  1. You have some hard weeks ahead of you. I'm hoping they go by quickly.

  2. I can't imagine doing what you are doing. Stay strong - the time will go quickly. Saying good-bye is hard enough, but even harder without your partner there to support you. Take care of yourself!

  3. Moving sucks..being apart from your husband sucks. I don't think there are words to make the here and now any easier, but at least you can know that it WILL get better. Just like the encouraging message you gave to your friend through the quilt...the future's so bright!

  4. So sorry that you miss your husband. Soon you will be together again. Not soon enough though.

Moving does stink. Leaving friends behind is never easy. At least you still have your friends in blogland.

I totally agree with what Holly said! We've had to do quite a few moves ourselves because of my DH's profession and it's SO HARD to move from friends and places you love. Boy do I feel for you for I know what you are going through.

Something that keeps me from going bonkers with sadness is knowing that if we hadn't made all those crazy moves... I would have never even met the wonderful friends I've made on our whacky movapaloozas. My friend Cindy (lostinwi.blogspot.com) is one of them, and she's in WI now too! She's a quilter and wildlife fan like you too!

Best of luck with your move and a big hug to chase some of the blues away! :o)

  6. Oh, this post is tugging at my heart strings! I'm so sorry that you have to leave the good friends that you've made. I can only hope that you'll make fabulous new friends once your're in your new home. And the juicy fruit gum for Dad? Ouch. That's so cute it hurts!

We've moved on average about every 3 yrs for the last 24 years - I know what it's like :( All will be well and new people will come into your life. Your friend will never forget you, especially with a cool parting gift like that one!!

  12. I know this may sound really lame, but we'll all still be here for you...your blog friends will move right along with you. And they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, so keep thinking good thoughts and when you & hubby are together again you'll have so many wonderful moments to make up for these difficult days. Hearts, hugs, smiles...to you.

  13. That's a lovely purse!
The cool thing about blog friends is that they'll always be there, no matter where in the world you go.
I hope you feel more cheery tomorrow.

  14. What a lovely tote, all the better for being made with such love for the recipient.

And the dinosaur is very scary! :)

  15. I'm sorry you are having a rough day, my friend. I know that you really hate being apart from Kevin. Moving is tough, especially when you are leaving friends far away. We will have to try to get together to do something once you get settled in. The others are right, too. Blogland would still be her even if you moved to Timbuktu, even though you might have pretty slow internet access if you lived there... Point is, we're not going anywhere. Call me or email me anytime if you need an ear to listen. You and Kevin and the kids are constantly in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh, and tell Zach that that is the coolest dinosaur I have ever seen and his Dad will love it!
