Pure Elements by Pat Bravo for Art Gallery fabrics. They are super smooth and I wasn't sure how I felt about that, but they sewed and quilted up nicely. Hurray!
solid fabric is Ocean Mist by Connecting Threads. I am quite fond of their solids, as you probably already know. :)
The center strip is my favorite one in the whole quilt. It finishes just a bit over 1/2" wide. So itty bitty! It makes me squeal a little bit every time I see it.
If you are interested in making your own bright birch trees quilt, you can find the pattern in my shop. The pattern is sold as a pdf only, so a file will be sent to your email address used in your pay pal account.

Happy Monday to you!
Eeeeeeeee! I love this, Amanda. And now I'm adding a sentence because this seems like a very short comment if I leave it as is and doesn't properly convey how much I absolutely adore this quilt.
Really gorgeous! I'm a huge fan of using every little scrap too! Fabric is so expensive it just kills me to throw anything out that could be *used* some time in the future! I may have to grab this pattern :-)
Great quilt girl, you've done it again! Thanks for the sharing.
p.s. I love that you 'take sundays off'.
Beautiful quilt...love the "news flash" on how you feel about scraps!
Love it!! You're right, the teeny-tiny strips are perfect!
I love this quilt! And double sided too boot!
Bright Birch Trees is awesome!
I've been wondering about how this turned out. It looks great! Such a happy quilt, and I love the improv element.
I love this quilt so bright and happy. I really love the narrow scraps.
Love it!! What a bright, happy, cheerful quilt and I LOVE the tiny strip you did. Looks amazing.
What a bright, fun quilt! Love the colours and the bonus of it being double-sided. Happy Holiday Season :)
Amanda, I ordered your pattern and this quilt definitely goes onto my 2013 list along with 3 other items. I love its scrappy parts highlighted onto the solids...in taupe-y backgrounds this would make a nice guy's quilt I think. thanks Julierose
What a great quilt, and a terrific way to use up the smallest of scraps!
Amanda, I love your bold use of solids against the strips of scraps. You are an inspiration to me.
I see lots of my scraps in there. I remember you just stripping them all together. I really love this quilt and how it looks like birch trees.
Simply stunning! A very cool, unique quilt :)
Ohhhh, you've outdone yourself this time, Amanda!! This is moving up to the top of my favs of yours. Good work!!!
First thought ~ oh, that's beautiful! I love birch trees and this is a wonderful representation!
Lovely, fun pattern, and how lovely you're donating your proceeds to help your friends! running off to buy...
You have so many happy comments already, but I want to say, too, that this is a gorgeous quilt and I've come to look at it many times. Very inspiring.
I just adore this quilt. And that little teensy strip...eek--SO sweet!
Very very cool Amanda Jean! I love the bright happy colors!
I love the quilt, and the name is perfect. Great use of scraps and solids, and I love the quilting!
This is a great quilt! I just sorted ALL my scraps this past weekend - I cannot part with any of them. I just got the pattern and will shoot for a 2013 finish! Happiest of holidays to you and your family!
Fun! I knew it was birch trees before reading the name!
This is STUNNING Amanda Jean! You are amazing. Every time I look at my scrap baskets I think of you. (AND, every time I throw out any little snippet I think of you, too!) Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
Fun quilt! Once again your generosity warms my heart. Heading now to purchase your pattern. Best wishes to your friends in bringing baby Tulip home.
I adore this quilt! I intended to make a similar version when I saw the blocks you started, but life and school always get in the way of my sewing. Someday, I will actually make one too. Such a great way to use snippets and bring some more nature decorating into our house.
Your quilt is so much fun!!!
This is such a fun and pretty quilt - perhaps my favorite one ever.
Keep up the good work.
Amanda - I love this quilt - all the little scraps and the amazing bright colours - WOW
I need a birch tree quilt in my house. It's so colorful and cheery!
Ooooh, I love working with scraps too!!! Love all the colors in your quilt - I am inspired!
That is just awesome and a great way to use scraps. I may just have to copy this next year. Have a wonderful Christmas and blessings for 2013.
