500

This is my 500th post, so I'm going to give away this set of 5 fat quarters of Katie Jump Rope fabric. Leave me a comment and I will draw a name to determine a winner. Like last time, leave me your name, where you are from, what your favorite work in progress project is. (Because I am assuming you all have a plethora of WIP's, like me.) :)

Here's an example: My name is AmandaJean and I live in Wisconsin. My favorite WIP is my son's orange and grey quilt. I love it not only because it is coming together nicely, but because he is eagerly awaiting it's finish. He asks me EVERY day if it is done yet. Love that.

Also, I picked a name from all the comments from Small Projects Week, and Katie K, you are my winner. You will receive a half yard of my favorite red polka dot fabric. Thanks to all of you who commented.

Have a great Monday!
edit: the contest is now closed.

Hi Amanda, I couldn't live without your blog: You are such an inspiration to me. OKay, My name is Mary Jo. I live in Long Prairie, MN. My favorit WIP is a scrappy bably quilt for my new Granddaughter born 3 days ago. The quilt has been in progress for quite sometime because the mother was sure it was a boy. Guess what it is a girl. I think she will like it anyway. Lots of colors instead of the usual pink I make for the girls. Thanks for your 500 blogs, I have read every one of them. God bless. MJ

Hi Amanda Jean! Congrats on 500 posts. That is a lot - and shows a lot of quilting on your part to have 500 posts worth of stuff to blog about! I love your blog and always feel excited when it shows up highlighted in my reader because I know I'm going to see something fun when I click over to your post! Anyway, I'm Nichole from your neighboring state of Iowa and my favorite WIP right now is a stacked coins quilt I just finished quilting. Now onto the binding! Thanks for the great giveaway...you know we all love KJR.

Katie said...

I didn't realize I was one of so many who read your blog! I'm Katie from Denver, Co. I try to keep my WIPs to a minimum, but right now my favourite is the 85" by 85" quilt I'm making. I have the front pieced together and I'm using a vintage sheet on the back. All I need is batting. The best part is, the batting is the only thing I had to purchase. Everything else was in my stash that I've been working hard on making smaller. Obviously, at some time I purchased all that fabric, but still, a lot of it was leftovers from other projects, etc! Yay for me!

Erin said...

I'm Erin from Colorado. I only have 2 right now, but my favorite WIP is the Admit One baby quilt by American Jane. I made 2 tops: one went to my cousin for her baby, and the other remains unfinished since we're not sure who to give it to! This pattern can be customized with the baby's name on it. http://www.quilterswarehouse.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=AJP198

My name is Jennifer and I live in central Florida. My favorite WIP is the lap quilt I'm working on now for my yet-to-be born niece. I'm finally going to be an aunt! It's the scrappy circles pattern from www.carolinapatchworks.etsy.com - I love that it got me out of my symmetry. It's also the first quilt that I'm free motion quilting on my own. I figure the baby won't care if it's not perfect. :-)
