March/April issue of Quilty! They called it Kid Potential...but in my mind it will always be 'end of the line'. That's what I called it for the past 2+ years when it was a WIP. :) Whatever the name, it's all about using up those scraps! The finished size is 41" x 56"...so those scraps are pretty tiny. Just the way I like it!
When I was snapping photos, I happened to notice that it looks pretty wonderful with my choose joy pillow! Love it when that happens! Anyway, having to meet the deadline for publication was the perfect push I needed to turn this WIP into a finished quilt. Hurray for finishing!
How about you? Please link up your finishes for the week. Thank you for joining me for finish it up Friday! I so appreciate it!
Super cute!! I love Quilty! Won't this be your second quilt for them? So exciting! Have a great weekend!
It's lovely. I love the controlled color in that quilt. I also have a weakness for small scraps.
I just received my Quilty mag in the mail two days ago, and .... your quilt is my absolute favorite! I loved it, said to myself, "This looks like it belongs in "Sunday Morning Quilts" and THEN I saw your name as the author and thought, "Of course." Many thanks for this pattern - I'll be sure to use it... hopefully soon!
congratulations on your publishing :) and I love your mystery quilt from last week. yellows, pinks, oranges with gray . . . absolutely brilliant!
Beautiful quilt! And you're right, it looks fabulous with the pillow :)
Ooooh -- I'm definitely going to have to find that issue!
Wow I love your quilt!!!Amanda,Happy Easter from Sweden and Eva-Bambi Johansson
That is a super cute quilt. And you're right, it's the perfect match for your Joy pillow.
Thanks for hosting again this week. I love seeing other people's finishes. And it helps motivate me to get at least one project finished so that I can share too.
fun quilt and I do love the Choose Joy pillow. My mom put up a little tile the said 'because nice matters'. She said she needed the reminder when she would get frustrated with dad. I think I need BOTH signs!
Great scrappy design! I may have to make one of those soon :)
PS- End of the Line is totally the perfect name for it, you're right.
Wow! That is beautiful! I love the bright colors! I'm so impressed with how they all work together for the whole look and don't seem to compete with each other. I think that's what scares me about scrappy quilts.
Another fantastic Amanda quilt! Love it. A lot.
Oh my Amanda Jean..another great scrappy quilt to use up every little scrap...as the saying goes...'waste not what not'. I luv it, will have to look for the March/April Quilty issue. Happy stitching, Pauline
Oh so cute. Now I have to go look for that issue of Quilty.
Love the scrappiness! Congrats on the publication!
I picked up that copy of Quilty and loved that quilt but didn't notice it was yours. My bad. Just looking at pretty pictures! Congratulations.
love this quilt...makes me want to do a teeny tiny scrap quilt ONE DAY !!
thanks for hosting finishitupfriday...love linking up xoxox
Love it! I also think 'End of the Line' is a much better name for it.
I'm not about to finish anything major in the near future :( love the quilt, nice to see all those odds and ends put to fabulous use
I like your working title better for your scrappy quilt! I love a good deadline to get things finished. Somehow, I've been motivated to finish WIPs even without a deadline. I'm crediting my doctor and the mega dose of vitamin D he prescribed!
This quilt is amazing! I don't have the patience for such tiny pieces, but the results are fantastic!
Looks great with your joy pillow.
It's starting to become hard to keep up with all your publications--SO awesome. What a great quilt!
So funny - I bought this magazine because of this quilt - I thought it looked like your work - Great inspiration for a fun scrap user quilt! Love the link-ups every Friday as well - great motivation and great inspiration! Congrats!
I am making a postage stamp quilt, 1.5" finished squares. I love it. Its great to see your picture, it gives me motivation to keep going.
Love these two together! Sew pretty! Thanks for hosting each week!

That quilt is just beautiful! I do love me some scrappy!
I just love your Kid Potential - shows how scraps can be a beautiful thing. Thanks for sharing.
Very pretty! Is this the one that you were starting last time I was at your house?
Love it!! You are the Scrap Queen.
Love your quilt and pillow. This would be a great quilt to use up scraps.
Lovely use of scraps. It sure is a great finish.
It's fabulous! Congrats on the magazine article!
Great quilt as always.. Another great way for scraps. Also love the pillow joy. Congrats for this publication ....
Congrats - it's a wonderful quilt! I just submitted something to them and I'm waiting to hear back if they accept it or not - exciting stuff!
Congratulations, Amanda Jean! You must be sew excited! Love the quilt. You always make such pretty stuff. Thanks for sharing!
Such a happy quilt! I love it and will have to look for that magazine.
Your quilt is fantastic, just the way I love quilts to be. Thanks for showing us.
That's a fantastic quilt! Congrats on another publication. Woo hoo!!!
Congratulations! Beautiful quilt and as usual, you're using up your scraps I assume!
I saw your quilt in the most recent Quilty. Congratulations! I hope you have plans for more contributions. I am always happy to see one of your patterns there.
Great job on the scrappy quilt. Beautiful.
Thank you for the Finish up Friday feature. It is a growing list and I make the time during my week to view each participant.
Of course you have quilts that we all don't know about but it's so exciting when they get the grand reveal. I can't believe how small these pieces are. Precious pieces.
I love this quilt!! I keep enlarging my 'scrap box' to bigger and then filling it up. It's a great place to dig for applique pieces and I could so see this quilt happening in my house! Thanks for inspiring us :o)
