good neighbors fabric giveaway

It's been one year since my good neighbors fabric was released. That may be a silly thing to celebrate, but I, for one, am excited that it is still available in both yardage and pre-cuts. I have enjoyed seeing how others have used the fabric. I also enjoyed working it into all kinds of projects...from quilt backings to pincushions. To celebrate, I'm going to give away two bundles of good neighbors fabric...one in a warm colorway, one in a cool colorway. The giveaway is open to all. International entries are welcome with the stipulation that you will be willing to cover shipping costs, should you win a bundle. If you would like to throw your name into the hat, please leave me a comment in this post. In your comment, I would like to know if you tend to gravitate toward warm colors or cool colors when you are making projects and also where you are from. If you have made something with good neighbors fabric, I'd love to hear about that, too. :) I will pick a winner in a few days!

Aloha from Kona, HI! Relatively new to quilting, inspired by Lisa Boyer's Hawaiian Postcard Quilt which was my first! Naturally drawn to warm colors, but love the cool blues and greens of the ocean and mountains!! Thanks for the opportunity - keeping my fingers crossed - good luck everyone :-)

Which I am drawn to typically depends on the time of year...cool colors in Spring and Summer...warm colors in Fall and Winter.

Love bright fabrics....but seem to make more quilts in warm colours. Maybe they just seem cozier.
I am from Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.

I am like warm colors, however my kids like cool colors! I have been drooling over your fabric for a year now, but haven't been able to buy any. My kids and I love to make all kinds of craft sewing projects. We would love to include some Good Neighbors fabric.

I'm a scrappy girl, but I tend toward warm colors. I live in the mountains of Southern Arizona, where butterflies and hummingbirds abound.

Cool colors are my soothing draw to. I do use warm colors too, but having to pick...anything with blues/purples I love. I can't believe they have been around a year already! Time flies ;o)

I often make cool color quilts but end up picking a very warm binding color. So I guess a bit of both for me! I'm from Texas :)

I just dabble in quilting, but I love these fabrics. Either color palette will suit me. I live in Belgium, but I can provide a US shipping address.

Hi Amanda. I love your fabric collection - simple designs in bright colours are the perfect complement to the novelty fabrics I tend to buy. I've not managed to get hold of any unfortunately as it doesn't seem to be available in the UK so would love to win this bundle. In terms of warm or cold it really depends on my mood but if the blue section of my fabric collection is anything to go by then I'm probably leaning more towards cold. If I won this bundle id have to make some pincushions for my sewing buddies since you are the queen of pincushions!

I like and use both warm and cool colors but I think I gravitate toward the warm. I love this fabric line. I bought several pieces when it first came out and have used them in various projects. I love that they play nicely with other fabric lines.

I go back and forth between warm and cool colors. For awhile I was making everything in warm earthy tones but then suddenly it all seemed so dark so lately I've been doing everything in cooler colors. I have used Good Neighbors fabric in several items I've made. I used it in some bags, a couple of quilts, some pincushions and even an apron for one of my granddaughters. I love it!

Hi and hello :) I am new to quilting and I have been drooling over so many ideas and patterns. Problem is, I have no material at all. I love the feeling of cool colors but also can't resist the feeling of warmth/cuddling colors either. So, anything you send pick would be very much appreciated and put into a project with love and care.
Thank you for the blogs, they help.

I'm just learning to quilt and love to play around with color. This fabric looks so vibrant and fresh! I can imagine all the fun I would have with these. Thanks for sharing!

I love both, however I guess that I am most often drawn to the cooler colors. That could have something to do with the weather at the moment which continues to be in the 90's and high 80's.

Although I live in Florida, where there is no shortage of "warm" weather, I still gravitate toward the warm colors. I've really enjoyed your blog and all those cute pin cushions you have made. You are one busy and productive Gal. Your fabrics all seem so happy. I'd love to have one of your bundles.

I tend to mix them both in almost all of my quilts. I love navy/grey as a background to warm yellow/pink.

I am definitely drawn to warm colors but I'm trying to switch it up. I live in the Seattle area. Now that summer is over, I am really looking forward to seeing on the rainy days!

