that I have not had the opportunity to make anything with them; as I am pretty new to your blog. I never know which colorway I am going to go towards. I am on a bright and cheery kick right now, yet all of the warm colors of Autumn are starting to show up and looking so beautiful. I made a tote, table topper, placemats and napkins all in fall colors this past week. I would love to win your gorgeous fabrics in either colorway though. Thank you for the opportunity and have a fantastic creative day!

I am leaning towards the cool colors these days. I am working on too much stuff. I just made personalized First Aid denim zippered box bags for my twin sons to take to college. They stuffed so much in each bag, I couldn't believe it all fit! The bags held up nicely, despite having to make one over because the zipper was stuck. I hate that! Now, I just started a string quilt with scraps because...well, I got started making block donations and couldn't stop. Now I have an entire quilt top and 3 extra squares for donation. If only there were more time in the day, perhaps I could complete some of my WIP's.
