work in progress

Quilting this full size quilt was my project for the day.
I was hoping to get it all quilted and the binding machine stitched on, but that goal was a little lofty for a single day, apparently. I wanted to take it along to our multiple thanksgiving festivities tomorrow so I had something to stitch while I was visiting. I have a crochet blanket that I will probably cart along with me instead. (I have to be doing something!)

See, that's why it's important to have multiple projects going. :)

  2. That looks really pretty so far. I am taking my knifty knitter along because my MIL wants to see how it works. I may take another project along, too. I have a project for Etsy that is going to need hemming if I can get a few minutes of stitching in in the morning to get it to the point where I can hem it. Not sure if that's gonna happen or not.

  5. Happy Thanksgiving!
I vote for multiple projects, so I can flip from one to the next before it gets boring. It never is......now you can imagine how many I have on the run:-))my poor family living between bolts and skeins....
I love your choice of quilt-along blocks.

  6. I completely understand the importance of multiple projects! And what better things for my family to be surrounded with than fabric and yarn!

  7. Great quilting, I'm glad you mentioned taking a project a long on those holidays visit's. I'm planning on doing some knitting or binding since I too can't just sit there.

  8. I would get restless if I had only one project to do... Happy Thanksgiving!! How fun you take something with you to do while visiting.

  9. Thanks. That's a splendid reason for multiple projects. I feel so much less guilty now.

  10. I hope your Thanksgiving was great and that you got lots done on the blanket (a smart project to haul around when it's cold out)!

  13. Beautiful quilt! I hope your holiday was perfect and you found just the right thing to keep your hands busy! I can relate - I think I have a different project in every room of my house so that if I find myself with a sleeping (or nursing) baby I can pick it up and work on it.

  16. I'm a multi-project person too. I enjoy having more than one going, then I work on whatever fits my mood. Sometimes I want to sew at the machine, other times I prefer some hand sewing in front of the TV. And then I need something portable to take along for whenever I need it.
