This past weekend I turned 35. You know how some people say that they don't feel their age? I'm not one of those people. ;) I celebrated with my sis, who also shares my birthday. No cake was involved (it's way too hot to bake) but there was LOTS of ice cream. I may or may not have had ice cream 3 times on Sunday, including my husband's favorite recipe. YUM! It was a good, good day.
In belated celebration of my official stance in the middle aged club, I'm hosting a give away. Today I have not one, but TWO roll ups to give away, compliments of Robert Kaufman fabrics. Thank you, Rob! (LOL!!!!!!!!!)

There are so many great ice creams, it's hard to pick one. But, my absolute favorite is a combo of coffee and vanilla cinnamon with a little reese peanut butter cup mixed in, in a waffle cone. You can only get that exact combo at Marble Slab.

I have made ice cream. I've eaten it at all the most popular spots around my travels. I realize what I am about to say is really lame but my favorite ice cream is still a plain old Dairy Queen soft-serve vanilla with a chocolate coating! It was a favorite as a kid and is still a favorite now many years later!

Happy Birthday! My favorite flavor of ice cream is Tin Roof from Blue Bell. Unfortunately, it is one of their seasonal flavors so you can only get it during the winter. I do not usually crave ice cream during the winter. I also LOVE mint chocolate chip!

I love pistachio and have since birth. When my mama was pregnant with me she consumed it by the gallon. Later when i was about 4 she held up three cartons of ice cream for me at the store and asked me to pick out which one I wanted. I promptly told her that I didn't want those, I wanted my favorite and pointed to the pistachio in the case. Small point to note, I had never even tried pistachio before that moment.....mm pistachio....I think I am gonna go get a bowl right now. Happy Birthday Hun!

There has only been one ice cream favorite in my life. Baskin Robbins' Chocolate Fudge Chunks and Chips. I first tried it over 20 years ago, and it has long been discontinued.

when it comes to ice cream I can't choose just one flavor. My top three are Haagan Daas caramel cone, haagan daas dulce de leche (I do love me some caramel) and Baskin Robbins world class chocolate. you can't go wrong with any of them, but be warned...its very easy to polish off a pint all by yourself.
I could kill for Ben&Jerry's icecream: Peace of Cake. Delicious!

chocolate & Peanut butter...what a perfect combination!
Yummm, I love homemade vanilla ice cream with a ripe banana sliced up in it, topped with Hershey's syrup.
My favorite ice cream is Baskin Robins Mint Chip. I love how they make the choc chips into shavings almost. My second favorite would have to be Baskin Robins Choc. Chip.

My fav. ice cream is made by a local company back home "tofts" and is Moon Pie Ice Cream. mmm. It's chocolate/vanilla swirled ice cream with a swirl of fudge, a swirl of marshmello, and choc. covered marshmellow cups, and choc. covered grahm crackers. mmm. delicious. I need to get some next time I'm home.... :)
Or just because I can't help myself... a scoop of "cotton candy confetti" by the same company, cotton candy ice cream (yes its pink) with candy coated choc. pieces. Yum! :)
My favorite flavor without question is Rocky Road...it does not get better than chocolate with marshmallows and nuts--yum

Really, really good vanilla ice cream, with fresh fruit on top. It doesn't hurt if it's got a generous amount of homemade chocolate sauce drizzled on top either. Mmmm ... ice cream ... it's 35C here (not counting humidity levels, which push it into mid 40s) in Canada.

My personal favorite ice cream flavor would be a coffee vanilla swirl. I've only had it a couple times because it's a soft serve ice cream sold in a little convenience store near my family's cabin.

My favorite ice cream flavor remains vanilla. I know... boring! I like it best with the real vanilla bean, not the artificial flavoring. Made a bunch of batches a couple of summers ago and it never got old. The most fab recipe I found included honey as sweetener. Yummmmm!
Happy Birthday! I just found your blog yesterday when I was searching for tutorials how to finish quilt. I am making a baby girl quilt blanket for my friend whose due is in October. I've never finished quilt project before. Your tutorial really helped me to figure out how to finish this project. so thank you so much! (I even went to Joann's today to get your recommended batting for the blanket- thanks so much for that too. I could have spent hours hours to figure out what to buy there.)

Due to a newly-found allergy, I have been so happy to find a dairy free ice cream! It is called Coconut Bliss, made with coconut milk, and it is delicious!

My favorite flavor has always been jamocha almond fudge cuz it has the best of everything in it! I'm also not eating ice cream at the moment, but may make an exception on my birthday this month.