Congratulations on your anniversary! Sadly, I do not have any of your fabric line. I have been working on scrap quilts using fabric on hand. It seems as though I gravitate from warm colors in the winter to cool colors in the summer. It has been a brutally hot and muggy summer here in Virginia so I have used lots of cool colors. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway. So much potential with those fabrics.

Have just finished a baby quilt with a good neighbour's charm pack, and I LOVE it. will send picture when quilted. Love warm colours in my clothing and home, but usually end up reaching for turquoise when it comes to quilting.

I'm originally from New England so my love for all things nautical and preppy shows easily in the cool color tones. I've lived in the deep south now for over 25 years and the warm color tones always appeal to my love for college football games days, BBQ and sipping lemonade on the porch. Funny that even my two favorite colors, lime green and carrot orange, come from each color way.

I love blues and greens so I am definitely a cool gal! But I do not like to discriminate. I don't know which I tend toward when making a quilt. I am a beginner quilter and have only completed two quilts. One has more warmer colors with cool accents and the other one has more cooler colors with some warm accents. However, I think in life in general I have a preference toward the cooler colors. Maybe that is because I am from Michigan.

Greetings from Virginia USA! I'm so happy to see your line have such a long shelf life! It's so frustrating to get a little of something, learn you love it, and then learn you can't get it anymore. Blue is my favorite color, but I've been consciously building my warm stash to the point that I'm almost equally balanced! If I were to win, I'd happily take whichever bundle the other winner doesn't want! Thanks for doing this.

Hiya Amanda Jean!
I usually go towards cool colours, but have been known to dabble in warm ones as well. My Mother had my colours 'done' back in the 1980s, when that was all the rage and I was a 'Winter' then and am still one!
I'm located in a small semi-rural town about an hour's drive east of Vancouver, BC. I am happy to pay reasonable costs to ship this bundle...just in case I'm the lucky winner! I keep on wanting to buy the bundle at Connecting Threads, but each time they have a sale on, I am between paycheques...if you know what I mean!
Thanks!

Mostly warm colors I think. But I really just love all colors :) I'm in Indiana.

Warm colors definitely though I seem to gravitate towards orange and blue quilts a lot.

I love both warm and cool colors, but I think I use warm colors most often. I am going to check my scrap jars and see if they back up that assumption! Thank you for the giveaway!

I love blues, with aqua being my favorite color, but also like a pop of yellow, orange or red. I guess it would depend on the pattern and who I was making a quilt for as to which color way I would choose. Your fabric line is beautiful and I appreciate the opportunity to win a bundle. I'm an Alabama girl.

Love the fabrics! Great colors! Thanks for the giveaway!

My stash tends to be a true mishmash, with a little bit of everything as my favourite type of quilt is the scrappy type. Both cool and warm would find a home in one project or another, especially as I am working on several UFO's at the moment! I am in Alberta, Canada.

I tend to use both warm & cool colors depending on the project! Right now I'm especially into cool light teals and ocean colors but also working on "Frozen" inspired quilts for my girls in pink/purple and blue/purple.

I'm from the foothills just outside Sacramento, CA. I love your fabric line and have been meaning to order some for quite a while. There isn't a single fabric in your collection I don't like - they are all beautiful. I gravitate towards to warm colors more often than not.

Thank you for sharing the fabric line...I am in love with the prints and the colors!! I sew for my little girl more than myself, so I probably use a lot of cool colors; I am not picky. I find use for just about any kind of fabric!! I sew clothes, and do some quilting also. I am from Klamath Falls, Oregon.

I like both as exhibited in my stash. But today I choose the "cool" colors as I'm using more grey. Me and my stash live in southwest Washington (state).

Warm colors are for me with some cool ones for balance. My friends and I swapped house blocks, I used your Good Neighbors fabric. I, too, like that it's still available and I have ordered it three times! It is a GREAT line!

Hello from Arundel in West Sussex, England. My colour ways tend to go with the seasons. So having been sewing with bright and colourful my thinking is now heading to the more muted autumnal. Having said that I also have my hand quilting if my Christmas quilt on the go! Love the fabrics and postage is certainly not a problem.
