free fabric

Happy Monday! I feel like giving away some free fabric today-just because. :) If you would like to win these 4 fat quarters, all you need to do is leave me a comment letting me know where you are from and what you are doing today. I'll give you an example. (This idea is totally stolen/inspired by the adorable Camille. I so want her chair, by the way. Swoon!!!)

My name is AmandaJean and I live in Wisconsin. Today I am doing laundry and I am working on my Swell quilt. I am making chicken wild rice for dinner in my crock pot so I have more time to sew!

In your comment, please make sure there is a way for me to contact you in the event that I draw your name. Thanks!

edit: the contest is now closed.

Bonjour Amanda-Jean from a Scot living in La Belle France.

This is my second try at posting a comment so hope it works:

You have so many fans and I AM ONE OF THEM! I think your quilts are mouth-wateringly lovely and so does your dinner sound wonderful. I am starving. I had rotten dental appointment today and I am now going to try making a little potholder. I tried your little tiny patches quilt that you pointed us to for the tutorial but alas, it was a total muck-up. Will keep trying with your help I hope.

Cheers,

Eight Hundred & tewnty two comments.... WOW!

Happy belated birthday to the big girl, I hope she likes the dress that you made. Did you daughter want one too?

Love the whirly gig - the scale is nice & big. (I did something similar with smaller blocks - mine looked more like houndstooth - before blogging - so no photos...)

If ya wanna, you can send those lime green & turquoise fabrics my way - love how they look in your drawers. I'm keen for the numerals fabric too!

Love snippets - it looks great on your wall!

The pink quilt is nice too, I have almost been banned from pink - baby boy, ya know...

Greetings and salutations! My name is Susan and today - oh happy day - is my darling daughter Grace's sixth birthday - so I am taking to to the "super fun happy place" where we plan to bounce and roll in colorful plastic balls, slide down slides, run in and out of wee castles, and just make merriment all day! Lunch will be at McDonald's and dinner will be a pizza pick-up. Does it get any better than this? Maybe no sewing today, but stitching together a tapestry of memories. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your contest. Kindly, Susan who is also susanmaurer@windstream.net

My name is Marie and I live in the UK. Merseyside to be precise, near Liverpool (home of the Beatles and all that). Today, as most Wednesdays I am at work, but unlike most Wednesdays when I usually leave at 3.30, today I have to be here until 8pm. Which sucks. Not only because being at work late always sucks, but because I have a poorly back today (sciatica - eek) and just want to go home and commune with my sofa.

My, I'm a barrel of laughs today aren't I?? Well, you did ask ;)

My name is Elisabeth and it may be too late to enter this but I wanted to leave a comment anyway since I read all the time. I love these colors, I really loved the red and blue quilt your friend did. I am in the Boston area and I just got my toddler down for a nap and am about to finish the binding on my Valentine's wall hanging quilt that I've been making. It's about time! At least it will get to hang for a couple of days, next year it will be up on Feb 1st!
I love reading your blog and I meant to tell you too that I was very impressed with how you have whittled down your stash. This quilt I'm making came entirely from stash fabric, including the pieced together leftover batting. It's red and pink- of course!

Just wanted to chime in...

I'm Shelli in NYC, and we've just adopted a new son, so my days and nights are all mixed up... I *think* it's Wednesday. ;) And I *should* be napping, because he is, but I have to do a bit of work (koff koff) blog reading!

Hi, I am Kathy from the Mo Ozarks.
I just looked up your binding tutorial for the second time. I made a baby quilt for a friend's new little blessing. I just got the quilt back from the quilters. (I also watched your quilting video and may try that sometime soon) I made the binding after my first visit to your site. (I googled you) and now I revisited your site to see how to apply the binding. Wish me luck!!! I would love to win the material. I have been making a lot of baby bibs and burp cloths too. Some day I hope to have grandkids, so right now I am just practicing by making items for others. Thanks, Kathy

We make quilts to donate to local charities as well as donating quilts to the Lutheran World Relief which gives quilts to needy people the world over. If it's possible, it would be a blessing to receive some free fabric for quilting from you. Thank you for the time.

Hello, my name is Anne` and I am from Moundsville, West Virginia. Today I will be making 2 quilts, this will be # 8-9 this month. The last was a Harry Potter quilt, it is simply patchtabulous. I got a quiltbug stuck in me, which started when I was watching Anne of Green Gables, and now I can not stop it. Thinking of starting a Quilters Annonomous Group, really this stuff is addictive. Today, I will be visiting my local thrift stores for material to feed my hunger. On the menu for this evening I will be making Keilbasa baked in an fruit mixture, it's the only way I can get either of my 5 girls to eat it.

Hi, I'm Anne and I'm from the UK. When I was younger, I used to knit, embroider and do patchwork. After working for 36 years, I was recently made redundant so have started to resume crafting. I've rediscovered the joy of patchwork and am today teaching this to my 2 beautiful little neices. Also, if the weather stays dry (I'm sure you're aware of typical British weather !!!)I'll mow my bac lawn. Have a good day. AJ
