PIPS!!!! Many many MANY thanks to Thimbleanna for hooking me up with these fat quarters. How I will EVER cut into these little lovelies??? I do not have a clue. Anna, you are a darling! I'm seriously excited for this fabric.
I'm also seriously excited because I've packed up my Juki (in my super cute new suitcase!) and I'm headed to COLORADO!!! I'm teaching (machine quilting) at a retreat this weekend. My stomach has been flip flopping all day. I'm very excited. And a little bit nervous, too.
See you in a few days!
Edited to Add: My suitcase came from Target. It can be found here.
Cute suitcase, but I love your purse!!
Safe travels.....I bet you're a great teacher! Have fun and enjoy the group of eager students.
Where did you get the lovely suitcase? Have fun and come back soon. Maybe by then I will have whipped up courage to cut my second quilt.
how did you get Sherbet Pips so early?!?! Your are the third blogger I've seen with these adorable fabrics, yet I thought they weren't supposed to come out until 2011. Lucky girl! I can't wait to get some to play with.
Good luck at your retreat this weekend! You are going to rock it!
Have a great time, wish i was going with you!
Congratulations on scoring some Pips! (That sounds funny, doesn't it?) Have fun at the retreat!
Your purse is adorable! (*sigh* more FMF...) Hey, can you come out here to CA and give me a private machine quilting lesson??
Ohhhh, so lucky to have Pips! I get increasingly jealous with each post where I see bloggers getting them! If you feel like unloading any scraps my way.....
Love thast suitcase. Mine literally fell apart on my last trip...think I need me a lovely like that! Have a great retreat!
Love your new suitcase!
Have a wonderful trip to Colorado. You'll do fine teaching! You explained everything perfectly when we were doing the QALs at your site!
Don't forget your mittens!
You don't know how excited I am that you have these fabrics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to see what you do :)
Have fun in Colorado!
You'll do great! Maybe someday an 'out west' trip for me will include learning to machine quilt from you. Love the loops on the red quilt!
I'm sorry you won't get better weather! HAve a great trip!
You'll do fabulous! Have a great time!
I hope you enjoy your class. I bet if you relax and just be yourself, it will be a smashing success. I wish I could be a fly on the wall. Better yet, I wish I were going to be there too!
On a separate note, I thought of you today as I was ripping out some quilting. It's so helpful to know that you too change your mind and use a seam ripper.
Have fun!.. can you tell me where I can buy that fabric? LOL
Please tell me where I can buy that suitcase !
You'll do great at the class....nervousness is so much more commendable than smugness !
Uh, that fabric is incredible. I get warm fuzzies just looking at them together.
Have fun at your class, I can't wait to see what you do with the fabric. I'm sure its going to be super cute.
Gorgeous pips! And we're suitcase twins :-) Mine has served me well thus far - hope you love yours too! :-)
have a great time!!!
I knew I should have driven to Houston! So jealous of your pips. Seriously. Drooling. I LOVE them! (Think of me using a sing-song voice here.)
Love the pips!
Please tell us where you found that suitcase! I was just at the sewing machine store today and all they had were ugly, tapestry bags with vines and grapes. YUCK! That one is seriously CUTE!
ohhhhh how I wish can be there!!
How did you get your Juki in that suitcase??? I have a Juki TL98Q and I can't even get it to fit in the soft case that came with it. Must be doing something wrong here. Do you take the thread holders off? In any case, wish I were going to your workshop. Hope it's wonderful.
Wow; so much excitement! Congrats on the great fabric, and enjoy the retreat (and safe travels)!
Have a great trip!!! You will do great!!!
I'm sure PIPS is going to be very hard to cut into. I have that problem too. PIPS is pure loveliness!! Too too cute fabrics. Can't wait to see what you create. It will be wonderful.
I apologize in advance for the weather in Colorado, and wish like heck I was going to be at that retreat. =(
OhMyGosh - the PipsMama left you a comment -- how exciting!!! How on earth do you take your machine with you? Do you check that bag? I hope you have a fabulous time -- can't wait for the whole report!!!

I love the pips! I so wanted to go to that retreat, but for some reason we always have out of town guests the weekend of your retreat. Maybe next time!
Totally jealous of your quilt!
And jealous of your weekend at the retreat, too. I'll miss you guys! Of course, I can't complain from here in the middle of the Pacific.... but still. Had so much fun last year, I'm bummed I can't be everywhere at once!
Good luck teaching! I'm sure you will be fab.

Safe and happy travels! You will get over the flip flopping tummy as soon as you get to sharing your passion with the happy group awaiting you at the retreat. Have fun!Looking forward to hearing about it when you're back.
Love your new suitcase!
They will love you in Colorado! Relax and have a great time.
Amanda and her Pips - what will be their first hit? Even Aneela is wondering!!!

Ok, So I am totally in love with your suitcase for your Juki~but so jealous about the quilting retreat! I wish I lived in COLORADO! Instead...I'm in KY and sad! :0( I hope it goes wonderful for you. :0)
Another question on the suitcase and sewing machine relationaship. Is this a machine bag or a normal suitcase? If tha latter, how do you pack your machine? and a previously asked, do you check it?
Where did you get your suitcase?? It's really cool. Have fun in CO!!
That suitcase is so cute!!! Where did you get it??? I travel a lot for business and would love to purchase that - black is sooooo boring!
What fun! Enjoy yourself!
Grr, I've asked for your retreat as my birthday present for two years in a row now! Hubbie is losing brownie points like crazy ;-)
Have fun and tell us all about it! BTW, I'm having serious Sherbet Pips envy.
Amanda, it was just wonderful to meet you this weekend and learn from you!! As I told Tara on her blog, you two are a dynamic duo! The retreat was smashing!
I love the fabric! it is adorable. The little skiers make me actually want to ski. I am sure the class went well, cannot wait to hear more about it.
I love everything on your website and hope you had a great weekend. I wish you lived in England and would teach here. I sure could use it. I am new at this and having a hard time.
Those FQ's are adorable. Can I buy them anywhere? I found some that said they were due out April 2011..... seriously?!?!
wow ... so excited for you ... :) ... have a wonderful weekend teaching ... :)
sigh, love this, anna is wonderful
Two serious reasons to envy you. The Pips and the suitcase! Too cute :)
Loooove the bag! Machine case nice too, but the baaag:)
Love your suitcase.
I just crawled out of the computer-less cave I've been in for about a month now and was so excited that you're traveling to teach another class! Have a wonderful time away from home, doing what you love to do.
By the way, if you're looking for a monochromatic quilt color, may I recommend gray? It's the first color that popped in my head when I saw the post before this one, and then I saw a photo you posted several days prior with some fantastic grays in it. I think it would be really pretty and sophisticated.
Thanks for your post. Best wishes on your trip and your teaching.
Hi, I love your blog!
I am looking for a new quilting machine and am very interested to know about your JUKI. Would it be possible for you to write about it on your blog as I am sure others are also interested. I live in Israel and will need 220volts and whenever I look at Juki's website I cannot find anything suitable that has a walkingfoot, drops the feed dogs and even maybe a stitch regulator :) and has a very wide throat. I appreciate and info you can pass on to me. Thanks and warmest regards. Keep up YOUR great work. Sara
Those are THE cutest winter prints! Lucky YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was just reading through your blog and see that I just missed you coming to Ft. Collins - so sad! I've been loving your quilts for the past year and would have loved to have gone to your class. You mentioned you would be doing it again next year - did you mean in Ft. Collins again??
