This past weekend I turned 35. You know how some people say that they don't feel their age? I'm not one of those people. ;) I celebrated with my sis, who also shares my birthday. No cake was involved (it's way too hot to bake) but there was LOTS of ice cream. I may or may not have had ice cream 3 times on Sunday, including my husband's favorite recipe. YUM! It was a good, good day.

It's so funny about the jelly rolls...I just promised my friend a quilt made with EITHER of those exact same Robert Kaufman rolls! My friend and I even picked them out online together. :) So I had to try for the giveaway.

My favorite flavor of ice cream is Swensen's sticky chewy chocolate. When I was a kid, you could get it in a gallon container at the grocery store. It's probably beeter for my waistline that it hasn't been in the store for about 20 years but now I have to go to Swensen's to get it and I never seem to get there. Sorry for my ramblings, I miss my favorite flavor! I also love vanilla bean with dark chocolate syrup sometimes with some fresh berries.

I celebrated my 35th birthday at the end of June. My husband made me a chocolate cream pie. It was outstanding. Over the course of a week I ate the whole thing. Lucky for me my kids did not like it- too chocolatey- what? My favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip.

I LOVE ice cream, far more than it loves me. I can't say I have ONE favorite flavor, but I have a few that I go with. I love chocolate chip mint and Cookies and Cream but my probably the one I order most is Love Potion #31 - its a baskin robbins special that is yummy, yummy vanilla and raspberry ice cream with raspberry filled chocolates stirred in. Ooooh I'm getting hungry!

Ok mint chocolate, but strawberry can be refreshing, and vanilla is good because it can be dressed up. Oh and mocha almond fudge can be so tasty. My favorite (and it's not so healthy) is the "Birthday Cake Remix" from Coldstone Creamery. Its Birthday cake flavored ice cream with a brownie, chocolate fudge sauce, and rainbow sprinkles. They mix it all together and serve in a cup. Yumm.

My favorite of all time is BR Jamoca Almond Fudge & Mint Choc Chip as a double on a sugar cone. My first job as a 16 year old was working @ B&R - didn't cure me of my love of ice cream AT ALL.
